You can only do as good as what you're given to work with. Given the state that was allowed to get to, you worked wonders. It's likely that any court left to rot as long as that one is going to need a repaint anyway. At least you've made the painter's job much easier.
Bad company which should be avoided at all costs. They got fined last year for sharing private medical histories in adverts and otherwise causing issues to customers. You aren't guaranteed a professional with any mental health training (you may however get a crystal healer or other snake oil salesperson) and the weekly and monthly subscriptions are really hard to cancel and people have been charged extra for services they never received.
I like your channel, watched it a lot. I understand the need for sponsors, and money is hard in this economy. But please look into better help. They do real harm to people.
I sincerely hope you get better sponsorships in the future. Better help, at least where I am has gotten into trouble and is generally considered to be a pretty bad company especially given what they say they do/ how qualified they are vs the reality of it. Many TH-camrs have opted to cut ties and some have apologised for having not done due diligence into them prior. Obviously at the end of the day a sponsorship is a sponsorship and absolutely not dissing that but, you deserve better sponsors than Better Help.
I unsubscibed from 2 channels recently because of them repeatedly being sponsored by Better Help. I don't mind sponsorship for products I would never use, but I can't support a channel that's ignoring the bad headlines Better Help got a couple of months back. For people with mental health problems in therapy, it's crucial to be in a professional's hands, to feel safe and well cared for. Better Help can't offer that, plus they will sell the data of the patients. This is hitting rock bottom of profit maximising and also shitting on the patient's they allegedly offer "help", BH should be boycotted by anyone.
Cinema Therapy got flak for sponsoring BetterHelp, so they took some time (or at least Jono did) and did their research on the accusations and what actually happened, they made a reddit post about it and if you go to their TH-cam page and go to the community tab you'll see a link to the reddit post explaining the findings
I don’t think the last guy who cleaned this before was thinking of screwing you over when they cleaned it. If anything, they screwed over the tennis court owner. Speak life into your work. I like your work the way it is and don’t be a downer on your projects. You’re a great professional at what you do. Keep up the great work. Be your best cheerleader.
I agree. That court turned out great. Don't be so hard on yourself. Perfection is something you strive for. Not every job will be perfect because of prior people's jobs. You just do the best you can, KNOW you did your best, then be happy about it.
You gave it your best man don’t get down on yourself. It needs to be painted and the last guy who cleaned it definitely screwed you over. You always do great work man keep it up and I hope you hit your goals!!
Followed you for a long time. I have suffered with mental health issues and got the support and help to become a window cleaner to get of benefits a few years ago. You have given me the inspiration to start my own you tube channel so people can follow my journey. You are a positive influence to have.
The before and after is 🤯. You did an absolutely amazing job that has put you one step closer to your goal. No more negative waffling because I'm positive your an awesome person. 😊 And that goes fir everyone reading this. Sending many happy and positive vibes from across the pond in New Mexico, USA
You did a fantastic job as always Sid. I think you're a bit harsh on yourself about this job, if you cleaned a dirty car and found a load of scratches under it thats not your fault. Itt look brilliant and youve worked really hard. Pat yourself of the back as a job well done and on to the next one! 🎉 you got this Sid 👍🏻 x
Hi been following you for a few years now and have always been impressed by your work ethics . This recent revelation about your mental health issues has not come as a surprise. I wish you all the best in obtaining your dreams but feel you are putting to much on your plate , and this could be a contributing to your anxiety problems . Lower your goals and enjoy the experience of having a successful business and a lovely family. All power to you
Pretty work you are renewing there. The tennis court was in disaster shape, so your knowledgeable best will do a lot to revive it. At 11:00, after you have already scraped off moss, blown off debris, begun power washing and moss muck removal.. we now have a Grime Line appearing, as you rinse half the area off. The "line" is the tennis net. That is one big improvement already. Color renewal, clean play lines. The biocide over a period of time will do a great job further. Grime Line comparison shows again at 12:07. Can't fault the improvement at all. 14:00 has a rather spectacular amount of moss muck being worked out of the surface and ready for pickup. A beautiful view of improvement at 15:23. (Wow, you double-sprayed biocide.) That was a lot of hard work. It still is an excellent improvement. You and Connor did well. If I understand this, as cleaned tarmac it can now be repainted, which will make it renovated to "Brand New".
