Ooohh, I might try this once I unlock all Experts (some song are too boring for me so I didn't play all of them lol) At leats for my gameplay I would add and change some rules since nuzlockes are meant to be hard, not impossible haha :'/ (Sadistic music factory will still kick my ass): - I'd pick max 3 modules (since Teto only has 3) for each character, they HAVE to be your top 3 favourites (kind of like how you should nickname your Pokemon so you grow attached). - You should only use those modules till they "can't sing anymore". So basically you get 30 lives which is reasonable considering the amount of songs and how hard the game is - If the song features more than one character, the module you are nuzlocking with should be "singer 1" and the other character(s) should be the recommended module. - Like you said, once you get a DROPxOUT you can't use that module anymore - Agree with what you said about playing at a difficulty above what you usually play - I wanted to sort the songs by level but that would mean playing with the same character for the first 30 or so easy songs, so you should sort them alphabetically and make your way through them starting with Acute (Easier to keep track than randomising them) - You win the nuzlocke by clearing all songs, if you fail one song you can skip to the next one but you must eventually clear them all - A full combo lets you play a song that you previously failed in a lower difficulty (a nice reward for skilled players). Hope this one is not too OP tho, I like to think that not every player is Hisokee

I think opting to put a star limit would make it more accessible meaning songs above your skill cap are played on an easier ranking but if it's too easy, you have to do more than just pass or use modifiers to make it more difficult. I'm above average so I'd scale this based off the difficulty where you can get your highest and lowest ranks and scale accordingly. I'm at the point I'm barely able to pass a couple 10's, I can pass most 9.5's but not always first try, and pass most 9's but with Great if I'm lucky, so my rules would be: 10 Star - Don't die 9.5 Star - Pass with any ranking 9 Star - Pass with a Great ranking or higher 8.5 Star - Pass with an Excellent ranking or higher 8 Star - Pass the song with a 99% or higher (misses are allowed) 7-7.5 Star - Pass with a Perfect ranking (no misses) Anything below 7 - Pass with an Excellent rating with a difficulty modifier I can opt to lower the requirement by one tier by adding a difficulty modifier at any ranking If I was barely able to pass 8 Extreme, and rolled a 9 extreme, I'd play it on Hard. But if it was then too easy, like a 6 Star, then you're required to either get an incredibly high percent or play with a modifier to keep you on your toes. That way you always have a fighting chance but are constantly challenging yourself.
Wouldn't this be a better "nuzlocke" challenge if u used the hidden/sudden note modifier 🤣🤣 that way, even those that u feel confident you can finish can have a bit of a challenge in it too! Hoping for a part two of this one soon

I love the concept of making a nuzlocke for the diva games! I would genuinely try to do one but I am at the stage now where the only songs i struggle with are "the intense voice of hatsune miku" and "denparadigm" on exextreme. I also like watching your progress with higher scores in diva. When I started out and couldnt beat any song on extreme on diva F I thought to myself "im never going to be able to even attempt any song in future tone because these songs are pain". So just keep practicing my dude! one day you will beat worlds end dancehall exextreme!

Or if you meant like not getting at least a standard: As long as you still have HP left then you clear it, as the challenge focuses more on survival than scores (hope that makes sense)

Project diva is actually a pretty hard rhythm game too. It’s not like dance dance revolution or guitar hero where you win by just completing the song if if your rhythm is not good enough you will fail even if you complete the song

Just do the energizer bunny challenge but for extreme. It's perfects on all songs on the same difficulty in one sitting, no breaks except for quick snack or bathroom breaks.
i did something similar but in pjsk to grind for gems, i would select a group and then try to fc each song i got randomly until i lost then move on to another group and pull after i finished, it’s not rly the same but it’s good motivation to get more fcs ( ´ ▽ ` )
I love the idea of this but man I’m stuck doing extreme and extra extreme based on my skills and I can’t pass every song on the high stars Edit: I plan on trying this when I'm bored, I can pass most songs its just certain 9-10 star songs (and maybe some 8-8.5 songs, not sure) I struggle with. Wouldn’t a better way to a challenge run be instead of switching characters (who are all functionally identical), have a mod or something so damage taken in one song carries over to the next? That way there’s a bit of strategy between picking easy/hard songs, since hitting a note with the highest rank heals you a bit. That way we also don’t have to deal with the ‘this character is better/worse that this character’ bs that almost made me want to turn the video off
Unfortunately, there are no mods that do that just yet. I hope that there is some modder who sees this and implements that, as that would really make it feel more like a nuzlocke

Just do the energizer bunny challenge but for extreme. It's perfects on all songs on the same difficulty in one sitting, no breaks except for quick snack or bathroom breaks.
i did something similar but in pjsk to grind for gems, i would select a group and then try to fc each song i got randomly until i lost then move on to another group and pull after i finished, it’s not rly the same but it’s good motivation to get more fcs ( ´ ▽ ` )

Its so weird how len, kagamine LEN survived multiple songs without dying... So in character to die twice though
I love the idea of this but man I’m stuck doing extreme and extra extreme based on my skills and I can’t pass every song on the high stars
Edit: I plan on trying this when I'm bored, I can pass most songs its just certain 9-10 star songs (and maybe some 8-8.5 songs, not sure) I struggle with. I might try this with my arcade controller too

Wouldn’t a better way to a challenge run be instead of switching characters (who are all functionally identical), have a mod or something so damage taken in one song carries over to the next? That way there’s a bit of strategy between picking easy/hard songs, since hitting a note with the highest rank heals you a bit. That way we also don’t have to deal with the ‘this character is better/worse that this character’ bs that almost made me want to turn the video off
Unfortunately, there are no mods that do that just yet. I hope that there is some modder who sees this and implements that, as that would really make it feel more like a nuzlocke
