It’s actually a very well written and comprehensive book th-cam.com/users/postUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 . I wanted to pair this with an updated book on local codes to start planning a post-retirement dream shop. I think I have just about everything I need between the two. The extra plans available for purchase towards the end are priced almost as much as full home plans, not little sheds however.
You have given us a priceless video; the wealth of education!! You are a phenomenal teacher!! So easy to listen to with that incredible voice I could listen to you all day long everyday 🙋♀️💗
Wow, you earned that beer! And kids at school don't see the point of learning basic math... great demo of how a bit of geometry makes something that looks so confusing really simple. Great job.
Its incredible how precise you are and with such speed. Cutting out that custom sheet would of taken most people 4 times that long and it wouldn't of fit as nice. You are a master of your trade man .
The Crazy Framer you are so good on what you do and for all your hard work on your own you have to be taking good money and I love your Video so keep the good work up and keep them coming
Hello Cr. Fr. Now l see how you joined the two roofs together. You do precision cutting and fitting. Anxious to see how you're going to sheath the front trusses. Enjoy the day. Ray L
finally a beer.... that detail where the roofs meet was pretty good.. this is saved for rewatching... lots of accurate measuring and cutting in this one. ... good job :o)
Good job.. waiting to see how you sheeting those upper attic walls. I'm guessing you going to just reach over the edge and nail it off. I seen short Mexicans rip the sheets in half and nail 2' at a time. I have always used the same math for the long cuts on rafters I have tried to explain to other framers and most just don't get it and use a framing sq or blocks of wood to mark just way slower.
Hey man just found your channel and impressed by how you make everything seem like a one man job. I live in Oregon and frame as well. Would love to come work with you
Great video ... at one point I was scratching my head why you were taking a diagonal measurement - wondering what wizardry you were revealing ... doh! Fish eye lens. This series started slow with all the prefab stuff but this was a tremendous clip!
For all that's holy and good..Please make a video where you go back and nail the decking down solid so It would satisfy the multitudes that are wondering "Is that is all the roof deck gets nailed?"
@the crazy framer I'm building a deck and putting joist on 400mm centres and if I measure from one end and go 400 for the layout for the joist hangers will it be 400 on center or will I need to got 400 and go back 25mm to be 400
Beer time i like that part cause most of the time after hard work is beer time ....the reason i said that is my dad retired from construction and I'm talking building with blocks and wood for does who know about building in PR......
i assume you go back and staple the shit out of everything when we're not watching ? Do you hand nail your joist hangers on too ? You're great to watch I just love air tools for framing .
All that Gable overhang work seems waisted in that neighborhood. Install a rake board and be done. Oh wait..then you wouldn't have had the opportunity to build your double crickit. Good job!
Top notch entertainment, watching TCF, while I stuff my face with a cake on a couch. Stay safe bro, I'd be bummed as fuck if something happened to ya. Best regards !
Canadian code is entirely in metric but all numbers were converted from imperial wood construction numbers back in the 70's when we switched to the metric system. As a gen X kid, I learnt both but for construction I still find feet and inches easier to eyeball and measure. You can have plans printed in either system so long as it's accurate and meets code.
I want some of those drugs........the drugs the architect was on who designed this building. Great work keeping up with him. Look forward every day for your vids.
Yeah. Architects too often don't consider all those compound roof points are a pain for the framer, and the roofer, AND the homeowner - with the leak potential.
Is it wrong for me to say that I actually miss your videos I have a wife so don't think of anything else LOL time to look at the video and drink a beer early
INQUIRING MINDS: Anyone looking for *The Crazy Framer* to provide a visual confirmation that the basement tele-posts were actually mechanically attached (e.g., lags or high-sheer-strength GRKs, etc.) to both the basement concrete slabs and the overhead beams? *Asking for a friend
Well, *The Crazy Framer's* perhaps had one too many beers, forgot his account login/password? Maybe he's fallen and can't get up? Or just lost interest? Likely, he's just playing video games with his nephew, Eh? Oh well, it was pretty cool while it lasted.

