I was surprised by the lack of Bagels, Croissants, and English Muffins but maybe that because I'm an American. One of my favorite breakfast sandwiches is Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on a Croissants, but my favorite breakfast is a "Chef's Burrito" from a restaurant in my home town. It has scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, and American cheese in a burrito with hash browns on the side. It also comes with a side hot sauce to dip everything into.
This was amazingly funny. Though I can picture Dermot & Clisare at the same retirement home, on a porch bickering about All the bickerables. Great episode!

As someone who has progressively wanted lunch for breakfast (when I feel like eating before noon), dinner for lunch and breakfast for dinner, over the last 5 years... I'd say Dermot is spot on, they're just eating whatever at breakfast & slapping the title on it. However - any lunch "sandwich" that can have the insides put into a croissant, then baked that way (& reheated prior to eating) is miraculously reborn as an ascended breakfast 'sandwich'... ham & cheese is a revelation! 😆😂🤣

I am of the firm opinion that in order to be classified as a breakfast sandwich, there must be egg in it. So this was a great sandwiches episode (and poor Padraig finally got some trauma recovery 😂)!
This was so funny on so many levels. Laughing out loud in my LR, and freaking out the cats at the same time. As always Dermot and Clisare are a perfect pairing. I was rolling watching her deconstruct the sandwiches, playing with the ingredients. At the end, her niggling at Dermot was so perfect, esp since he did not catch what she was doing. Dermot seems pretty high maintenance--talk about splitting hairs--burrito versus sandwhich? And yes, pizza from the night before is breakfast too. There is also breakfast pizza--maybe another TRY video? We all know how much Dermot adores pizza. Padraid and Daragh really stole the show--IMO. Here in the Buffalo, NY area, we have a breakfast pizza. comprised of: Yeasty, slightly chewy crust topped with clumps of scrambled egg, crisp bacon, plus clumps of pork sausage topped with just enough cheddar, and mozzarella. I'm getting hungry now, ha ha.

I was going to comment this. Coming from a Mexican-American family they are the ultimate to go and comfort food. My grandma would pack them for us when we would go to the beach or to Disneyland or even just for breakfast. Perfect with crispy bacon or any meat of your choice. :)

I ordered a club sandwich in Amsterdam one time. I was a little surprised when it came with a fried egg on it and remarked that it was fine but something I wasn't used to. Turns out the Dutch throw a fried egg on/in lots of stuff.

When i was 17 I worked in a kitchen for the summer and the head cook said the most profound thing to me. She said," If they enjoy being vegetarian, why do they try to make all their food taste like meat?"
Because they're not vegetarian because they wake up one day and hate the taste of meat, perhaps?? They're vegetarian or vegan for ethical reasons and don't want to eat the dead flesh of sentient beings because they believe it's wrong. That doesn't automatically mean they suddenly hate the taste. If they can have the taste and not kill animals then let them be and don't act like it's weird. They're quite literally not doing anyone any harm. Also plenty of vegetarians and vegans don't enjoy meat substitutes and prefer vegetable dishes. People can eat whatever they enjoy.

Tex Mex Breakfast Burritos contain almost ALL of a Full English Breafast wrapped up in a warm [but not toasted] tortilla. Sausage, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, cheese, refried beans [pinto bean hummus], crispy fried potatoes on the side- or in the burrito, tomato salsa on the side. You can add guacamole and soft corn tortilla, also. The only things missing are the mushrooms and blood pudding. The ingredients are served on a plate and you add what you want to the warmed tortilla at the table. Pan toasting the tortilla with the stuff inside is called a chimichanga in Cali Mex foods.

This was so funny on so many levels. Laughing out loud in my LR, and freaking out the cats at the same time. As always Dermot and Clisare are a perfect pairing. I was rolling watching her deconstruct the sandwiches, playing with the ingredients. At the end, her niggling at Dermot was so perfect, esp since he did not catch what she was doing. Dermot seems pretty high maintenance--talk about splitting hairs--burrito versus sandwhich? And yes, pizza from the night before is breakfast too. There is also breakfast pizza--maybe another TRY video? We all know how much Dermot adores pizza.
Padraid and Daragh really stole the show--IMO. John and Tom--really laughed hard when Tom said maybe he just liked bread. Cudos to John for being open to new foods. Really, beetroot combo for breakfast? I know I would only eat that kind of thing if I had not yet had my 1st cup of coffee after a night of little sleep. UGH.

Here in the Buffalo, NY area, we have a breakfast pizza. comprised of: Yeasty, slightly chewy crust topped with clumps of scrambled egg, crisp bacon, plus clumps of pork sausage topped with just enough cheddar, and mozzarella. I'm getting hungry now, ha ha.
I'm fairly new to this channel, less than a month being a subscriber, and Dermot is by far my favourite tryer, his reactions to everything I've watched, his comments and the faces he makes really cracks me up, I miss him when there are video's without him

I was going to comment this. Coming from a Mexican-American family they are the ultimate to go and comfort food. My grandma would pack them for us when we would go to the beach or to Disneyland or even just for breakfast. Perfect with crispy bacon or any meat of your choice. :)

I ordered a club sandwich in Amsterdam one time. I was a little surprised when it came with a fried egg on it and remarked that it was fine but something I wasn't used to. Turns out the Dutch throw a fried egg on/in lots of stuff.

Crust, white gravy, cheese, breakfast sausage bits, bacon, bits of potato, spinach, and sometimes a cracked egg on top! So amazing! They make these at the local farmers market where I live and it’s wild delicious!!!

When i was 17 I worked in a kitchen for the summer and the head cook said the most profound thing to me. She said," If they enjoy being vegetarian, why do they try to make all their food taste like meat?"
Because they're not vegetarian because they wake up one day and hate the taste of meat, perhaps?? They're vegetarian or vegan for ethical reasons and don't want to eat the dead flesh of sentient beings because they believe it's wrong. That doesn't automatically mean they suddenly hate the taste. If they can have the taste and not kill animals then let them be and don't act like it's weird. They're quite literally not doing anyone any harm. Also plenty of vegetarians and vegans don't enjoy meat substitutes and prefer vegetable dishes. People can eat whatever they enjoy.

Tex Mex Breakfast Burritos contain almost ALL of a Full English Breafast wrapped up in a warm [but not toasted] tortilla. Sausage, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, cheese, refried beans [pinto bean hummus], crispy fried potatoes on the side- or in the burrito, tomato salsa on the side. You can add guacamole and soft corn tortilla, also. The only things missing are the mushrooms and blood pudding.
The ingredients are served on a plate and you add what you want to the warmed tortilla at the table.
Pan toasting the tortilla with the stuff inside is called a chimichanga in Cali Mex foods.
