- Hi! Thank you for stopping by! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch my video! I could not believe it when I was out walking and doing some errands that I came across this planner that no one even talks about on TH-cam (or I haven't seen it anyway)! Is it the best planner for 2024!? It's almost perfect!!!

I am watching this video for the 3rd time bc it just cracks me up, you are so hilarious and finally saying what everyone’s been thinking!!! Planners have gotten so ridiculously expensive, and way too much consumerism and planner hopping. I definitely want to try this Muji one, and this year I honestly just went to target to look for basic planner. Thank you for your honest perspective!!!

Uh, don’t forget, it’s not just a Hobonichi planner, and a Hobonichi cover, but also the Hobonichi COVER ON COVER. I keep picturing the people at Hobonichi sitting around a boardroom and coming up with ridiculous concepts for folks like me to spend way too much money on. 😂😂😂

@@kyra_james I find it very sensible. On the one that stays in my house I don't need a cover on cover to keep my cover clean. On the one I carry I do. I only have 1 cover for each size I use, so I like to keep it nice. Each person can pick the amount of cover that suits them, and I prefer that. The beauty of choice.
Well in Japan in general it's very common to have clear cover on top of the covers of your notebooks and planners... It's just a thing ! lol
I just discovered this year how affordable and practical and gorgeous muji notebooks and planners are. Love your videos, on point, we are all thinking it 😂❤

i also have this planner! but mine is the B6 weekly vertical in black kraft paper + plastic cover. i already swapped the black to a more beige kraft paper and decorated it with stickers. i've always wanted to try hobonichi planners but this year, i saw this first in the store so i decided to buy it on a whim and so far, i'm loving it. the overall look is similar to hobonichi's aesthetics, so i feel like i'm not missing out on much. i hope people can give this planner a try because it really is affordable for the quality that you get 😊

I totally feel you on trying to get your niece into planners. I just received a wall calendar for my nephew who’s really into knowing everyone’s birthday. I’m also hoping to get him into planners. He’s already into stickers (like most 4 year olds). Between liking stickers and his obsession with knowing dates, I feel like we might have a true planner babe on our hands.

Finally you got this!! Mine is same but in black, a7 size. Because it has cover, I put my credit card and also there is pen holder, (so it’s like what you said, basically it’s cheep version of hobonichi and traveler’s notebook haha )so I put my frixion 3 multi pen to plan my day whenever I want, and you can erase out if there’s a canceled schedule - because it’s frixion! I LOVE JAPANESE STATIONARY!! (Especially Muji and Pilot products haha) great video btw!
And because muji gel pen is plastic, I change the cover to sarasa ( by zebra ) or I put punyugrip because I study a lot. Still my favorite gel pen!

one of my favorite planners is the muji b6 vertical planner!
the paper is very nice and a good medium between Tomoe River and Leuctterum, very smooth!
and i absolutely prefer vertical layouts
i used it for two years (2019, 2020 when it was $12.90) BUT i can never it online or in store,
so i tried the horizontal a6 one in 2023 for a week and it didn't work for me,
(the rows are too thin and the grid was too big, and at almost $15 for the dated weekly planners i couldn't have it just sitting around, so i gave it to my sister)
i really wanted to like it but i think I've been spoiled by using hobonichi sobs
they also have academic start planners too (September).
and their cheapest planners (the undated weekly craft paper ones) are around $1.... and up to $5 (undated monthly weekly for a whole year).
i just really love their notebooks too, so i always stock up on them when i go visit.

I've used the weekly one a couple of times and it is very nice. The paper holds ink well and the minimal style is not overwhelming. Sadly it is not so easy to find a Muji store where I live...

I actually grabbed a similar planner a few years ago and was so excied.. then all the pages fell out lol. It was so cheap I wasn't upset but I really did like the planner

I wish there was a Muji by me. They closed down so many stores in the states. Their planners sell out so dang fast on the US website. I am sure they have stock in the stores but I can’t get to one. Ugh.

Muji is great but a. you need to find one. b. you have to get to it. c. they have to have things in stock. I'm also not too much of a fan for the paper as I'm a fountain pen user. Also that place is a candy store and I might be bankrupt before I escape. Also finding a Muji isn't easy. They are also alwwys out of stock on the website every time I go to look for stuff.
yes... where I live it's not easy to find either... I have had no problems with the Pelikan ink I use... so I think it is okay for some fountain pen inks at least😄
