Nice video. Informative and enjoyable. Well done to both of you. That looks a great rod, and seemed to handle all the fish, and seaweed with ease. (Or was that your great skills. 🤔). Thanks for sharing, take care and stay safe.😷🙊
@@thegamblingangler going out tonight, so I will be enjoying it tomorrow. Looking forward to learning some great tips and no doubt I will have a question. Quick one if you don’t mind. My Polaroids broke last weekend and I’m desperate to get a reasonable pair of wrap arounds. Knowing your job, could you recommend a good pair?
@@christravis3270 I’ve been using these for the last four months, no complaints at all. I’ve found that with cheaper options they just break, one way or another. But I can’t justify the expense of Costa’s! These are a great compromise- www.veals.co.uk/acatalog/Fortis-Vista-Sunglasses-2148.html#SID=50
@@thegamblingangler yeah looked at these before and have decided to take a punt on your recommendation. I’d better be getting an invite to the office Christmas party now 😉
Another great video Jansen! Quick question, the gray grip tape you use on your bigger rods, do you know the name/brand of it? It’s a nightmare to find!
Really enjoyed that, many thanks for all you hard work, just a question about rods if I may, is the bass pro close to the afaw remastered match 13ft 4in as I fish those at the moment may thanks
Great video, shame the weather isn't as wild where I live. 30 degree and hardly no wind at all 😣 Just a quick question regarding the bass at the beginning. You lifter him/her up via the gill plates, I was told not to do that as they're really sharp. Is that the case or am I being a bit too cautious haha.
If I was specifically targeting big bass I would use a Pennel rig with 6/0 hooks and use a big mackerel or squid bait, or a 6/0 circle hook with a live bait. But much depends on where you’re fishing🙂
Thanks Fred. It’s been a while since I’ve been asked. So- every time we fish, it’s a gamble. We can fish the best venue with good bait at a decent time of year and still, the fish can evade us. Equally, the conditions and tide might be poor and the odds are against us, but there is still the chance of making a good catch. Hence the name!🙂🎣
@@thegamblingangler Indeed Jansen. I finally caught my ultimate goal fish this year after at least 100 sessions over many years. Odds of 100/1 aren’t great but it was worth it.
I absolutely love your vids! I’ve learnt a lot watching them and they have certainly inspired me to do more sea fishing. Thank you
Thank you Tomos, I love it when my stuff inspires people to get out and do some fishing!🙂
Brilliant videos. I like to wait for him to say in all his videos “ I think it’s weed” before pulling out a fish. 😂
I like your long distance casting style, the gambling angler 👍
Came here from the Fish Locker, hello 👋
Great to see you here!🙂
Ladye Bay first ledge had a sole of 3lb 6oz... while fishing for cod took a 4/0 triple rag n squid.
New sub here, off the back of the fish locker film you did
Great to have you here!
Brillant vid mate. You've just given me an idea for Scotland 😊👍👍
Sounds interesting! Thanks Lee🙂
Another great video and very enjoyable watch Jansen👍
Cheers mate🙂
Nice video, excellent conditions for bass, here best bass bait is mullet fillets, far best than crabs, worms and cattle fish
Was a bit blowy! Cracking video Jansen! Looked very Bassy.
Cheers Jon, see you in a couple of weeks!🙂
Really good video Jansen….good production and top content.
Thanks Mike, it’s always fun knocking these together, nice that they’re appreciated🙂
Another great video mate 👍
Thanks Ian!🙂🎣

Really nice video mate enjoyed watching it and gave you a sub 👍
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the watch!🙂🎣
Awesome, just what I need to get this weekend off to a brilliant start. Nice one Jansen 👍🏻

Quality video Jansen. Some brilliant fishing channels out there, but you’re still the best watch in my opinion. Keep it up 👍🏻
Another great video Jansen!

Super video (as always), really informative, dramatic and a joy to watch. Can I ask what rigs were in use? Look forward to your next adventure!
Thank you Bill! As is often the case, rigs were just the good old pulley🙂🎣
Great video 👍I'm looking at getting the wife a spinning rod and reel she fancies giving it a go could you recommend one 👍👍

No, not really Nigel. The Bass PRO is very different. Slimmer, softer and tippier🙂

Hi Richard, with experience you can lift a fish this way and avoid the gill plate, but definitely go careful as the outer edge is extremely sharp🙂🎣
@@thegamblingangler Yes think I'll stick with lifting them out with my thumb in their mouth. Thanks for the reply.
Nice video! What camera are you using to film? Thanks
The good old Go Pro🙂
Great video would you change rigs or bait to target a double figure bass or still used same tactics?
Many thanks Luke 🎣🎣👍

Great work yet again Jansen. Is there any meaning behind calling yourself the ‘Gambling’ angler?
Thanks Fred. It’s been a while since I’ve been asked.