It is beautiful.
Agreed, but I don’t see a leash on his shadow?
Not too cool when u work alone
And firm with numbers at the same time, impressive!
Master framer at his best!!
I really do love watching you work Spider-Man 🙋♀️❤️
Cool mini roof on the roof!
Thanks for the quick lesson on calculating the angle of the seat cut on those gables.
Absolutely beautiful work. Can't get enough.
And the beer is back!!
Man you're good at what you do.
nice looking cricket there! good job!
Dude....you make it look so easy. Nice job
making his mark! nail by nail! 👌👍
Just found your channel, nice work man!, I'm hoping to have my channel likes your some day!
The Crazy Framer you are so good on what you do and for all your hard work on your own you have to be taking good money and I love your Video so keep the good work up and keep them coming
Very thoughtful to lower the volume at the skill saw. Always great techniques.
Hello Cr. Fr. Now l see how you joined the two roofs together. You do precision cutting and fitting. Anxious to see how you're going to sheath the front trusses. Enjoy the day. Ray L
Very clever, maths comes in handy 👍👍
Great work, very inspiring, shout out from CAPE TOWN SOUTH AFRICA
Excellent tutoring of that saddle! Always wondered ho that was done. You're the man!!
Hi TCF. Your channel has the best comments on YT I think.
Keep it up.
finally a beer.... that detail where the roofs meet was pretty good.. this is saved for rewatching... lots of accurate measuring and cutting in this one. ... good job :o)
Roofing overlap = the X-Wing of framing. The force is strong with this one!
I learned something today
Nice cricket
Great vid C.F. love and respect from Ireland 👊

That’s exactly how I did it. You’ll see in the next episode.
CF continues to be thorough and efficient. The saddle was a clean solution to joining the two roofs.
Patiently impatiently Patiently waiting for next video
You've got it sir!! I'm a GC who frames now an then but dam!!
Glad your drinkin' again!
Very nice detail at the valley point.
Nice!
Hey man just found your channel and impressed by how you make everything seem like a one man job. I live in Oregon and frame as well. Would love to come work with you
So glad to see that saddle!! I was thinking that is always gonna leak even with metal flashing there. Not now....crazy framer 1 roof leak 0
I wonder if you are going to do any more videos of your work I enjoy watching you build houses
TH-cam has been putting MillerCoors adds for Milller High Life before and in your videos.
Great video ... at one point I was scratching my head why you were taking a diagonal measurement - wondering what wizardry you were revealing ... doh! Fish eye lens. This series started slow with all the prefab stuff but this was a tremendous clip!
need an update of the house from season 2... how's it look now?
ehh, umm, he took a smoke break and the whole house burned down so he started from scratch.
👍👍👍!
Crazy good
Looks like a great place for birds to hang out, where the roofs overlap
Have u ever slipped on saw dust on the roof?
Could you tell something about how the middle piece is drawn on the drawing? Thank you. This was very interesting.
Season 3 Episode 23. ??
100% Kickass
I like your calculator. Best piece of wood, no batteries required.
For all that's holy and good..Please make a video where you go back and nail the decking down solid so It would satisfy the multitudes that are wondering "Is that is all the roof deck gets nailed?"
LoL yeah so many ppl ask that question every series come roofing time.
@the crazy framer I'm building a deck and putting joist on 400mm centres and if I measure from one end and go 400 for the layout for the joist hangers will it be 400 on center or will I need to got 400 and go back 25mm to be 400
Where the two roof lines join looks like a water problem waiting to happen?
Beer time i like that part cause most of the time after hard work is beer time ....the reason i said that is my dad retired from construction and I'm talking building with blocks and wood for does who know about building in PR......
i assume you go back and staple the shit out of everything when we're not watching ?
Do you hand nail your joist hangers on too ? You're great to watch I just love air tools for framing .
And what size of the board goes for rafters?
I thought we'd see the final video of the framing complete.
Hey framer
U know what's crazy that i only can give one thumps up?????? Now that sucks🍺
Nice. You call them a saddle. We call them crickets. So out of curiosity, what is the final count on days to build looking like? Who came closest?
Late to the party, but how did get up there to run the osb on the face of the trusses?
Just watched ep 23. Got the answer, good job, Sir.
Crazy Framer where are you ? Whats going on with you ?
He was on facebook the 23 so he's okay.
What does he do when it rains?
do you go back and add more nails to the sheets ??
When is episode 23 coming out?
What happened to The Crazy Framer? Did he finish that duplex already?
I was thinking the same thing. Once he gets the roof sheeting done, it's adios.
@@Z-Bart He's still missing the interior walls...
I think it could be the weather up in Canada?!?
Sorry for my english...I'm french. But why nailing the frame with the gun and the OSB roof with nail and hammer ?
Thank you and Bravo !!!
He’s just using the hammer and nails to tack up the sheets of osb he will go back in with a nailer and put more nails in
Whats going on???? Wheres the next episode. Hope all is well
awesome vids man🙌 but why do you prefer to sheath by hand instead of with a nailgun?
He is only tacking the sheets down to keep them from blowing off the roof. He goes back with a roofing stapler when he is all finished.
👍
everything is ok its time for a beer
All that Gable overhang work seems waisted in that neighborhood. Install a rake board and be done. Oh wait..then you wouldn't have had the opportunity to build your double crickit. Good job!

