THATS FALSE.... ANYTHING YOU CAN SEE FROM PUBLIC PROPERTY CAN BE RECORDED.... YOU CANNOT RECORD WHILE STANDING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY EVEN AT A " PUBLIC AUCTION" IF THEY WONT ALLOW IT. THEIR PROPERTY, THEIR RULES. UNFORTUNATE... BUT ITS THE LAW.. THEU CAN ASK YOU TO NOT RECORD, THEN IF YOU DONT, YOU CAN BE ASKED TO LEAVE... THEN TRESPASSED IF YOU REFUSE...BEEN THERE....
Dustin you have a first amendment right to document in a public place even if its on a private property. The public is invited to this auction I take it? Then you have every right to record. Now, you are correct they can trespass you if they wanted, sure. But, like you stated you are a paying customer at each auction. You are simply documenting for a wider audience, which in turn could bring more customers to this auction. You are actually providing free publicity to this auction. I think you ought to let them know you have a TH-cam channel and you have over 1100 subscribers. Those subscribers are probably going to turn into auction goers. Anyway keep your head up you did not break any laws. And by the way you are not creeping people out, they are creeping themselves out. You are not responsible for other peoples feelings. Keep going my friend we love the content an your hauls from all of these auctions. God Bless.
That's what I believe to be correct to but I didn't want to make a deal of it and that was really the last straw on that auction. I feel the same way on it being free publicity for them unless there doing things they don't want people to see(like the auctioneer bidding on almost every item). Whats crazy to me is we have people constantly videoing at our pumpkin patch and I would never even think about telling someone to stop but I digress. Definitely not letting this stop the auction videos though and thank you for the kind words and God Bless you as well!
People are videos so many times a day everyday I don't know why they would be upset that you're just taking a video, maybe they don't run an honest auction, maybe you should ask them what they're hiding! But good for you on being respectful, hopefully you don't run into this crap again
Auctioneer should be reported to the State Auctioneer association, take a few of these Videos and show how he is attempting to con someone into a higher bid, Its illegal and will get his license suspended.
