Mostly the editing community started in 2020 but I think its dying also, because barely anyone make any new trends, and probably maybe editing took from 2 to 6 hours of rendering for editors who used AE, video star pro, motion ninja and funimate, it took a day or more of rendering but the other reasons you said is also true that many editors quit and moved to new content.
Roblox Editing Community Started in 2018 with all of the Musical.ly and TikTok videos of Mocap Edits. But that wasn’t really touched by many people in the Roblox community because the videos were not really popular until quarantine when we were locked up in our homes and started to discover the corner of Roblox which is the Roblox editing community because of TikTok.
Can we save it!! 😰

i got recommended this video by TH-cam, the edits already giving me flashbacks of early 2022, but yeah, people are switching to new content nowadays and are unmotivated.

The reason why I think its dying
-inappropriate edits
-SCAMS AND MARKETING/SPONSORS
-small underrated editors with great edits getting overlooked by the algorithm
-catalog edits.
-old trends repetitive styles
The explaining-
If you see small cc editors (hence me) you will see they try to replicate after effect's editing style with masking and shakes, along with some other things. The thing is that the community is now dry because everyone uses the same style. I do not, i have my own style, and some of my mutuals/friends/others do too.

I think there's also the fact that some editors r fast so they join every edit comp they can so little editors has no chances to win and are super unmotivated cuz of thoses stupid editors only here for robux ofc this comment is rlly targeted cuz ik someone who does that also there's lot of toxic ppl so this is making the community go rlly down but dw I'm not in thoses ppl I join comps bc it's fun and bc ppl r happy when i join thier and when ppl r happy im happy but joining edit comps is a argument for some to tell someone is selfish, my best friend got alot of hates for joining edit comps and being on top 3 ppl called her selfish bc she won and didn't let a chance to other like how it's js robux that's the point of the community being so toxic she didn't join all edit comps she joined only big edit comps like yea- but dw nothing can make me quit c: #savetherobloxeditingcommunity

Yea I definitely agree! There are so many editors joining edit comps with smaller prizes (or smaller edit comps in general) just to win and get robux, and it's kinda annoying ;-; I do know a lot of people though who join edit comps just for enjoyment or motivation (myself included) but there are a lot of more selfish people who join which kinda sucks ;-; This behavior also outshines very underated and talented editors that want to show of there work. And a lot of them quit because of this sadly. I genuinely join edit comps for either 1. Someone wants me to join, 2. More motivation and so I have something to post ;-;, 3. It's an edit comp for a friend/editor I like, 4. It's a collab edit (and most of the time I don't have control over which edit comp they choose ;-;) and 5.Which is the most likely, it's just a fun hobby I enjoy! I really never intend on winning or getting any prizes, and I wished a lot more people in the community just did it for fun instead of the robux it involves.
Another reason is the unfairness. A lot of times people aren't considered good editors and won't win prizes just because they don't use after effects or other expensive apps.

And fr I’m not quitting I’m just so unmotivated, I’ll have to wait a month or so then I’ll be back and fr I started making mm2 edits and they helped me grow, then I changed to total drama (might go there for a lil) but yeah it’s dead. #savetherobloxeditingcommuinty

I reasons why the editing community is dying
1.Lack of uploading
Some editors have a bad upload schedule and I get that editing is hard and time consuming BUT ATLEAST DONT TAKE 6 MONTHS OR 7 WEEKS TO UPLOAD A VIDEO
2.Most of edits are not noticed or popular
I some times see an amazing edit in TH-cam shorts but they only have 2 to 10 likes or something and barely any comments
Those are the two reasons I have
which very sad because they should have more likes for the time and effort they spend in it.
I have been a part of the roblox editing community since 2020 and i enjoyed every part of it. Most people are really nice and fun :). I’m so sad to see this community dying 😢😢#savetherobloxeditingcommunity
THIS IS SO TURE.. i did dance vids with my brother and fans and friends in like 2021 but then i stoped because i was bad at editing my friends tryied to make me do more dance vids i said no now i am in middle school and i have so much work and i hate the work i get also i left some of my friends that help me with the vids because most of them went to a diffrent schools and my main friend well i dont relly talk to him i last talked to him a week ago and we only have 1 period together and i get mad at him because he is always so wild i do still talk to him though we just dont play games together the only resson i am moslty friends with him is because he tells me what we do in pe he has pe 4th period i have pe 6th period he talks to me in 5th period we will be 2nd smester soon i dont know if i want more classes or less with him wait what are we talking about?💀
It’s dying cuz the roblox editing community is too repetitive. characters dancing are dumb. we need to start making other edits, characters dancing is in THE PAST.
