I'm a 5-5 size 16 78 year old female who enjoys and learns from your videos. You really ARE the best stylist on TH-cam...bar none. Your attention to detail is faultless and I have begun to rid my wardrobes of clothes that never did me any favours or I thought I would slim into 'one day'. I have three wardrobes and too many drawers of clothes plus two cabin trunks of shoes wrapped in tissue, mostly heels higher than 2.5 inches and most of those brand new that I can't remember buying. The same with clothes. I've promised myself to be ruthless and I'll continue to refer to your videos, downsize and be realistic about what works and what doesn't. You have helped me rethink my wardrobe and what pieces I need to make my clothes work for me. Some neutral flats and tennis shoes have allowed me to look much more pulled together with many looks. I also appreciate your ideas with layering, especially with cooler Fall temperatures.
Your tips on shoe pairing and shirt tucking have helped me polish up my outfits so much. You really demonstrate balance so clearly, visual weight finally clicked in my brain with the excellent comparisons you provide. I look like an adult finally and am still comfortable! It’s been weird trying to transition from a wardrobe from my 20s looks and pandemic goblin mode to something that suits early-mid 30s and not be frumpy or look like I’m trying too hard. I don’t look like everyone else (which I’m happy about, I want to look unique but always felt like copying looks I like was the best I could do), but I do look like I know what I’m doing. It definitely helps with social anxiety to feel like I at least look put together. I just love watching you content 💛

Have been watching your Chanel for a couple of weeks and it’s is so helpful! After a ruthless throwing out session, I realise I have some great outfits that just needed tweaking. I get that. You leave the sleeve underneath (your jumper sleeve for example) down then just push your outer sleeve up by an inch or two then you retain most of the heat. X

I have a question - when the weather gets a bit chillier and you are wearing ankle boots with skirt/dress or loafers what do you put on your legs to keep your fee a bit warmer - would you recommend natural/tan tights, knee highs etc. Many thanks Paula
When it gets really cold then I’ll always have the boots on with socks underneath. If I’m wearing a dress then I’d only be picking a longer version where I could hide the fact that I’ve got tights on underneath. So basically I simply wouldn’t choose to wear a shorter dress if it meant that I was going to be cold. Nude tights can work but again I’d only use them when they weren’t really going to be seen. X

I love your videos and really appreciate how modern the outfits are but they really work for real bodies. One thing I struggle with is pregnancy style (most of the time the styles available are just leggings and long sweaters/sweatshirts, or skinny jeans and tshirts). Would love to see a video on a maternity capsule collection that can take you through trimesters and seasons!

Vivaia shoes - they provide an easy to follow measuring sheet so have a look at that. Monica vinader does tarnish after consistent wear (and yes, I wear their items everyday, even in the shower) but, they replace it or fix them for free so I simply send them back and they get returned looking brand new! Watching all your videos I realised I’m completely in a rut with handbags. I use the same one with everything and it goes with nothing. I hate changing over in case I forget to put something in. I’ve also always been a magpie and gone for bright or patterned colourful bags, which means I probably never really look smart. I’ve recently invested in a brown bag similar to the one you show, and a smart ish black one . Do I need anything else ? What kind and what colours do you think? I don’t know where to start, because I realise I need to smarten myself up. I am casual but there is a limit.

The weather is already turning colder here and sub-zero temperatures are on the way. While I love the look of ankle-length trousers and loafers without socks, it's just not practical for the colder weather. Could you show us some looks with socks? Do ankle pants work with socks? Unless you’re super trendy and everything you’re pairing the socks with is on trend then I’d say no, the socks won’t look right. You’re better wearing an ankle boot where you can wear the socks and they won’t be seen. Trainers and socks will look better but even then it’s a hard look to pull off unless you’re a fashionable teenager!!!

Hello Maureen. First of all I can see you were replied to by a scammer saying you’d win something - that was a scam and the user has been blocked, sorry. Now onto the real answer; if you’re wearing longer trousers then yes, wear socks with them but I’d say no, bare ankles are best if you’re flashing them. That said, it is very fashionable to wear socks and a thicker soled pair of loafers but in all honesty you have to be quite trendy to pull this look off, that or 19 years old! It’s definitely a look I couldn’t pull off!

You might find it’s what you’re wearing the blazer with that makes the blazer not work. Try keeping it simple with just a white t-shirt and see if that works. If you’re still having trouble send us through a quick picture and we can look at it for you. X

Yes, in fact it’s one of those platters like stripes that never dates but the type of garment they’re on does date. So, I tend to buy my animal print on a pointed shoe, pleated or slip skirt or a belt. These are are timeless pieces x
Hoops never work on me. When my ears were pierced at the mall back when I was a teen, the person wasn’t very experienced and I ended up with ear holes that when I put on the wrong type of earrings, it just looks tacky. For example hoops end up one facing a side profile, the other one going straight. Or earrings end up super low on my earlobes and it looks unattractive. The earrings that work best for me are dangly ones where each side of the dangle is the same. Think dangly balls or dangly 3-d teardrops.