@@juliakennstenich9591 They are supposed to be a therapy platform where people can get in touch with a therapist from their own home, but the company is horrible and shouldnt be trusted.
Good job Sid, the homeowner bears some responsibility for letting their court get so bad and then they want you to perform a miracle!! Go back when it’s redone! Then maybe the owner will keep hiring you every year to keep it up! Good luck on your journey to a million
Sid Ive been following you for a long time and I love your attitude and professionalism. Its a pity Im in the US because Id love to work for you. Keep your head up and keep doing your best. Your goals arent that far off!
Sid you gave it your best. This tennis court was previously cleaned and done a poor job of. All you can do is keep moving forward. Towards your goals and objective. Great job as always Sid! ❤
Great job on a court that has been neglected and treated poorly. Even though no perfect, it is clean and usable and ready for it's update. Fingers crossed you get a court that is merely filthy soon so you have the picture perfect before/after shots. Still think the before/after shots for this one are amazing. Hopefully the biocide lightens up those lines. It was fun to see you with the helper scraping the muck while you kept on with the surface cleaner. thanks for sharing your work. Till the next, take care
Hey Sid, you're a perfectionist, and there's nothing worse than feeling that something didn't turn out perfectly. I know, cos I'm one too. I have had to learn that sometimes a job done to the best of MY ability is good enough. So, you know that the tennis court surface was screwed up by both neglect and, worse, the previous cleaning contractor, which means that you got it as good as it was ever going to be. You did GOOD, Sid! You have to do what I did, and that's continually telling yourself that you did YOUR best, and that no one could have done better. KEEP saying it, EVERY TIME you find yourself criticising yourself and/or your work, and eventually, it will stick most of the time. Trust me, it does work. Good luck, you deserve it!
Yeah, especially since he's interested in being a freelancer and made his goals clear, it's important to know the difference between self reflection and improvement vs pandering as many potential customers can see too much self negativity as a turn off due to at best lack of confidence and at worst, potential pulling the wool over people's eyes (e.g. only showing us the best jobs with a particularly cut time frame). It's important to always do your best, especially for a paid job and expecially if the goal is to make it big in the industry. If you're confident and you put that zeal and energy into your work, people will naturally respect your efforts and you'll see a lot more business, like the PoolGuy who never complained about the work he had to do (beyond mumbling that it was going to be a bigger job than expected sometimes) and the end results always spoke for themselves. But yeah, I don't mean for my comment to be "tough love", but perfectionism can be mistaken for elitism, e.g. "If you have the time to point out all your flaws and mistakes, why didn't you fix it in the first place?" Keep all criticisms constructive and know what your limitations are, then figure out ways to minimize the blemishes and keep improving in a timely and cost efficient manner, make cost/benefit analysis charts, and above all, NEVER give the customer the impression that you CAN'T do the work. Even saying "I suffer from depression" will get sympathy, but lose confidence cause you're basically telling them "There's a chance I'll be too sick to get the job done and you're paying for me to just stand there moping." I've been in the same boat so I'm speaking from experience, it's tough for all of us, but long as you can keep walking towards you're dream, you're not out of the game, so there's no reason to let your depression hold you back...unless you don't want to do this. Never give that impression. Stay strong.
Sid you have done the best you can with what you are working with, please don't be so down on yourself. As you have said there has been alot of damage done long before you got there. Keep up the great work and more frequent videos would be great!
