I just came back from CR but I stayed at Rui Palace. Everyone accepted USD as tips. Locals also took USD for souvenirs. Stores accepted credit cards too
I recommend bringing small bills to tip the staff. We never felt pressure from anyone, except at the airport, but we tipped everyone along the way as the service was really good.

@@smithgenevera the hotel was a little isolated from the main town but setting up transportation was easy. And yes, each night while I was there there was a different activity like the silent party and throwback party we went to.

Honestly, I have no idea. Most of the buildings are on a hill and I definitely needed a golf car to get around.

Thank you! I think everyone has access to the golf carts. The main lobby and restaurants are a bit of a walk to the pool and suites.

It took about an hour to an hour and half to get there and we booked through the hotel