I was surprised that you calculated utilizing the Imperial System and not the Metric. 🤯🤯It is time for a 🍺.

As a gen X kid, I learnt both but for construction I still find feet and inches easier to eyeball and measure. You can have plans printed in either system so long as it's accurate and meets code.
Thank you for taking time to explain that in such great detail.
Much appreciated and extremely interesting. 👍🏼🍺🇨🇦🇨🇦

Yeah. Architects too often don't consider all those compound roof points are a pain for the framer, and the roofer, AND the homeowner - with the leak potential.
Where your safety gloves, maybe splinters will get in your hands
🍻
Hey what happened framer with that video u taken it down i have been waiting for ur video!!!!!
and its daaaaaay.... who knows :o)
Hardest working man on TH-cam: Frame all day and edit videos all night! #TCF
Where are you ?
5:24 mind reading...effing architects
When is the next video
The people next door are going to save in their cooling bill now that they live in the shade of that duplex.
It didn't fit in one go. The camera went off and on again, after which you see that he had to use the saw again.
Why don’t you put nails on every stud? Seemed to skip over a bit. Is that to the code?
alles ok ?
He was on facebook 23 of May, so he's okay. :)
EP 23? -- HOPE YOUR OK
why are houses so narrow?
Why are lots so narrow?
Bad with the headcam sir.
I would have fallen off by now
Is it wrong for me to say that I actually miss your videos I have a wife so don't think of anything else LOL time to look at the video and drink a beer early
lmao... It's a Bromance (?)

Going from an 8/12 to a 3/12, it seems like you're building a third deck on the house.
He shows up
He fucks shit up
He leaves
Mic drop 🎤
Spiderman
Uh oh you put the wane out on that last fly you hung
Well, *The Crazy Framer's* perhaps had one too many beers, forgot his account login/password? Maybe he's fallen and can't get up? Or just lost interest? Likely, he's just playing video games with his nephew, Eh? Oh well, it was pretty cool while it lasted.
Final episode will be out tomorrow. Then daily videos will start again.
MIA
wya
Sorry CF must be my age but the helmet cam is making me feel sick
Framer needs two camera angles so he can switch back and forth!
Problem is he ditched awhile ago cause of people saying that then got comments to bring it back. Guy can't win.
Name of series: How to build a house-if you're a geometry wizard with iron balls.
