Is the Star Class something you purchased before hand or once at the property? I purchased this package through Costco and this is my first all inclusive trip so I am not sure what to expect, please advise. Congrats on your engagement too!!
Thank you! We purchased the star class package prior to our arrival. You're going to love it! The staff is super attentive and we simply enjoyed the perks such as the star class beach dinner, the star class pool, and bar, star class breakfast etc.

We asked our travel agent to book two main floor rooms closest to the Star Class pool. Can you please share with me what building your room was located in? Thank you, Paul
To my memory all are lenient with dress attire with the exception of the steak house. Of course if there is a theme for the evening they will let you know.
The food was phenomenal. The seafood was so fresh and my favorite restaurant was the Japanese restaurant with hibachi and suhsi. Because we had the star package we got to participate in the star package beach dinner which was all-you-can-eat of some of the best lobster I've had in quite some time.

I'm booked to stay at the Riu in Guancaste but I'm seriously thinking of changing to this hotel. Is this suitable for children?? My daughters will be 12 and 16 so I dont want a loud party hotel. Are there lots of excursions from hete?? I chose Guancaste becuase of the Eco centre next door. Do you know how far away is it from Planet Hollywood. Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated
Hi! Thanks for tuning in :). This resort is family friendly. You can book excursions that pick up and return from the property via the concierge. in reference to the eco centre i am not sure where it is in relation to planet Hollywood. During our stay we didn’t experience any loud or obnoxious pool parties and there honestly wasn’t a heavy crowd at any point in the pool area. However please keep in mind we went at the end of February and beginning of march. The themed dinners are fun and family friendly i also know this property is next to the marina which you can tour if interested. They also show movies at night in the main building. Most of the evening events happen in that building but if you’re looking to keep quiet or turn in early, we didn’t experience anything tht prevented that atmosphere once in our rooms. I always recommend packing insect repellent for vacation. Better to have and not need. 4. The hydrotherapy was this massive pool that in hind site acted more as a Jacuzzi. We loved the beach. It was never really crowded and it was our first time on a black sand beach. I will warn you in saying that the sand gets VERY HOT in the peak hours of the day so definitely bring your sandals.

There is something for everyone. The evening shows are fantastic! The performers and musicians are super talented and interactive. My favorite show is the Oscar night dinner held on Thursdays. Lots of dancing, singing and acrobatics (aerial arts)! Another fun dance party show is 80's Night which is on Friday's. We went to the asian themed restaurant mentioned in the video which was our favorite along with the plated breakfast in the steak house for star class guests. Lastly, unfortunately there weren't any foam parties that we saw during our stay. BUT, that's not to say that they don't have it or won't add it. I hope this was helpful. The price increase is built into the total so it varies based on time of yeAr, duration of trip, etc. In terms of wheelchair accessibility, in my experience not really. there's a lot of stairs and hills but I would reach out to the hotel directly and what accommodations they can make.
We did the walk on the marina. I recommend it if you are looking for something fun and "low maintenance". The marina was gorgeous it's walking distance from the resort, so it's not far and we got to see monkeys which was cool. Also, we did not book this through the resort but you can if you want, i highly recommend you doing the day trip to Tabacon Thermal Spa and Resort. We stayed there for our last night in Costa Rica and were absolutely blown away. You can book a day trip to go to Tabacon for the hot springs and lunch or dinner. Transportation is included. We do have a video showcasing the grounds, the resort and the hot springs. I hope this was helpful.

If the star class is included I would say yes. If memory serves me correctly that is about what we paid for our stay.

Definitely. It's right on the beach and the star class package gives you access to the "exclusive" pool area, less volume.
