In FM18 I left Panathinaikos after 5 Champions League titles in a row Who Panathinaikos replaced me with? Diego Simeone who was the favourite for the job? Koeman who was amazing in FM18 and second favourite? Mourinho who was the third favourite? Perhaps my former assistant that won the Europa League with Panachaiki? No, a random regent manager that had spent 10 years in Levadiakos and before that he was managing in third division in Greece... . He spawned/was first hired as a second division assistant manager in 2020. His stats were shit but somehow he stil won everything with Panathinaikos(3 Champions league titles in 10 years and all local titles). After 10 years, I returned in Greece to challenge my former's teams dominance. After I won the League against him with Pas Giannena, he left Panathinaikos(he wasn't sacked) for a random English team that had a takeover(I believe it was Crystal Palace). After winning the Premier League with them, he got the England job and lost the World Cup final to me managing Greece. That's the craziest managerial career i had seen.
Panachaiki is my local club so learning they won a Europa League being managed by the AI is bonkers. Congrats on your Panathinaikos save too, even though I support AEK and manage them a lot.
You might've heard of Vítor Oliveira, who's known as the king of promotions. He got teams promoted to the portuguese top tier an astonishing 11 times, including 5 consecutive promotions in the 2010's, and this is because he would leave the teams after getting promoted. His teams would usually play entertaining attacking football and he would build talented squads every year. Unfortunately he passed away quite suddenly in late 2020 so I'd guess he's no longer in the FM23 database, with FM21 likely being the last game where he's an active manager. His career is so unique and I'm curious where a simulation would take it. He's considered one of the best Portuguese managers to have never managed one of the big 3. If you want to know more, I believe The Guardian did an article about him.
Do Fernando Santos next, the "Engineer" of Portugal's EURO 2016 win and Nation's League 2018 win (he's actually an Electric Engineer, thus why we, portuguese people, call him "The Engineer") He started his managerial career in Estoril Praia, in 1987, at 33 years old, and, as it stands, he's 68 and has 8 total titles (1 Portuguese League, 2 Taças de Portugal, 2 Portuguese Supercups, 1 Greek Cup, EURO 2016 and UEFA Nations League 2018)
id love to see a video of a team of players with 20/20 attributes but all in the wrong positions and in a game-breakingly bad tactic against players with 1 (or maybe 5) in everything but all in the perfect positions in a perfect tactic (one of the online ones with loads of player instructions, set pieces, etc). would show how much attributes matter and how much tactics matter!
Great stuff, as usual, Tom. I know that this would be almost impossible as he's obviously not in FM, but the late, great Brian Clough, starting at Hartlepool(s). If you could make that happen... well, I don't know what I'd do.
Cracking idea and video. If there was any way of doing Harry Redknapp, Neil Warnock or Sam Allardyce it would be interesting as a similar age/style! Keep up the videos anyway loving them
One idea I think would be super cool, would be to take some absolute legends from football clubs, and create them back in the academy of said clubs. So for Liverpool you could make a young Kenny Dalglish, Stevie G, Robbie Fowler etc. and see how their careers pan out.
You could do shankly or paisley. See what club they join and where they end up. Perhaps set it up so they start with a championship team as manager and assistant manager.
Hey I have an inyresting idea for the next manager to choose take the Iceland national team manager that took Iceland to the WC I think he is now the national manager of jamaica
Can you do Pochettino? I think it would be great as he's now jobless after the downfall at Spurs and getting the boot from PSG. Should make for a great video, love the content
I think you should do something like that with Guardiola and put him in a small team with little to no means. Now we'll see if he really is as good as people say he is.
If you want weird international fm stories on my current Ipswich save in 2034 Kosovo, Latvia, and India all qualified for their first world cup and made up 3 of the last 8 and Kosovo ended up third overall after winning on penalties every time except losing to Australia in the semis who would themselves go on to win 1-0 in the final against Italy
Man wins the Scottish Prem and the Serie A, plus 3 Coppa Italias and gets appointed England Manager. Me: alright, realistic enough process with how the English FA chooses managers. Roy wins the World Cup Final against Brazil. Me: 😳
In world soccer champs i have won 4 Club World Cups 2 World Cups 2 Euros 4 Champions Leagues 2 Copa Americas 1 La Liga 1 Europa League 1 Premier League 2 European Super Cups 1 Carabao Cup 1 Portuguese National Cup 1 Copa Del Rey 1 Liga Nos 1 Ligue 1 1 FA Cup 1 Bundesliga 1 DFB Pokal 1 Cope De France 1 Portuguese Super Cup 1 French Super Cup 2 German Super Cup Stats: M 508 W 410 D 71 L 27 Top Goalscorer Erling Haaland 206 Goals For Club And Country And In 19 Seasons I Have 21 Trophies
Video idea: Bring Yugoslavia back to see how they would do in modern day football
just sim 50 years in Croatia lets be real its like siming wales and scotland in to the English football. Nothing really changes
@@TheSirAshton90 what? ur nuts if u think that the intake of players from serbia/slovenia/bosnia and the rest wouldn't make a difference
That's one way to get all the people from those countries to fight in the comments 😶
They haven't got along in years
@@bp3366the last time I saw someone mention it.
It turned into a debate on if Kosovo was a country 😂
I'd love that!
No way he went from only 3 league titles in over 20 years to beating Brazil in a WC thats insane

