Great informative video and play by play. Building a Pro Stock up here in Wisconsin! Won’t be as aggressive as that but we all have to start somewhere. Have the rear half done, Midwest transaxle, planetaries, Kerber flywheel and clutch. And now the engine, Yanmar 3TNE78. Just having a hard time using the kids college tuition to build the engine up. Best of luck and hope to see you out there along the track!
I'm new on your channel, and I do enjoy watching garden tractors pulling. I've got a garden tractor in the garage it has on it is the front and rear tires frame, and that's it all I'm looking for : a V twin engine or a single cylinder engine maybe a 16 horsepower I guess you can I'm starting from the ground up I was hoping to be pulling last year but it didn't work now I'm going for this year I have 448 case fender and hood and 1450 cub cadet grill and hood and dashboard but all I need is an engine for it and that's all
I wish I could oblige you, but I put it in the trailer for the winter. The clutch is -essentially a Vogel Big Spline but it has aluminum disks with pucks in place of the fiber disks. I’ll try to remember to do a video when I get it out of the trailer
@@towntinker hey no problem I love all types of pulling but there’s absolutely zero diesel minis like that here so I’d like to gear one up and turn some heads with it!!!
Good morning. Great video. I’m looking to boost my JD 330. Any suggestions? I recently purchased a Bolen HT20 with a Onan 20hp puller for my son. It’s a winter project for us.
I think the 330,s are around 50 cubic inches. Maybe a GT12 size turbo? It will need to be pretty small. And you’ll have to turn up the fuel. Have fun building that puller with your son- it’s a great time. I’ll be doing a stock tractor build video- but it will be a cub cadet, so maybe not much help on a Bolens Stay tuned
So I have a cub 122 and I got a Yamaha v star 1100cc motorcycle that is shaft drive I was thinking that 1100 in the cub would make a decent pulling tractor but idk what class I would have to look into to build to spec or whatever
My kids and I are trying to get started in the garden tractor pullers but having a hard time finding machines in our area and finding someone to help me along with the build. I'm very mechanical inclined just some tricks of the trade would be helpful
i would like to hookupwith adiesel puller and the main tech of the pullers and do some changes to a few things 1 is i want to make the frame a bit longer to put the engine farther out to help control wheelies a bit so they get more weight on the drives and get cutting breaks on the tractors
@@towntinker what type of Yanmar engine? I’m wanting to build and can’t find what would be the best engine. Also what else do you got on it? Is it turbocharged?

Let's blow this up in Wisconsin haha 🤙
Make sure you click subscribe. I will be putting that tractor back together in a future episode
That’s a screamin lil case man👍👍 I’m wanting to build my grandson one, I love the ones that look just like the big pro stock tractors 👌
Awesome

Great stuff👍
Hey wicked tractor can you do a in-depth video showing how you set your clutch up and showing the driveline!!

Thank you. I will checkout the GT12. I was thinking a GT15. But I am limited on space.

Check with your local club(s). There are classes for motorcycle engine tractors, but not all clubs have them
Like it there my next puller

First order of business is to get ahold of a set of rules for your area.
Is there a club? Or county fairs doing their own rules or what?

Wanting to build one similar, with a VW 1.9. Wandering what transmission and rear would work best. Any ideas or recommendations?
For pulling- the Cub Cadet Transaxle is the king. And you can buy an aluminum version thru the aftermarket to save weight.
@@towntinker thank you! I'll see what I can find
Check the rules fist. A lot of places are not allowing automotive engines.
@@towntinker there are a couple classes in my area that do. Central Wisconsin
One day like have puller like that
Where you get the body
From a dealer. It’s a newer compact tractor hood and dash
Did u buy from somebody
Yes
What type of engine does it have on it? Please @ me so i get a notification when you reply
@foodestroyer01 it’s a Yanmar
@@towntinker what type of Yanmar engine? I’m wanting to build and can’t find what would be the best engine. Also what else do you got on it? Is it turbocharged?
It’s a 3TNE78
You might want to watch the video again.
@@towntinker I know what you said for an engine but I can’t find one anywhere
You’d be best to find a Kubota 1105
They are in large mowers, small tractors, light towers, etc
Throw a GT 15 turbo on it and have fun
I'm not 5 minutes into the video and I have two questions... Where do you live? And can we hang out? 😅
Haha- I’m in upstate NY.
We can definitely hang out.
Also- If I’m being honest, you probably need better role models.
If that's a witty joke about the fact that I'm a yellow and green man then thats hysterical.
What are the back fenders off of ?
A newer style Cub cadet.
I think I have a picture, but I’m not sure if I can share it here….
They have been radically chopped up though.
Go to my Facebook page- same name same logo.
I’ll put a picture or two there
