As far as i’m concerned, the recommendations of the vertical diet are the most comprehensive guidelines to maximize body composition, health and performance i’ve ever seen. Literally every nutrient (macro and micro) is accounted for, every part of recovery is accounted for, training is accounted for, appetite control is accounted for and the list goes on. i’m sure it’s missing something but as of now i can’t figure out what. Stan is the man.

I'm not hungry in the morning, so it is much easier to skip breakfast. Im ALWAYS hungry in the evening, so it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to skip dinner.

Same here but I force myself to drink a protein shake with egg whites and oatmeal so that I can start my day with 50g of protein and carbs.

I think that sleep is more nuanced than people realize. Not everyone needs 7-9hrs. If anything, I actually feel better on 5-6hrs.
When I sleep more, I actually drag and feel lethargic as hell. As weird as it sounds, I feel sharper and more dialed in on less sleep.
Now, of course, I get the argument that less sleep produces more ghrelin for hunger. So, it would make calorie control harder in theory. But intermittent fasting trains your body to have rock solid hunger cues.

You feeling sharper on less sleep might have to do with the fight or flight response and stress hormones due to less sleep. How long a period did you try to get 7+ hours of sleep? Was it sufficiently long enough to re-adapt to it instead of the shorter sleep?