Great work Sid as always mate. Keep the pressure on the pavers and roofs - not on yourself, you'll get there and no matter what you earn, your family will be proud of you I'm sure 🥰
Great job guys! You got it as good as it was gonna get and made the customer happy. For TH-cam a good before and after would have been a bonus but you can walk away proud from that job. Everyone obviously grafted hard.
Nice job. They might have bothered to take the net down for you. I'd paint the concrete walls 'Invisible Green' for the Wimbledon look (you're welcome, owners.).
I enjoy watching your vids. You seem very committed to your business and serving your customers. After a couple of years watching I notice your need for organizing ( jobs and work vans ) maintenance of equipment and time management. These areas definitely add to your stress level. Hope for progress toward your goal of a house for you and family. GA, USA
Excellent works as always! Love watching your transformations! Keep it up and that million will arrive sooner than you think!! Rock on, Sid! Catch you in your next video.
Nobody does it better than you Sid. Your knowledge is second to none and workmanship is always 1st class. I understand your frustration that this job did not meet your standards but that was not down to you. It's 200 times better than before. Please don't feel bad about it. Go and have some family time now with the kids and your missus. See you in the next one.
Never be down on yourself you do a great job. You’re working very hard to support your family and buy them home. Keep up the beautiful work you do and the hard work you do. God bless you God always look out.😊
You did a great job. You can't change what's already been done. This tennis court needs repainting, but it's not your mistake to have the different areas as you've shown
I thought about something while watching you with the shovel and the thick moss. i watched a lawn guy video where he had this attachment that fit into his trimmer that has a brush on the end like you see on street sweepers. When he powered up the trimmer it literally cut through the dirt and grass build up on the street. You should look into it.
Im pretty sure he has a full machine like this for that similar to the surface cleaner, but if I recall correctly, he said its hard to use in a lot of situations.
I tell ya one thing, when they are having a great tennis game on a sunny day because the court is not in a mess, they wont be analyzing the surface look..... great job for what you had to start with 👍
Big job ... Great results ... keep up your high standards of work! I came to watch your videos to see how you guys in the UK deal with moss in between brick pavers. A suggestion for you to expedite the work significantly. On the composite decking, pick up a low-pressure electric pressure washing surface cleaning disk ( ~ 14" diam) and drop the throttle on the pressure washer. No way should you be wasting so much time using the wand and potentially creating tiger stripes - your father could have had it completed in a 1/4 the time. Of course, continue to use the rotating motion to avoid any lines
Your paid sponsorship might be more appropriate than you think. I suspect that a great many people are here for their mental health. It's what I watch for. You, even with your own anxiety and stress, are providing something soothing for others in the same situation. They watch you bring order out of chaos, rehabilitating the hopeless. It is very comforting.
Better health is a terrible company, they actually sell your personal information to Facebook, so Facebook can give you ads towards things you may need. They also hire therapists without the appropriate credentials.
Better Help isn't a good company for mental health treatment. They're getting into trouble because of their staff not being qualified to counsel patients.
Good job that was unrecognisable and hats off to you for carrying on not the result you wanted but you all worked hard on that 1 so well done great video 😊👍
Dear Sid: Don't blame yourself for the bad job someone else has done. You and your Dad, did a great job, on this Tennis Court. I hope that owner will be happy with the results. Have a restful weekend.
Sid...if you're working with Better Health, then you really ought to know better than to beat the tar out of yourself, just because a job didn't _quite_ measure up to the impossible standards you set for yourself. Just because a job didn't come out PERFECT doesn't mean you did a bad job; that tennis court looks a few _thousand_ percent better than it did before you started working on it! Instead of beating yourself up for not getting something perfect, please try allowing yourself to feel happy about, and take pride in, how much you DID accomplish...because you did a really great job here, man. You're allowed to be happy, and you're allowed to feel pride in yourself and in your work. Please do so~
And explained what was done to cause the issues so others won't make the mistakes that were made to that court. Lovely job of explaining what went wrong on the prior cleaning.
