Another great video Peter. You inspire me to try harder with my car photography. I have no excuses now I have a close clone of your car to practise on !
diluting years of experince into a succinct explanation for immediate results for anyone watching. great tips on the fundamentals, i'm grateful that youtube is around, and that professionals like you are willing to take the time to share your expertise. cheers peter!
great, simple tips. While I implement many of them.. you provided great context as to "why" they're good idea... thank you! Very direct, simple and clear. thank you!
Not that i’m an aspiring photographer but nonetheless you have inspired me in many ways. Our lives have certain parallels and i’ve found myself with deep regrets at some of the decisions i have made but what you have is an admirable quality, not regretting or reflecting but getting up off the floor and making something from what you do have. Hats off Peter
,,,just starting our car photography journey and we have subscribed! Your background in this photo genre is extensive with a wealth of knowledge that is truly impressive. We feel so fortunate to have 'discovered' your channel and words can't express how grateful we are that you have chosen to share from that vast wealth of shooting experiences.
Hey Peter. Great video. Very good tips and tricks. Cpl is an excellent idea. Love the boxster side shot with the road in the foreground. Very cool! Also the row of trees with the car in the middle.
Top notch tips & some really cool shots Pete! I especially love when you combine your love for landscapes with car photography!❤ Have a great rest of the week mate!
Very fine tips Peter. Thank you. In the late '90s I was working for a company in Hollywood, USA, that prepped vehicles for film and print, mostly ads. One of my first days at work they brought me the next year's non-convertable Mercedes-Benz and a reciprocating saw as they wanted a shot similar to yours at 13:35 of this video. LOL!
Great video, Peter and thanks for all the cool tips. We seem to have a few things in common; photography ticked, Boxster 981 ticked and the first thing I noticed in this video; the same Christopher Ward watch, ticked. 👍
Josh!!! I've missed you on, mate! It must be more than a year since I last saw you on TH-cam. I appreciate you dropping by on this little channel of mine. How have you been? What have you been doing?
@@peterfritzphoto you’re too kind Peter. I’ve been well. Just focusing on my family, health, and career. Typical day, wake up early, get dressed, kiss my wife, go to work, come home, ride my bike for an hour or so then do it again the next day. Date nights with Katie a few nights a week. Thanks for asking. 😀. I hope you’re doing well.
@@BayouJosh Good to hear, Josh. Relatable, too. My life is very much the same right now, with family and work dominating 95% of my time. Making videos is very much an indulgence, lately.
Thanks Peter, will give these a try. I for one am glad you made it down safely! 😊 Any tips on shooting cars at a car show, when they are parked close together?
Fun times, for sure! Car shows are really hard for three reasons: car placement, lighting, and obstructions (people). If you can figure out a way to get access with the press (before the general public), that can help with the last issue, but the rest is tough. If you can appeal to the organisers, you might also be able to see the cars as they’re delivered and set up in the venue, which usually happens a day or two before the opening. If you publish your images anywhere in the media, that certainly will help with credibility.
Could you make a video on tips how to approach corporations or how you get the gigs ? It would be very helpful! Thank you much love from Dominican republic 🇩🇴
@@2arismendy I’ve thought about this before, but it’s been quite a few years since I shot cars commercially, so the rule and methods have changed. But you raise an interesting challenge, so I’ll give this some more thought and see what I can do. Thanks for the tip. 👍
Nice work! I learned a lot of new information! You’ve probably forgotten more about car photography than I’ll ever know 😂 well done. This one’s going the distance, my friend.
Thanks, old boy. I've been doing a lot of thinking about this little channel over the last few months, and I realise I need to lean into this topic a lot more. After all, not many people on TH-cam will have photographed the iconic 80s cars when they were first launched - like the F40, R32, E34 M5, NSX, LS400, MX5, 964, SL500, RX7 Turbo, Supra, Diablo, and more. I love cars, and I love landscapes, so driving and photographing cars in the landscape will likely be my thing from here on. Except when there's no car to shoot, them I'll be very happy shooting the landscape on it's own. I'm really pleased to see you making decent headway, now. I honestly believe your channel can become one of the premiere US-based landscape photography channels over the next few years, and compete with the guys from the UK. You've definitely improved your storytelling, presenting and editing skills significantly over the last year.👍
I think auto photography is your niche. Agreed, I think you should go for that! As for my channel, I’m not sure what the future holds. I have no desires to quit, but I am scaling back my uploads for now. I should say, I’m just not overly concerned with it at the moment. Good to hear from you, buddy! I hope to see you on the trail one day.
@@ScottymanPhoto Thanks, mate. As an aside, I found my channel started doing a lot better (as did my sanity), when I started uploading less frequently - once every 2-3 weeks instead of weekly.
Could you make a video about car photography on a phone, I have got an s22 ultra and I am planning to get a canon 250d as a beginner camera for photography
Hi, I'm a 981 lover and owner in China. I'm wondering what's the power steering system's maintenance that can be done on this vehicle? Mine is electric
@@ThePistonPit 26mp on a full-frame sensor is more than enough for most things. The Canon R6 MKII is great, but Nikon and Sony offer similar spec cameras that would also be fine.

Anyway, my experience with a camera is an I phone. I feel I’d like to try something a bit more adventurous, I.e a real camera What would you recommend as a beginner camera for $500 to $750 etc if there is such a thing. Advice appreciated.
