Pretoria is the 4th biggest city in South Africa definitely not a town. Menlyn Maine is mixed development of residential, hotels, shopping and entertainment(casinos and arenas) and company offices. There are 4 Universities in Pretoria( university of Pretoria, University of South Africa, Sefako Makgatho university previously known as Medunsa which is a medical university focusing mostly on medical fields and Tshwane University of Technology). It it the administrative capital of South Africa. Many embassies of many nations are based in Pretoria, one of the highest in the world. The other 2 capitals are Bloemfontein(judicial capital) and cape town(legislative capital)that's where the parliament of South Africa is located.

He tried the driver shame but a bit misinformed or forgot his geography. He's right in that SA has 3 capitals but Joburg isn't a capital of SA but rather of Gauteng (a province in SA). Also the Free State is a province as well and not a capital city, he meant to say Bloemfontein, a judicial capital of SA located in the Free State province. The 3rd is Cape Town which is the legislative capital city. But yes, Pretoria is seen as the main capital city since it's the administrative capital where the union building, which is where the official seat of government is situated. More like the white house in Washington DC.

You are also misinforming people, the area that they were at Menlyn Maine is being developed by the PUBLIC INVESTMENT CORPORATION (PIC) which is a state owned company.

@@donaldmacdonald9993 Stop fooling yourself Donnie (can I call you Donnie?). Yes SA has a Black government since 1994, but the economic resources of the country are vastly in the hands of the white people who dictate what they want. You do not see white people living in the CBD of Joburg, Durban, Pretoria and the nice parts of Cape Town. They moved out of those areas long time ago and moved to the exquisite mostly white Sandton, East Pretoria, Umhlanga and have a firm grip on pristine Cape Town. They tell the Black government want they want and they get it. Facts, no need to troll, Never been to Australia or that other island.

@@chocon8818 You probably a west African desperate troll. You can't keep on hating us for our progress just because you are behind.
Did you even understand what is PIC? Do you know who own menlyn mall and the surrounding buildings? Largely is PIC through Pareto holdings, this are among leading developers. This whole area is not more than 20 years. The dominate race in Pretoria East is black, white then indians.
SA has large black population who had nothing 24 years ago. You likely to find us in both high and low socio economic status but however, black South Africans are the richest groups on the black nation of this continent. You can now continue with your ignorance or you can do research about who is behind the development. The white government you so ready to lick their butt failed to even give the country 60% electricity and clean water, today in 25 years, all this are above 90%. Y'all black folks who failed your own countries should stop associating excellence with race