They aren't even proper therapists. Better Help is a terrible company who shared people's private medical information in adverts without their consent. They were forced to pay fines of 7.8 million dollars for that. Just last year. And you are just as likely to be given a crystal healer or someone selling snake oil (homeopathy) instead of actual trained psychiatrists and psychologists. Not good therapy at all. And its really hard to cancel, they've charged people for services they never provided. Absolute shit show of a company.
I don't know the first thing about this sort of job, but could you get a powered sweeper/vacuum machine to agitate the surface and suck it up as you go? Typing "power brush" into google is sorta what I had in mind
You are honest and genuine when talking about MH, you come through true. You have my respect for showing how one can be both young (well - ish, then 😉), successful, hard working, a parent, a partner and still struggle. We all need help. You set an example for many. Men need to see how we all can be many things at the same time. Both the ones giving strength to others - and at the same time the ones being supported by other's strength.
Hi Sid, You always give it a 100% and go above and beyond! Can I ask what do you do with the buckets of wet dirty mud and moss that comes off whilst cleaning driveways & patios? Just curious of the best way to dispose of it. Thanks
Completely support metal help and better metal health for all!! Unfortunately 'Better Help' are an awful company who have paid millions in fines for selling its users personal data to private companies to target ads asking deeply personal questions of its users and selling the data. Sorry to write this! You make amazing videos and deserve a million pound company! Keep it going, metla health really does effect us all and you are showing the organic process. Great job
Sid you always do your very best. Now take that and add the fact that the court was not at it's best. So you did the best you possibly could. I am patting you on the back for a job very well done.
Dont be too down mate it looks 100% better than it did i know you are a perfectionist Sid but some things wont go back to hiw they looked when new yiu have done well to get to this state in ny opinion well done xxx
Hey bud, ive done a few tennis courts that are far worse than this and my suggestion is you rent a rug agitator machine and use after applying 4% SH to agitate the algae or growth. Only then pressure wash. Or use the surface cleaner at a very low mode.
This is straight up neglect on the owner's part and before you say anything I just wanted to say they (owners) didn't even remove the net during the cleaning process. I also do this kind of work and a lot of people don't realize how much work goes into cleaning and maintaining properties. If they can afford to have a Tennis court in their yard, they can afford to maintain it properly.
i had to do a court like that over 20 years ago with a normal jet wash on my own took a week lol had to do it for minimum wage too working for a school lol one of them blue hobby pressure washers, rained all week too!
I think it turned out great. I kinda like the uneven look. I don't like uniform colors myself. Of course, if it means the ball bounces in random directions that could be a problem, but since it is not your doing then no sweat off your back! At least now the owner of the court can actually see the damaged areas!
Great work as usual Sid! Just wondering if a carpet cleaner/vac would help here to lift that moss out of the rubber? I have no knowledge of this type of work just an idea 😊
I have found the best tool to clean a tennis court is a Stihl rotary brush attachment. About £250 I think from memory but it gets all the moss off into a pile for removal and causes no damage at all. Obviously you need the main Stihl tool to attach it to but well worth the investment. Takes me about half a day every Spring.
@@diegofondoo1780 thank you for the explanation. I am from Belgium, so I didn't really know which English verb to use in this case. Have an excellent day 🙂
The energy you put out is the energy you attract sometimes by being focused on the enjoyment of our work rather than the money it gives us peace .effectively going with the flow 😌 being happy is worth more than making a million
I had a bad day this week to Sid had to valet an old convertible with a fabric roof covered in moss it's safe to say I'll never do a convertible that's been left for 12 months under a tree again 😦

I actually thought it was Astroturf 😂 anyway, great job Sid and your Dad. Miles better than before.
I enjoyed this clean up! You did a great job!
@@slc1161 I hadn't heard that, but it wouldn't surprise me a great deal if true. There's so much demand these days as well.
At least you could see which parts you had already cleaned as you went along! Great job.
