    Great buckle! I always wondered how these were made. I have an old Motorcycle club buckle in my collection made this way.

    Do you have to have really high heat to solder a buckle

      Well, the hardware needs to be soldered on with at least extra easy solder, which is high heat solder. The overlays can be soldered on with 400 degree soft solder.
