Hi my my name is Kevin from Aus the drill you made is a slot drill with a drill centre on it so the drill will enter it self the od of the drill Will drill the hole to a correct size you can drill the hole in the mill with not changing any cutter l have used the same methods as you have it worked well Kevin mechanical engineer of 56 years .
Only problem is that this geometry will last a few holes in steel and then you need to resharpen it. Those tiny tips aren't supported by much more than a hope. You've come up with a solution to a problem which doesn't exist, because what you really want to use is a step drill. They are cheap, readily available and (from personal experience) can be abused a lot more than you'd expect. In cases when a step drill won't work because there's no space underneath a hole (say 20mm hole in 25mm square profile where you have 30mm of drill sticking out beyond the 20mm level), you can chop off as much of the tip as you need. There are also regular steel drills with a solid centering shaft in the middle instead of a cutting point. They are made for countersinking the holes of socket head screws, but do require you to pre-drill the center hole.
Thank you for your tip, I'm interested in learning your technique and I agree with you that it drills a more perfect round hole. Please show me your technique and thank you in advance. I appreciate your knowledge and will use it to increase my skills, thank you
Excellent job, even with the AI glitch's, thank you for taking the time to bringing this information to us in english, with out it I would never have learned something new, ignore the trolls this content wasn't for them anyways. :)
@@made-by-dad the translation ia not natural at all and sometimes quite bad tbh. Also it doesnt sound normal. Its a bit unnerving 😅 i think captions are still better
And you created the Woodowl OverDrive drill bit...it just has an added chamfered edge on the outer tip of the drill bit...important for the exit hole when drilling wood.
Well, es scheint a bit tricky to grind, clearly a kind of hole drill, almost like a Forstner. To those who say something negative, I say;" well, it's one way of getting a good result from a bad drill"... Funktioniert?
Looks like a wood drill with slightly shallower angles. Cool stuff!
Thx

WTF, 0:50 and every time you take the drillbit in front of you face the is a glitch in the matrix, why?

@@made-by-dad pls deactivate this bullshit Ai Translation .. we as Users can not preset to original, but you as creater can preset to never use it
I think he's used software, AI maybe, to do the translation and it has edited his mouth movements to match the voice more accurately

This guy is a Ai bot .......the talking and words are funky and the bit melts into his face
That's exactly what I thought. Its a robot no doubt. No human talks like this
It’s AI translation

But the mouth matched the English words, so it’s doctored.
Perfekt, super Arbeit. 👍🏻
Vielen Dank 👍

Not really wood drill
Guter Ansatz.
Könnte man mal nachmachen.
Dankeschön
It was translated from the original German version. He posted the original two months ago. Cool use of ai!!
Thx 🙏
just put a piece of rag between the drill bit and the steel plate when drilling. Boom, perfectly round hole. No joke.
Ok

Why not use step drill bit?
Yeah, Daddy cool ❤💪😂
Thx
no, i'm not regrinding my big diameter drills to this nonsense. that's what hole saws, step drills and predrilling is for
Ok
Good. Very good
