    The W211 is the best car Mercedes Benz has ever built and the M113 is a real killer machine. There is no question that this engine made history. Mine is a 2002 model and still running like hell. Thumbs up 👍🏻

    Nice vid, but feel like you missed out on the fuel issues with the fuel tank and fuel sending unit.
    Easy to know if it’s an issue when test driving the car. Look out for fuel smell, especially near the driver side rear wheel

      Completely forgot about that one. I know Mercedes had a recall out for the tank and pump.

    Liqui Moly Top Tech 1600 was developed specifically for the 722.6. It works great.

    I’ve also heard and sure you have to. Cylinder 8 and 7 fuel starvation. I believe why this happens is Bc the entry of fuel is right next to cylinder 8 and 7 and since the pressure is so high where the fuel enters the rail, it becomes restricted and it doesn’t have good flow. It’s like squeezing (restricting) a water hose at one end there’s not gonna be a good flow of water there until it gets going down the other end of the hose. (All other cylinders) this why the m113k in the SLR McLaren doesn’t have this issue Bc the rail is looped and has constant flow

      Yes I have also heard of that but I forgot to mention it because mine has upgraded injectors and the rail has already been looped.

    Have a CLS55 and had to do one front AirMatic ($1200CDN @ a shop) and the compressor ($120 @ Rock Auto) because the rear wasn't lifting. Strangely, MB Canada only sold a reman'd compressor for $750. If you want to switch to coil-overs, you'll need the rear control arms from a non-AirMatic (new about $450USD) plus whichever kit you buy. I haven't done it yet, but seriously considering it if another strut goes. lol Also had the ABC pump go not long after buying. MB Canada wouldn't pay as it was an American car. A bit of a gamble as I had to pay $4200 upfront and then claim it through a US Dealer and hope MB USA didn't deny the claim. Worked out eventually, no issues, just took a few weeks to process all the paperwork (actually lost a bit on currency conversion, but better than $4200). Local dealership first quoted about a week and $4200 but turns out they had the part on the shelf and got it back in two days. I guess what I'm getting at is that it's not a cheap car to maintain or repair and to expect problems, sometimes expensive problems. But it's a fun car with a ton of power with a lot more to be had for a (relative) small amount money. Now that mine in mechanically sorted (mostly), this is the year that I start the 'improvements'. :)

      The CLS doesn't have an ABC pump, do you mean an SBC pump ?

      @@ahemgee9542 Yeah, sorry.. too many TLA's (Three Letter Acronyms) in that car.

      I love it man! I’ve never driven one of these cars with the coil over conversion but I assume it’s a harsher ride than the airmatic. When the suspension works it’s great!

    • @Orbserver
      @Orbserver 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@evogt8702 I haven't done it, and don't really want to. I heard the same... that the ride gets really harsh... though not sure how much you can change it.

    Bruh is your car cross-eyed? Front left headlight looks misaligned

    • @evogt8702
      @evogt8702  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The left headlight I got screwed on eBay, the alignment spring is broken and it stays cooked at the ground. New lights will be put on when the car is back in running shape. It’s underivable at night

    If I get a e55 with 100k miles would it just be smart to get the sbc pump replaced as soon as I get it

    • @evogt8702
