With the pandemic and the schools closed the musk grow. With kids everyday they don't grow that much, being run over and such. The pandemic closed and give them the perfect environment to spread. With years without proper cleaning was the perfect storm. See that in my local school.

I mean it’s no different than children playing in a muddy field 😂 as a teacher I don’t think people understand how underfunded schools are and the children’s learning will always be our top priority!

It would have been closed for most of 2020!
@@xmaspast not necessarily has key workers children and vulnerable children was still going to school so most schools have still been open just for a small number of children. Also the majority of schools closed still had the school maintenance guy visiting. In the video he says the maintenance guy tried to clean it but couldn't so they rang these guys to help. The school should arrange regular visits with these guys so it doesnt get this bad again they did a great job.
It ain't that bad try going to a school were some of the gym equipment hasn't been changed since ur parents went there lol that's the way it is in some schools in the U.S.
Unfortunately, if it were a small school, they probably don't have a big budget and I could imagine playground maintenance was often a very low priority, spending money towards learning supplies and support, staff wages, trips, technology upgrades (which is expensive!) plus loads more. Yes, it should have been done sooner but sometimes Its not always possible. It’s possible they have been able to shift the budget around due to students learning more online this year that they were finally able to get the boys in to clean or received a grant to help towards its maintenance. 😊
impressive.. I am showing this to a church leader who now has a grotty child's play area with the same flooring.. His helper can't do much these days, just the trick. Fab job Guys !!! and TY

Lots of places only do reactive maintenance for things like this it’s pretty sad
Surely this should be part of their maintenance programme? Neglected. Makes you wonder what the children's toys are like, or the indoor soft play area is like etc.

I work 3 jobs, and one of them was just my part-time whilst the covid, cleaning dirty surfaces with a pressure jet... I can't agree more, it's really satisfying and pays more too!
It’s a fun job but it can get a bit tedious after a while but the results are worth it!

Looking at the before and after, the question that springs to mind is, how could the school, and that means the Head, allow that area get so bad?
I think it was a gradual thing that they didn’t notice lol, the caretaker had a go a few times trying to take the moss out 😆 but gave up so they called me in. It’s a lovely school though, rest of it is immaculate
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning. Thanks for your thoughts, I suspect it’s also to do with allocation of funding. When the LEA approved the installation of the floor coverings they paid no attention to the maintenance. Many local schools suffer from the planners whims. At least you were able to restore it to a very acceptable level!
And to think I allow my kits to play in the dirt, dig around in the sandbox, and drink from a hose, when they could be treated like royalty like this! Great job, you two need to bag a Crown Royal! 👑 💜 💰

Have you considered spraying the area after cleaning with household vinegar from supermarket. An organic alternative for sensitive areas like childcare and schools. It is antifungal antibactetial and does kill moss.
Afew people have mentioned that recently, i think ill start offering it instead, thank you!

Nice results, I really do encourage you to look up soft washing with chemicals and a surface cleaner when you have the time! Game chargers for me when I was pressure washing for a living.

At least it's a brighter color, but it's still a very sad playground 🙈 Can't imagine having much fun there as a kid. I do hope there's a bigger and better playground near the school for the kids to run around.
There’s usually more stuff in it it was just moved out for me :D it’s also about 20 of the school play area :D only bit that was soft play though !

Great video and clean Sid, The Wilks & power devil pressure washers last a lifetime providing they are broken in correctly with a 20hr oil change and regular oil changes. I had one for 5 years and it worked faultlessly then my mate brought it and it still works like new. Preventative maintenance will make anything last. Keep up the great work mate 👌

Too true, mine was popping like mad last week, changed the oil and cleaned the air filter and now it purrs like a tiger getting his bollocks tickled. It's really not a bad machine, it paid for itself and then some on my first job....👍👍👍
