Im thinking about getting a jku to go with the shorty and was considering doing a b pillar chop and welding the rear doors up, and having it sorta like a 2 door stretch look but without the legal issues of a stretch where i live.

8:30 Why not use that lift your parked under to hoist it up and roll the jeep out from under it? Anyway, nice cage. That mat finish is sharp. That's a lot of prep work you guys have to do on the JKs. My LJ was a considerably easier job.
We talked about using the lift but in the end we just decided on finessing it out of there ourselves. I’m sure the lift would have worked too. For me personally, it was fun just lifting it out ourselves. But that’s me, I’m weird
This jeep is a beast looks great man! Have you thought about replacing the seats? We put a poison Spyder cage in ours and really regret not putting this cage in. We installed the Corbeau Baja XRS seats 2 in front and 2 in the back seat and it completely changed the look and function of the jeep but did sacrifice a middle seat in the rear. Any plans on seats in the future? Great work on this rig looks incredible

Does the JK feel different now? E.g. stiffer/tighter, more body roll, etc.? Curious how much this affects the COG and such. Thanks for the video; you captured some of the minutia that most have not such as the bracket installation. Excellent video.
Thank you! Feels slightly tighter and more responsive in a good way. I gained maybe an extra 230lbs. I don’t feel any added body roll. I’m still pretty bottom heavy because of the dana 60s. I definitely don’t feel tipsy or top heavy on the trails. I really like this upgrade. Thank you for watching!

Not to sound like a D-bag but why didn’t you use the lift to lift the cage up and move the Jeep then carry? Will the lift not go that high? Seriously I’m not trying to be a butt hole.
