    Hertz MPK 165.3 front doors
    Hertz MPX 165.3 back doors
    I’m gonna do a 8/10” single sub.
    So I was thinking about the Hertz HCP5D 5 channel and do it at 2 ohm. Whacha think?

    How can I wire in the Subs? Is it an Allen Key? I lost the box for this amp and wanna change my Sub. I tried using an Allen Key set and it doesn't seem to fit

    Dude, reading the manual is not really a review... (hint: you can blink some times...)

    All mono blocks should be able to be ran at 1 ohm. Main reason those arent very useful.

      I have this amp and it rocks , running it at 4 ohm load from a Dayton audio 12” sub and it pounds very hard at that load , no need to stress the amp out with a 1 ohm load. Totally unnecessary!

    • @ah4800
      @ah4800 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Journalistification 1 ohm stable amps arent exactly stressed if they're designed to run that low.

      @Journalistification ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ah4800 You could be right , but your car's electrical system its not designed for such loads on constant basis maybe at short bursts but not everyday without damaging the alternator, battery etc.. Just all around better and safer to run 4ohm loads or 2 ohm max which this hertz mono amp is capable of.

    • @ah4800
      @ah4800 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Journalistification im not sure you really know what you're talking about. Amps are a little more efficient at 4 ohms than 1 ohm but its nothing crazy drastic. You might lose 20% efficiency. Having amps that are 1ohm stable or even less just frees up wiring options. Very few amps out there make decent power at 4 ohms and if they do they are very expensive. Nothing wrong with running a sub amp at 1ohm

      @@ah4800 I guess it comes down to personal preference, my dayton audio12" dvc 8ohm sub gets plenty of loud in the cabin of my pick up truck and you can hear it outside too if i really wanted too , in my case I don't need the power this hertz amp puts out a 2 ohm even less a 1 ohm or half ohm to risk catching my ride on fire. It does seem like this isn't the brand for you , this italian brand is oriented for sq not max spl , you seem to be more into underground brands with crazy rms output levels and high ohm loads, definitely not my cup of tea.
