Interesting 🤔. I’m considering putting these on my keyboard that I mainly use for gaming because I find myself getting fatigued during long gaming sessions. But I’m not a big fan of that clacky sound.
@@michaeljosiah536 assuming a constant speed keystroke, these should actuate in just under half the time standard (cherry) switches would from the beginning of the key press 👌 And yeah! I’ve been super impressed with HMX. Not only their lube, but the switches have the least amount of stem wobble that I’ve ever come across
Yeah! So the Akko ones actuate at 1mm vs 0.9mm, and they have a lighter spring. Akko has 40gf to actuate vs 45gf. In terms of gaming, it would probably be hard to tell the difference. I actually prefer a slightly heavier spring, as I find myself accidentally inputting while my fingers are resting on the keycaps when using light springs. But this is preference. In terms of factory lubricants.. I think the HMX switches win and it’s not close. I’m unsure how the Akko ones sound, but if it’s anything like the Cream Yellow Pros, I personally find them to sound thin and high pitched
These are actually manufactured by HMX! The lube is similar to other switches from them. They seem to be constantly tuning their lubing process and listening to customer’s feedback
