I quit Roblox in 2021 because I watched the People Make Games video about the abhorrent reality of how Roblox is basically a digital company town. That day, I decided to stop endorsing a company that actively facilitates this kind of exploitation, and dropped the game cold-turkey. It wasn't because I was bored, hated a specific update, or growing out of the game (I was actually trying to become a dev on the platform myself), but because Roblox is a scummy company that continued to grow exponentially worse after I left.
Roblox has given me literally no reason to return to the platform, and I never intend to return to the game.

Agreed, Roblox just feels soulless now, I see very talented developers getting overshadowed by those braindead games made for 3 years old and it's sad to see youtubers like yours truly, Lankybox, promoting them. I just feel like Roblox keeps promoting awful things and the shit happening on their platform and it just feels so lifeless and tasteless now. Ignore all these bot comments made by edgy 8 year olds, and just know you're doing the right thing by leaving this shitty platform and driving it further into it's slow and miserable downfall.

The boredom factor applies to me so well. I've played nearly every good and interesting game on the platform and there is so many that show up that are complete copies of originals with simple and weak twists. If you searched up simulator back a couple years ago there would be simulators you could play for hours on end without boredom but now there are simulators that are just copied and pasted EVERYWHERE. Roblox is really only fun now when I find a game I've played before that I get an urge to play again. Roblox still manages to fail to get me surprised about anything and if I do get surprised it's usually about something negative added. Roblox is now just a copy and paste content bot farm with no more enjoyment factor to it and it's just lost the taste it used to have.

The creator behind Lethal Company (Zeekerss) started out as a dev by making a bunch of games on Roblox, A Lucid Dream, Silent Dark and Light Bulb to name a couple. They usually didn't get a lot of concurrent players, especially since they're all singleplayer.
Now Lethal Company gets 120K average players (which is actively rising) and reached an all time peak of 240,817 players. I think It's safe to say that Roblox devs will find way more success if they put their games on steam.
Also, a popular game called Unturned which is a zombie survival game used to also be on Roblox but was removed and added to Steam and seems to be quite popular (Which was stated). These games are usually sent to Steam because of the fact that Roblox removes everything fun and changes so much stuff that just ruins current games. I wouldn't be surprised if even the popular horror game doors was added to steam and there it might get even more recognition.

and it will die in a month once they realise the game is a shitty roblox game where the mechanic is dying you will never get a shotgun you wont have a weapon or armor unless your a speedrunner using glitches because the game spawns enemys on you so you die

I left Roblox today, because of hackers and campers in the game, and also toxic players too. And that is the reason why I quit playing Roblox.
My stats on the game TWISTED, the storm chasing game, I have driven 9730.5 miles overall, 155 intercepts, and the highest wind speeds were 233 mph. I quit playing that game and Roblox because of toxic players.

I started playing Roblox back in 2014, and after 2018 ended it just started to get boring and the Roblox updates actually sucked. Then there's the Roblox moderation which actually sucks; people get banned for saying " Hi " nowadays, so yeah i'm definitely not staying on for much longer.
Now, if I had a chance to time travel back to when my favorite games were still popular, say for example:

I quit Roblox on September 5th 2023 because I was going into my freshmen year of HS and I needed to focus on other stuff in life. I logged out also because of boredom. It is not the same as when I started on January 7th, 2019…
It used to be fun, but now I just can't have fun anymore without playing with friends. Playing by myself doesn't feel that good anymore, and I feel like the bad updates have become worse. I quit during the pandemic but started playing with my friends as it was fun. Now it's just finding a good game for like 2 days and then switching to the next game. Only horror games seem to interest me now, not simulator or tycoon games.

I personally just stopped playing roblox, because i thought my presence in the games were making others uncomfortable. So i just stopped and i just want to go back, but for some reason i just, can't... i remember playing roblox all day all alone and i had so much fun even thoug i was literally playing something hella boring, i still held on cuz i wanted to reach something in the game so hard, that it kept me there all day and i was just grinding untill i got it, and i did it multible times and it was painful everytime, but it just gave me a reason to live for, but now.. it's just. All gone i can't grind anymore, even if i want to i just lost the pain that it gave and i just want to play with someone and then i realise i have noone to play with and i am just sad and i feel like i am left out from everything. 6 years of playing roblox constantly and it just ends like this 😢

I quitted roblox back in 19, it was way too boring and the homepage was full of unoriginal games that weren't as good as it used to be before. I personally feel like back then the games were much more simple and I like something about that, roblox back then had much more depth and was way more fun

About the rthro one, I have actually had rthro many times, one time, a Roblox player actually said rthro kills Roblox. I didn’t believe it because I thought these people were trying to get me to change my avatar, but that second I heard “Rthro was a big deal that people quit Roblox at alarming rates,” now I know why these players told me rthro kills Roblox.
There’s one thing I’ll say.
If you are actually going to quit and come back you should say momentarily or something like that like how I still have Roblox as one of the places I modeled in but due to a studio bug I quit studio but I said I’ll come back when I do after my hiatus. Otherwise I never really quit roblox but I was very upset by the bug I encountered that I just gave up but now I’m feeling motivated despite the possibility of the bug happening again.

