it's so great, seeing that they are just a normal band like any other band out there. doing rehearsals, doing mistakes, asking about simple chords... i like that^^
I think this track is great, an instrumental was definitely needed on this album, and I'm glad they put one in. The soft part in the middle always sends shivers down my spine, as the sound reminds me of the old Metallica, kinda like the instrumental in the middle of Puppets! What a beautiful piece of music. Guys please keep up the good work, you really show your expert song writing in this album, and I love ya :-)

This helps them bring more of they're artistic abilities to make albums and songs. Also, Rick was the former producer for Slayer so seeing how successful Slayer is now, Metallica is in good hands.

@wambamgazam Well it's more difficult to write and learn a song because there are so many changes, see how James changed the melody from HOing to picking? He could of been used to hammering but now he had to get used to picking it all (bad example but you get the point)

There arent 2 versions, just 2 for Guitar hero where one version you play Kirk's solo, and one you play James's solo. Hence the 'K.H.' and 'J.H.' versions.
So they tracked the best album they've done in years, through a wonderful Neve recording console, and spent all this time making it perfect, only to ruin the final mixes with hyper compression! Such a sonic disappointment.... And I heard James (in another video) say to the guys from Slayer that they were approving mixes in a backstage tent in Europe! It's crazy...
