The contactors in that adapter can easily handle that amount of power. They are like the ones inside the charge point you are plugging into. I have a 62kwhr Leaf that charges up to 100Kw. I might keep it and buy one of these. It's down to the compatibility issue with different chargers.
I have been testing with a pretty high stay charge so I did not get the fastest speed on the one charger that it did work at, but after the latest firmware update it no longer works in any charger still waiting for the newest update. They said they’re gonna be sending one out soon but There is not a station anywhere in central Florida that this thing will work at now at the moment

@nomadichippie funny enough the instructions that I got in the box were slightly different, it said to plug it in to the car, activate the DCFC, then hold the power for 5 sec till it blinks slowly, and plug it in; it has also worked the way you've done it as well. Were you able to get it working on EA chargers? Note: I'm on a Kia Soul EV 2016 so our experiences may vary on that...
Have not gotten it working at Electrify America yet I’ve only had it work one time at a go. I haven’t had it working since I’ve tried it maybe 40 times with only working one time. Yeah I got the same instructions you got but Leslie video chatted with me and wants me to do it this way for some reason I keep trying it numerous way just not on video. I have not been able to get this works from you with the newest update and out all day today.

Since I only charge at home, for now, I've been keeping a close eye on this device you have been making videos on. I very much appreciate this. But what I've been doing as of late is going over the channels and clicking on, "do not recommend." Have you noticed all the morons who have channels bashing EVs with a lot of BS. I mean everyone is intitled to express thoughts, but base it on facts, and not because they just hate EVs. Anywho, I'm going to have some breakfast and get back to the "do not recommend" chore. Your channel is so much fun. 👍
I appreciate it so much. I have six more charger stations to test out today with the newest update so far no luck. I’m gonna be out until about three in the morning testing. Hopefully we’re getting closer to proper firmware. Yeah it’s kind of strange with the non-electric vehicle people. It’s like taking advice from an overweight person at the gym. They’ve never driven one. They don’t have one. They just like to talk bad about them for some reason or give you advice even though they’ve never even driven one OK everyone says you know opinions are whatever they are. It’s not a big deal. I’m just worried that, eventually, we won’t be able to charge our cars because all the stations won’t support us so we gotta have something and this adapter is only hope

I see other people press the button on the adaptor 1st then plug into the car then after a few seconds connect the fast charger.
Yeah, I was specifically told to plug it into the CCS. Start the charge press the power button and then put it into the car from the company. I’ve tried it numerous other way, but the company has watched my videos and told me plug it into the cable, start the charge press the button to turn the power on and then plug it into the car.
I also have seen some of the European testers first connect the adapter to the car, then connect the ccs to the adapter and then start the charger via app/rfid. Maybe retry the different order of events? Anyway, I am from Norway and I am baffled how bad the charging stations are in your area. So many out of orders. That would be totally unacceptable here in Europe. We have not only still a lot of Chademo connectors (though less and less) but in my cars screen I can even see when navigating to a charger how many are available and/or online. So I don’t make a trip for nothing. It also seems that this adapter works more places in Europe than in the US……
Maybe it has the ability to adapt to change by V4.0 ?

Just to make you aware Tesla just laid off lol there employees for Super charger. Expect things to get bad instead of better.
Yeah, they laid off the people, but there was a reason for it. They have enough charging stations now they are working on 100% up so the sales team that picks the sites and the deals for the site is no longer needed time is needed and that’s what they’re focusing on now.
Did you see the car wow guy in a leaf, cost £1500 45000 miles on clock new battery needed cost between £2k and £8 k , stick with an ice
I’m at 50,000 miles now and still have full battery. There’s no degradation even being shown in leaf spy everybody I know that owns one has had zero issues I have not met one person with a car that has been made since 2017 my girlfriend Chevy she is working up to 150,000 miles right now and still perfect.
Time to start testing hope it goes well