i still afk roblox simulators and stuff if I'm sleeping or just not using my PC in general at the time but when it comes to physically playing roblox games its pretty rare except to visit old experiences I played back in like 2016-2019 for nostalgia or if I just feel like earning some free ugc items if I'm bored or talking to some old friends because certain games like SPFS just have a community who have always stuck around and you can usually find someone to talk to that you used to know

I quit Roblox about a year ago, main reasons were the new anticheat which is annoyingly unnecessary, lack of good games, Roblox chat censorship being awful, games I played dying out and just finding better multiplayer games to play with my friends

Like my friends, me, some of my fav devs are all getting false bans. Even one of my good friends got terminated for the dumbest reason.

As someone who plays roblox twice a year (used to be daily 3 years ago) I can relate.
Man... It really hurts to see how *corrupted* Roblox is. I used to love it, but now I'm starting to hate it slowly as time progresses. Fun fact: I don't know when I'm gonna quit, but I would probably do so in 2024. There's a high chance that may happen. I don't have anything else to say so uh yeah-
You didn't even see Roblox as "imperfect" before you saw it. That's because as your mind gets bigger. You noticed the imperfections that Roblox had over the years. It's becoming a growing progression to finally, see Roblox being *"corrupted"* I don't like Roblox as a company but, I also not fond of the community that overreacts every Roblox update. I grew to resent Roblox for trying to become a "metaverse" by unneeded modernization. (i.e. "Experiences using Marketplace Items - Policy update" and forcing Dynamic Heads onto Roblox)
Roblox always isn't a utopia, there are countless videos documenting this. (Even way back to the golden ages.) It's starting to be bigger as more people saw Roblox and criticize Roblox for all of the things that they do. If Roblox wanted to change, they have to: try and improve their communication to the community, make better changes to benefit the community, and try to make updates that the community needs. The community isn't perfect however, countless of 18+ games are popping up some are just to "criticize" Roblox for their misdeeds, but others are malicious and only bring harm than good.
In conclusion the community and Roblox aren't perfect. They would never be truly the perfect community, but they still stand strong to this day. There will always be dark ages though but if it's still standing to this day. Roblox will never truly fall from grace until the R6 removal update or some controversy that makes people quit Roblox forever and go to better alternatives than Roblox. We only hope for the best and try to be optimistic. Sadly, it isn't the case. The Roblox Community has caught themselves into so much drama. It had only grown worse since a youtuber named "Parlo" getting himself into a lot of drama and just kept digging deeper when it's unneeded. As much as I applauded Parlo for spreading awareness and trying to stop drama, I can't expect that he stops creating himself unnecessary drama and his safety online.

I made an official statement to quit roblox actually forever, because they have sabotaged my game development career by making it impossible for indie devs to advertise at a low budget. Instead of 10 Robux, its 10 DOLLARS. Plus all the games are P2W and I get bored so dam fast just not spending a penny.

- the ridiculous moderation system of picking and choosing who to ban or penalize
- constant cash grab inside games that requires more money to be spent to have fun out side the game and inside other games (insane prices as well, the game basically became what the fuss was about with loot boxes and DLC)
- lack of real updates
- constant issues (like different body types, clothes going missing due to compatibility, technical issues)
- RNG problems that has nothing to do with your side of connection (Murder mystery, or certain FPS games that causes you a death due to the game not being in sync with where you and the opposite players actually are, like a murderer can stab you being 5 feet away behind you but the game is so late or so off key to the point where you aren't actually where you are standing on your screen to others and the same goes for FPS games with you getting shot)
I have an updated Gaming PC, highest internet speed and can play and open two high graphically powered games at the same time and have true and great connection, no lag, no loading time issues, but on ROBLOX they would pretend its on the player's end when its actually their game that isn't properly made. if you look into this or even mention this, they would try to dismiss you or ban you.
their game is unstable. you can have fun, but only if you accept the cons and its really not worth it. the game used to be something really good with the ticket system but now it is all greed. the game really has better customization than what it had in the past but truly became lack luster in all other areas where it counts. i do not feel like im missing out on anything by not playing this game

I am Brazilian and one simple thing makes so much people quit Roblox, is Roblox dont have ANY server here. This makes be Impossible to play anything less than 200 ping. This gives a lot of disaventage, and the fact Roblox doest matter with Brazil servers makes a lot of people quit Roblox

I quit Roblox when all of these updates started. It’s getting boring, everything is basically brain rot, players aren’t the same anymore, and the new UGC items, clothings, and packages absolutely suck. I don’t know why Roblox did all these upgrades, thinking it would be “better”, but it isn’t.. I joined Roblox in about 2017, and I think quitting is the best thing to do if you don’t like how badly developed Roblox has gotten.
