Thank you for breaking this down. 8:48. Grany flats - does this mean in Old we cannot build a granny flat (through. normal process, included in a DA to council) on an owner builder license?
So can an owner builder do much actual work themselves or are they just supervising. Say I want to build a shed for personal use that about 12 x 9 m. I buy a kit from supplier with all engineerings. I pay a concretor to do the slab. Am I allowed to do the actual construction of the shed myself since I’ve successfully got an owner builder licence. Thanks 👍
You need to complete an owner builder course OR have a valid exemption see this link: www.qbcc.qld.gov.au/your-property/owner-build/apply-owner-builder-permit
No, permit not required for less than $11,000 worth of work - see this link for more info: www.qbcc.qld.gov.au/your-property/owner-build/about-owner-building
Thank you for taking time to share this
Our pleasure, thanks for listening.
Even unskilled you will be capable of doing a better job than the builders that use polystyrene and bribe the builder inspectors.

Granny flat is a separate issue to owner builder - as it requires the DA process / working with council.
And to clarify, you cannot use owner builder for granny flats: www.qbcc.qld.gov.au/your-property/owner-build/about-owner-building
