My husband had high risk knee replacement...so busy being a nurse, physical therapist and go getter for him, so time is limited but wanted to pop on ( I am starting to sound like you) to say how much I enjoy your videos. Another incredible video! I really want to add blazers to my wardrobe but don’t know where to start! There are so many styles, colors, fabrics, etc. Is there a reasonably priced “starter” blazer you could recommend? One that will generally work with most body types?
Any from Zara are a great starting point and don’t go too oversized or boxy. Or, H&M . I’ve got a load coming up over the next few weeks.

Nobody does personal styling better than you Melissa. When I watch your videos I become like a sponge soaking up all your wonderful tips. I am 5' 1" and size 8/10 so it's been great to hear your advice on looking taller and broadening shoulders. Your tip on shortening sleeves with bands is fantastic but I'm having difficulty sourcing the clear silicone ones you often refer to. Can you help?
Yes, would you explain which bands to use? I find that most are meant to be hair ties so cut off circulation if used on normal sized arms. This is such a cool tip, but I've never been clear how to follow it.
They’re very small translucent hair bands. I agree that they look too small and like they’d cut off circulation but in fact they don’t and I use them on all sizes women. I get mine from Primark for £1.

I have just started watching your videos. I'm from American. I've been struggling every since I turned 50 to find clothing that would work for me. I am now 70 and have no desire to dress old or frumpy. But I was thin in my younger days and while I'm not big, my body has changed so much. Watching you style others, some of which have issues very close to mine has helped me. ( Strawberry / Apple Woman with cocktail stick legs) Now I just have to find the clothes. We live in the country, lost all the stores that carried clothes I liked. So now it is all on line. My life is 90% casual with the occasional need for dressy. But I still want to look good, casual or not. Thank you BTW we are planning a trip to London - are there any stores that you would recommend? Not high high end but middle of the road with a nice selection.

I LOVE your videos and advice which is drawing me away from bad habits. I have an hour-glass figure and am post-menopausal, though fit with a belly that bgs me. I am retired and wear pants or shorts mostly, but jeans are a BIG problem for me. I don't want camel-toe, but want something that makes me feel good about myself. Where can I go? It's so hit and miss with mostly misses!

Great video. I watch your videos repeatedly as menopausal memory not great and I seem to keep learning😆 I have picked up so many tips and recently revamped my wardrobe a bit- with the help of Claire😊 I am really struggling with a shoe to “elevate” my outfit for evening out. Trousers/ jeans/ jumpsuit type outfit. I have wide feet- can’t do heels and find I’m not so keen on very pointed ( I do recognise benefits) but maybe more ? Almond (not sure if that’s correct name). I would love if you could give any suggestions. I do wear premium leather trainers so something when a bit more dressy. Thanks

I never shop in petite but I do have to look for ones described as ‘ankle grazers’. I usually look at the picture of the model wearing them and if they look too short on her then they’ll be ok on me!

Melissa I love,love ,love all of your videos. I live in Canada and it notice that you don’t wear socks. When I try to style my outfits the issue of socks/stockings becomes a problem and actually I lose the style I’m trying to achieve. Could you address this is a video sometime? Many thanks.
The quick solution is to wear boots so you can wear socks. So when I show a trainer and a cropped ankle Jean, you’d just replace that trainer with a sock boot so you fill in the ankle space. Hope that makes sense!

Love from a German lady living in Montana. I have a hard time finding fitting tops, because I am short between my shoulders (round) and my bust. So most every t-shirt, tank and other more fitted top is bulging around the neckline and easily ‘falls’ of the shoulder. Tailoring isn’t easy due to the sleeves. Did you encounter this issue before and do you have recommendations, like certain brands that tailor differently?
Yes, many a time and shoulder pads work well to extend the width of the shoulders.

It depends if you're broad on top because of your shoulders or your bust? If it's your bust then yes, it would be great on you. Of all the women i dress there's less than 2% of them who have broad shoulders. Many feel broad because of the thickness of their arms but not their actual shoulder blades. Only if your shoulders are broad should you avoid but for any other shape then it works well.
Hi Melissa! I always find it interesting how you say shoulder details make the bust appear smaller. I have a 42L US bust and I love shoulder details but for myself, they scare me! lol but I also have a hard time with pants, balancing my lower half so maybe that's why it has never seemed to work. I have the hardest time finding items for myself that I actually feel great it. Do you work online with clients in the US?

It’s a very old Michael Kors watch. I think I’ve had it at least 12 years!!! I actually wear an Apple Watch but I have to take that off for filming as it’s linked to all of my equipment and often interferes as I forget to put it on airplane mode!!!