I'm a 5-5 size 16 78 year old female who enjoys and learns from your videos. You really ARE the best stylist on TH-cam...bar none. Your attention to detail is faultless and I have begun to rid my wardrobes of clothes that never did me any favours or I thought I would slim into 'one day'.
I have three wardrobes and too many drawers of clothes plus two cabin trunks of shoes wrapped in tissue, mostly heels higher than 2.5 inches and most of those brand new that I can't remember buying. The same with clothes.
I've promised myself to be ruthless and I'll continue to refer to your videos, downsize and be realistic about what works and what doesn't. Your tips on shoe pairing and shirt tucking have helped me polish up my outfits so much. You really demonstrate balance so clearly, visual weight finally clicked in my brain with the excellent comparisons you provide. I look like an adult finally and am still comfortable! It’s been weird trying to transition from a wardrobe from my 20s looks and pandemic goblin mode to something that suits early-mid 30s and not be frumpy or look like I’m trying too hard. I don’t look like everyone else (which I’m happy about, I want to look unique but always felt like copying looks I like was the best I could do), but I do look like I know what I’m doing. It definitely helps with social anxiety to feel like I at least look put together. I just love watching you content 💛

I get that. You leave the sleeve underneath (your jumper sleeve for example) down then just push your outer sleeve up by an inch or two then you retain most of the heat. X

Hi Melissa, I get soo excited when you post a video - I love your style and tips. I have a question - when the weather gets a bit chillier and you are wearing ankle boots with skirt/dress or loafers what do you put on your legs to keep your fee a bit warmer - would you recommend natural/tan tights, knee highs etc. Many thanks Paula
When it gets really cold then I’ll always have the boots on with socks underneath. If I’m wearing a dress then I’d only be picking a longer version where I could hide the fact that I’ve got tights on underneath. So basically I simply wouldn’t choose to wear a shorter dress if it meant that I was going to be cold. Nude tights can work but again I’d only use them when they weren’t really going to be seen. X

I love your videos and really appreciate how modern the outfits are but they really work for real bodies. One thing I struggle with is pregnancy style (most of the time the styles available are just leggings and long sweaters/sweatshirts, or skinny jeans and tshirts). Watching all your videos I realised I’m completely in a rut with handbags. I use the same one with everything and it goes with nothing. I hate changing over in case I forget to put something in. I’ve also always been a magpie and gone for bright or patterned colourful bags, which means I probably never really look smart. I’ve recently invested in a brown bag similar to the one you show, and a smart ish black one . Do I need anything else ? What kind and what colours do you think? Hello from Canada! Thank you for another informative video. I always enjoy your tips and style. I have a question about socks. The weather is already turning colder here and sub-zero temperatures are on the way. While I love the look of ankle-length trousers and loafers without socks, it's just not practical for the colder weather. Could you show us some looks with socks? Do ankle pants work with socks? Help!🥶❄️☃️
Unless you’re super trendy and everything you’re pairing the socks with is on trend then I’d say no, the socks won’t look right. You’re better wearing an ankle boot where you can wear the socks and they won’t be seen. Trainers and socks will look better but even then it’s a hard look to pull off unless you’re a fashionable teenager!!!

Hello Maureen. First of all I can see you were replied to by a scammer saying you’d win something - that was a scam and the user has been blocked, sorry. Now onto the real answer; if you’re wearing longer trousers then yes, wear socks with them but I’d say no, bare ankles are best if you’re flashing them. That said, it is very fashionable to wear socks and a thicker soled pair of loafers but in all honesty you have to be quite trendy to pull this look off, that or 19 years old! It’s definitely a look I couldn’t pull off!

You might find it’s what you’re wearing the blazer with that makes the blazer not work. Try keeping it simple with just a white t-shirt and see if that works. If you’re still having trouble send us through a quick picture and we can look at it for you. X

I do wear socks liners and you’re right, many do move but I have a random pair that seem to stay in place, they’re not branded I’m afraid so I can’t tell you where they were from. There is a trick you can do with a pair of pop socks. I’ll try and add it onto a video for you as it’s too hard to explain over text!

Yes, in fact it’s one of those platters like stripes that never dates but the type of garment they’re on does date. So, I tend to buy my animal print on a pointed shoe, pleated or slip skirt or a belt. These are are timeless pieces x

Yes, but i'd still have a layer underneath that wasn't rolled up.
Hoops never work on me. When my ears were pierced at the mall back when I was a teen, the person wasn’t very experienced and I ended up with ear holes that when I put on the wrong type of earrings, it just looks tacky. For example hoops end up one facing a side profile, the other one going straight. Or earrings end up super low on my earlobes and it looks unattractive. The earrings that work best for me are dangly ones where each side of the dangle is the same. Think dangly balls or dangly 3-d teardrops.