That sounds wild, what a career 😂
You need to do Sir Alex. I'm VERY intrigued as to how the AI would shape his career in that universe lol.
Cracking shout!
Add wenger aswell
and Jose but do them all in the same save
@@TomFM can you use real managers or is it a mod

Replay the career of the legend himself, Neil Warnock.
What a man!
Halmstad are actually back in the top flight of Swedish football but not in Fm23 because the league starts in the beginning of April
I did notice that when doing some research for the video, looks like they had a great season last time out!
Do Fernando Santos next, the "Engineer" of Portugal's EURO 2016 win and Nation's League 2018 win (he's actually an Electric Engineer, thus why we, portuguese people, call him "The Engineer")

should do Conte next, see if he lasts more than a season at a club
I can't look at Roy Hodgson anymore without internally shouting "WORHAMMUH"
Thanks Athletico Mince.

Absolutely loved the video mate!
Cracking idea and video. If there was any way of doing Harry Redknapp, Neil Warnock or Sam Allardyce it would be interesting as a similar age/style! Keep up the videos anyway loving them
Jose Mourinho would be interesting to see if would've got the same succes
He is the special one!

Good video, I enjoyed that 👍🏻
SUPER ROYY HODGSONNNN
Surprised it isn’t a 50 year long video
Can't believe he stopped at 67!
Halmstad BK is my local team and we're actually in the first division it's just that FM23 starts in last season!
Broooo ur videos are smoother than my pick up lines.
What about Sir Alex? Using the database from the last FM he appeared in?
Hey I have an inyresting idea for the next manager to choose take the Iceland national team manager that took Iceland to the WC I think he is now the national manager of jamaica
For my FM I spent my entire career at Barca and more recently Spain went 5 seasons undefeated in Spain losing 2 CL finals to PSG
The fact Roy’s actually doing bits at Palace rn
Can you do Pochettino? I think it would be great as he's now jobless after the downfall at Spurs and getting the boot from PSG. Should make for a great video, love the content
The legend Sam alladyce
Sven-Göran Eriksson next!
Roy: WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?!?!
Video idea simulate 500 years in the future to see who are the best
7:33 ah yes, tradition
Roy the master of finishing second. No wonder all the ladies love him!
96 years of hurt
But it finally came home
I think that a Replay of Mourinho Career could be interesting for a next video

I think you should do something like that with Guardiola and put him in a small team with little to no means. Now we'll see if he really is as good as people say he is.
Wenger would be interesting, as he started in Japan if I remember correctly
you could simulate Mourinho to see if he can win a title with every club he manages (expect tottenham) just like irl
Arsene Wenger- always wondered how his career would’ve been if he left Arsenal.
I love watching your vids ❤❤❤
I saw Wout Weghorst in Burnley.

I replayed Roy Hodgson's career
..
There's a first and a last time for everything.
If you want bizarre, in fm20 england won the 2022 wc on my save, with steve bruce as manager…
You should do a simulation of Will Still's career.
Neil Warnock would be brilliant for this!
Terry Venables? Glen Hoddle? Graham Taylor? Or the legendary Brian Clough?
Man wins the Scottish Prem and the Serie A, plus 3 Coppa Italias and gets appointed England Manager.
Me: alright, realistic enough process with how the English FA chooses managers.
Roy wins the World Cup Final against Brazil.
Me: 😳
Honestly that's a pretty good career overall
Bob Houghton or Jon Dahl Tomasson or Henrik Rydström
So basically he became Roma’s Arsene Wenger 😂 Long steady career at the top sprinkled with mainly cup wins.
Do Don Revie. In a contemporary sense total brutality.
