I never thought someone would move me the way Pavarotti did....until now.
OK, just had to compare, line by line, with our beloved Pavarotti (so miss him). The main difference is the richness in Dan's deep tones interwoven between true tenor tones. Pavorarotti is a true tenor, probably the best ever, but Dan takes the listener to so many different places, all-in-one-song.
I agree. Dan has such an exceptional gift, and has worked very hard, I'm sure, to develop his voice to this degree of ability. Unbelievable beauty. ❤
Good singers all have power in their voices, but it's very rare for singers to have such a presence! It's not simply a fullness of sound, nor belligerence demanding to be heard. The greatest vocalists produce a wave of sound that's insurmountable, but soft to listen to. That's what you have brother. Fantastic work.

Greetings from Germany. I'm 65 years old and I'm not limited to one music genre. I came across you, Dan, through a reaction to "Amazing Grace" and since I also like heavy metal, I was looking for more videos from you. I am enthusiastic about the variety of music that is offered to me here. Without music my day would be very sad, as I have been living in a nursing home for 4 years due to a serious illness. The leisure activities offered to us residents are very manageable here and there most of my roommates are between I'm 85 and 100 years old, these offers are more tailored to very old people and so I feel very lost here. I'm usually alone in my room, trying to paint something, even though I have symptoms of paralysis in my hands. Music accompanies me All day long, without music it is even more desolate for me here. When I was young, I sang in a church choir. Unfortunately, my illness also caused nerve paralysis in my diaphragm and my lungs were also damaged as a result, so that's what happened to me Unfortunately, it's no longer possible to sing. Unfortunately, I've never been to a concert in my life. Luckily, there's You Tube, so I'm always looking for new musical experiences here. Luckily, I've now come across you, even though you've probably been running your channel for a few years now. Now I've heard "Nessum Dorma" from you and I first have to calmly process this performance because I can't put my enthusiasm into words. By You would get a standing ovation if I could stand. Since I can't stand anymore, I'll shout "Bravo" as loud as I can. I hope it's loud enough to reach you. Thank you Dan for this great gift You make people, including sick people, with your voice, your power and your passion.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I have a congenital polyneuropathy with muscular dystrophy and nerve paralysis and this disease never stops. As a teenager I could still walk. Around 30 I needed an assistant, later 2 and at 35 I was in a wheelchair and can no longer walk. Of course it is My spine was also totally damaged. In 2005 I suffered a stroke and shortly afterwards I suffered from shortness of breath. It was discovered that I had paralysis in the diaphragm, with extreme elevation of the diaphragm and one lung partially collapsed. A short time later I had symptoms of paralysis Aarthrosis in the left hand and in the right hand starts the same way. I have a few other little aches and pains that I don't want to list them all. After a stay in the hospital, I was taken to a nursing home. I am considered to be completely out of therapy. Because I I have already retired at the age of 35, my disability pension is not high enough for me to be able to cover the costs of living alone, so the social welfare office steps in. I asked whether I could go to “assisted living” because there are many of them People my age. Here in the home they are on average 20-35 years older. But the office only pays for accommodation in homes. Here I am now waiting until I die. The music gives me the strength not to completely despair here. It Unfortunately, there are not enough nursing staff, which is something we residents and of course the nursing staff suffer from. The food... well, I think there is better food in some prisons. Our food here is delivered. The employment program is very manageable and only for old people. Here There are many roommates with dementia. My body is broken, but my mind still works and I still feel young. The music gives me strength and it's nice that you come across such great artists like Dan on the Internet, that you would otherwise never have heard of. And even if you aren't there live, which I think is a shame, you can still enjoy the music here and always experience moments of happiness in a dreary world.

I have probably listened to his "Amazing Grace" 50 times since I first heard it. a couple weeks ago. This also blew me away and showed many more aspects of his voice. What an incredible talent. I can't think of any other contemporary singer who sings with as much genuine emotion as Dan does.

It's funny that a rock singer it's 100 times better than the actual opera singers. Just hear that natural vibrato, that squillo and no voce ingolata or artificial darkening of the voice at all. Very well done and respect to this dude

Dan, you're so talented. For a long time I stopped listening to music. Same songs, different day. I go through these major depressions where I can barely even leave my own house. It's a major struggle. Then I hear your music and I'm like holy shit, this guy's voice wakes something up in me and makes me enjoy music again. This probably just sounds weird, but that's what music is about. If someone can take a song and make you feel something while listening to it, they have succeeded 110%. Thanks for that.

It was 9 years ago when I took a lady out to Vienna's second, somewhat less important opera house - the Volksoper. It should be quick. Turandot was given. I remember that after "Nessun Dorma" I would have liked to boo the tenor because unfortunately he failed because of the greatness of the aria. My companion and I couldn't feel the deep emotion in his singing. And yet - probably because of tradition - he received a standing ovation. Dan, you did what he failed to do.
I've been listening to your covers for a couple of years now and this one still moves heaven and earth. Bravo! My grandpa came to the US as a migrant worker from Mexico. He would sing Mexican tunes with several of his fellow workers at a grange hall on weekends, and that's where my grandma first saw him. She's 92 and still talks about how she sat enraptured listening to his voice.
