But if not, the spray the groomer is using is likely a grooming spray that can be sprayed directly on the cat's fur or on a comb as was demonstrated here. PinkPawPal makes an excellent grooming spray that I use on my Persian cat which makes her soft and silky. It looks like hairball gel. It helps them pass the hair instead of throwing up the balls. This cat didn’t like it so she needed to force his mouth open. She wasn’t hurting him. Beautiful cat.
