Since you asked, I'll probably just print something for the first party magsafe charger I got with my 12. Doesn't seem like there's a whole lot to be gained here from complicating the add-on tech for this feature
I found the problem with the kickstand ones is that it takes too much effort to mount or align them, especially if you’re looking for an alarm clock replacement on your nightstand. I ended up getting the much cheaper Belkin wireless charger from BB which you can almost literally toss your phone on, plus you can use it vertically so the Standby function doesn’t work if you still want to charge you phone.
Ik this is a stupid question but perphaps a video on best phone kickstands for iPhone 15 I like watching TH-cam with a kickstand because it helps so any suggestions by any chance a good one to get ?
Can you do an updated review on MagSafe grips? I just came across the case mate MagSafe Loop Grip and it looks like it might be a MagSafe version of the loopy case. It’s the 1st one I’ve seen that’s silicone

Do you feel the Anker Cube's tilt angle is steep enough for using at the bedside? I am thinking I want something closer to 90 degrees - like the OtterBox one (but it only has two chargers).
Nice video, but I wish you went into a little more detail about which phones are compatible with each stand. I was really interested in the Spigen stand, but I have read comments where people say it does not work with iPhone 14 Pro because of the size of the camera bump. Can you confirm this? Also, will using a case on an iPhone of any model be a problem with the Spigen?
I have the spigen magsafe stand. I got it for my iphone 12 at the time, but I've been using it with my 14 pro for a while now. It sort of works, the Casetify impact case I have on my phone is so thick that it's almost flush to the charger, but the camera ring rests on the plastic frame and if you shine a light through you can see a small gap. But it holds okay, and charges noticeably slower than my iphone 12 did (also Casetify case, but that one had a thinner back). If you're not getting the larger phone, you're better off with a different stand.

NEWS FLASH: Costco now offers a new & improved Anker Mag-go 3-in-1 Cube charger for US$80. It is Qi2 compatible, comes with a 40W wall wart, and … a 10W USB-C output port for you to plug a fourth thingie into! (E.g. if you want to charge his & hers Apple Watches.) Great value.
All I see from this is more ways to rinse and F your battery up. If your battery is at 100% and you wanna utilise standby mode all night will that not eventually kill your battery in long run. Or with Apple a month or 3.
If the phone needs to be charging to go into standby mode, then this feature is completely useless to me. A shame because I could have actually had use for standby mode while I slept.

Question - Hows the viewing affected if you have a Privacy screen protector on your phone? I have the cube charger but just thinking if I have to get a Privacy screen protector or a regular one. I use night stand every night and its kinda important for me.

I found with my 14 Pro Max with the 17 Beta (all the way up to the latest one) that wireless charging would often fail to kick in and standby mode wouldn’t turn on. This happened with a number of different wireless chargers. Hopefully fixed with the final IOS 17.
Can you please test the new MOFT Snap-on Phone Stand & Wallet MOVAS. The MOVAS is a renewed version. Customer support claim it's material is better than the older version and the magnets are much stronger (18.5N) with a holding strength of 3.96 lbs ( 1,800 g). I'd like to see a review before buying it!
I have an iPhone 14 pro max that I charge in the evening before bed, now if I want to use standby mode I have to leave it plugged in burning up battery health. Apple has just brought out a new way to kill battery health faster so we buy iPhones more often! What a shame. Thanks for your great video, though.

I got a nice Ankr one from Walmart for $30! And the mount adjust angles so i can see while im still laying in bed without having to maneuver to see it ha. Such a good pick up
You seem to have switched the 633 and 623 around. I haven't pulled the trigger yet but was thinking about the 633 for the sake of having a powerbank when I'm on the go.

The twelve south Fortè stand with an Apple Magsafe charger on it. The angle is adjustible and the total price is less than the stands that include a real MagSafe charger (not a Qi one).
Could you go into detail as to why the wireless option is bad? It seems like a good option to me: you'd have the wireless charger plugged in during normal use, then it's ready to go when you leave the house.
I'll never use wireless charging regularly. Same with aod. I don't want the battery to get even hitter than it already does and waste it on useless modes
I kinda know what I want, just a silver stand with adjustable magsafe head. My phone is the most convenient clock for me in my office, so this is actually a really good feature.
Anyone having issues with the camera bump getting in the way of the phone sitting flush? Its probably more of an issue on the smaller pro (big camera, small body) but I suspect some stands with large flat surfaces will not allow for full contact

I’ve been using the Lab21 magsafe charger, it’s wonderful for this and looks nice too. Fun fact, standby works the same as it does on the watch - just bumping your table or stomping your foot will light the display.

I have the Otterbox 3-in-1 charging station. I’m not particularly someone who likes Otterbox products, but I’ve been really happy with it.

The ESR CyroBoost is the best imo. It charges your iPhone but also cools it to prevent degradation of battery.
