1997 Mercury Prop Replacement. {Rocks Are BAD!}

  • I destroyed my prop last year in shallow water while coming back into the boat launch. It was shallower than our normal launch and I didn't trim up, causing it to bottom out on the rocks and tearing up the blades. Changing out a prop on a 97 Mercury Mariner 60hp isn't hard and all you really need is a 24mm socket, a rachet, some marine grease, and of course new mercury propeller. Save some cash and weeks of waiting at the boat shop by doing it yourself!
