The worst thing about Starfield is how they sacked 80% of their developer staff BEFORE they made this game, and then made it out was gonna be amazing. Literally nobody who knew anything about development thought it would be, but shit we didn't realise how tripey things were going to get! Ironically, the IP has legs but this game probably needs a complete rewrite by actual human developers this time. No AI cheating! Yes Todd I know it's cheaper, but so was getting in students! I'm pretty sure that is actually a real deign philosophy for their games. I gotta find it, but I remember reading that they literally like half ass and cut corners on games with the intent of modders fixing stuff for free.
@@ogaimon3380 It was really cool of the Morrowind developers to have made publicly available tools good enough for Bethesda to have coasted off of them for twenty years, but Starfield's version of those tools hasn't been released - Starfield's modders are working entirely off of community reverse engineering and runtime memory reprogramming. Community reverse engineering and runtime memory reprogramming which is becoming more and more of a necessity for more and more basic tasks as more and more of the Bethesda engine gets changed without those tools in mind.
The only singular moment where the illusion broke was when Todd's mouth didn't move when he said "7/10." Either it cut to his face too soon or his mouth should have moved for the bit where he was on screen for that line. Outside that, flawless. I've never seen a more convincing and elaborate deepfake type video.
A.I is becoming terrifyingly authentic. This sounds so goddamn real, despite the fact neither of them would say the things in this video in a thousand years.
No, corporate speak is so monotone, so easily predictable, so inhuman, it's easy for AI to replicate it. I'm not even joking. Corporate speak is extremely robotic, so I really think it;s one of the reasons that AI can output it so well.
I mostly despise the way "AI" has been abused in modern times for people to basically cut corners on every aspect of being creative, and for corporations to cut jobs. But I have to admit that it has a lot of potential when it comes to things like humor. Eventually we're probably going to get stricter laws and the like to stop such AI humor from being so easily widespread, which is really sad - because once you can't tell the real from the parody, I could see people getting upset about it.

Pretty sure using their own engine saves them a ton of money so it is unlikely to ever change. Best you can hope for is they eventually upgrade it to a more stable state and with how the creation engine 2 turned out the future isn't looking to bright. I already know elder scrolls 6 is going to be disappointing just depends how much.

It probably did, in the private dev conference rooms in Bethesda HQ during game development. Starfield is actually a quintessential Bethesda game experience. If Starfield didn’t have these major bugs, it wouldn’t be a game from Bugthesda.

Amazing. To be honest, i appreciate how they give credit to Bethesda anyway at the end, as regardless of how average/mixed Starfield has been, theyve been a massive part of our childhoods and have made a lot of great memories playing their older titles. Love the overall feel of this video.