Yet another great video! Thanks for the uploads Sid
Wow fantastic job 💯👍, the work you do is impressive
Those clouds are so picture perfect..and also the trees along them..😍
Good job that was unrecognisable and hats off to you for carrying on not the result you wanted but you all worked hard on that 1 so well done great video 😊👍
I’d look into getting a power broom. It would have made quick work of that moss.
Don’t beat yourself up mate , you got it to look the best it can be ,great work 👍
Dear Sid: Don't blame yourself for the bad job someone else has done. You and your Dad, did a great job, on this Tennis Court. I hope that owner will be happy with the results. Have a restful weekend.
Great job Sid
Looks great Sid! Have a good weekend!
Very good job Sid and don’t eat yourself up. Appreciate the mental health video!
I've really missed watching your videos! Glad to see this one today.
Oh wow you have done amazing on the tennis court considering how awful it was and not looked after ! you should be proud of the hard work you do ☺️
I would be great to get some pictures after they repaint to see how well it turns out.
Fantastic work Sid🥳
Hi Sid,
You always give it a 100% and go above and beyond!
Can I ask what do you do with the buckets of wet dirty mud and moss that comes off whilst cleaning driveways & patios? Just curious of the best way to dispose of it.
Thanks
That's probably why the last contractor didn't get the job again.
It looks lovely - well done. ( Aim high. I would always aim for high profit however as turnover is not profit....)
Great job
I can't say it looks fantastic, but it looks loads better than when you started! Cheers!
Looks amazing! A vast improvement… Well done… 🙌😍
Sid you always do your very best. Now take that and add the fact that the court was not at it's best. So you did the best you possibly could. I am patting you on the back for a job very well done.
Really good job. Really nice to watch. More please.
It's a dramatic improvement!! I'd be very proud of that job! 😊
Not quite as bad as that one with the waist high weeds/small trees and a trailer on it! Looks heaps better and ready for a repaint, so job done!
Seen you guys on a roof clean down Morley road the other day 👍
This is straight up neglect on the owner's part and before you say anything I just wanted to say they (owners) didn't even remove the net during the cleaning process. I also do this kind of work and a lot of people don't realize how much work goes into cleaning and maintaining properties. If they can afford to have a Tennis court in their yard, they can afford to maintain it properly.
Looks a lot better. Nice job.
Great job there considering on what you had to deal with 🙂
i had to do a court like that over 20 years ago with a normal jet wash on my own took a week lol had to do it for minimum wage too working for a school lol one of them blue hobby pressure washers, rained all week too!
slacker
I think it turned out great. I kinda like the uneven look. I don't like uniform colors myself. Of course, if it means the ball bounces in random directions that could be a problem, but since it is not your doing then no sweat off your back! At least now the owner of the court can actually see the damaged areas!
Mate, you need a broom attachment for a string trimmer.
Great work as usual Sid! Just wondering if a carpet cleaner/vac would help here to lift that moss out of the rubber? I have no knowledge of this type of work just an idea 😊
Is all I will say Sid is:
"Turnover is for vanity, Profit is for sanity"
Brilliant video Sid.
Great job as always - it's a shame they didn't get those block walls pressure washed too!
I was wondering if it would have been helpfull/quicker if the second person would have been hovering up the water, behind you cleaning the surface ?
@@diegofondoo1780 thank you for the explanation. I am from Belgium, so I didn't really know which English verb to use in this case. Have an excellent day 🙂
The energy you put out is the energy you attract sometimes by being focused on the enjoyment of our work rather than the money it gives us peace .effectively going with the flow 😌 being happy is worth more than making a million
Ive not watched it yet but listen😊 youve got this😃👍 The other 1 turned out brilliant so this will be wee buns eh 😅👍
4;17 hes a quick worker aint he lmao
And dude that court looked tons better
stop beating yaself up
you can actually play on now you cleaned it
Top job
I had a bad day this week to Sid had to valet an old convertible with a fabric roof covered in moss it's safe to say I'll never do a convertible that's been left for 12 months under a tree again 😦
