David, as you know, I think you do an amazing job with these mopeds and you seem to go for the European stuff. Fancy a challenge ? Why not tackle a quite unusual French one---a Velo Solex, the one with the simple (?) engine on the front wheel. I think you would enjoy the journey,-- I did. Greetings from County Cavan, Eire.
as far as the grey wire goes that might be ignition ground from the stator to the brake light to complete the circuit, that's how it's set up on the Peugeot mopeds I swapped out the points ignition to the MBK CDI unit so the only circuit I have to modify is the brake light circuit and the brake light switches. thanks for posting and good luck with it, BTW I finished my friend's moby and she runs beautiful, ill be starting on my Peugeot 103 soon, stay well.

I always love the songs you compose and use on these videos. Keep it up!
@ haha I feel you there. I have a Honda Grom and a scooter to play with, but I dream only of mopeds at night. My motobecane is like an abusive relationship I just can't leave. Luckily my Puch project seems to be coming together without much strife. XD
Ha! No luck. I’ve been squirreling away money for awhile. Just hoping one pops up somewhere. There was a beautiful one on Reddit the other day. Not for sale, just for drooling over 🤓
I'm guessing your choice of exhaust is a surprise for the finale? As for a new kit, I wouldnt run it lean to start with, even for a little bit. Not after all that work lol
Oh yeah... plenty of exhaust on the next episode. As a matter of fact, I’m at the workshop now playing around with the rejetting for something awesome!
Thanks Kelley. Forgot to say on the last comment that I usually just pick a drill bit that’s a little bigger than the hole in the center of the rivets holding in the VIN tag. Hope the painting is going well.
@@DavidFixesHisShit no worries! I managed to figure it out! Unfortunately Texas weather has not been kind to my project schedule. It was 90 on Wednesday and today it's in the 50s with showers. Haha. During the last sale I decided to bite the bullet and get a teco circuit exhaust from treats among a few other goodies. :D
What’s up Dave. Got some very bad rust on the chrome rims on my intramotor Gloria scout. Any advice or luck with a product you have used before? I’ve tried steel wool but it’s only taken off the lighter stuff. The videos u make are great me and my buddies have gotten the moped itch
I've used wirebrushes on a drill and smaller wire brushes with a dremel tool and it takes care of the heavy stuff really well. Just be sure to wear safety glasses because the brushes will shed and little steel fibers go flying everywhere. Months later I'm still finding them stuck in my socks and shirts and on the garage floor.
Hey David I have a garelli 86 and the bike is running great but when go on a ride the bike is struggling to get up the hill, do you think is a carburetor problem or timing?
Hey Felipe. Is it a two speed? Maybe it’s getting caught in second gear and doesn’t have the torque to get you up the hill. I weigh 200LBs and a 50cc moped needs to work HARD to get me up a hill. Thankfully, I live in a pretty flat place, so I don’t have to worry about it too often, but mopeds being slow up hills is less a ‘problem’ and more a ‘characteristic’ 😜
Whst is the small knob that can be turnt on the right side of the engine? I have the same bike. I'm curious if it's something to do with starting or clutching. Thanks in advanced.
It still is a really weird moped. You can shoot a cannonball through the moped without hitting anything :P A friend of mine has a similar shape moped. A motobecane. We drove 500km in 3 days together last summer. He actually placed a bag full with stuff inside that large hole in the frame. You can use it as an additional luggage rack. Hilarious!
Hey Frank. Now that she’s all back together with cables and fuel lines and side covers, under the tank doesn’t look quite as sparse 🤓. You could still get a cannonball through there though. Next project is a step through, so it’ll be a more conventional looking bike..
Hey David! I thought I would share with you the (mostly) finished Puch Dart I had been working on for the last year! Your videos **especially** REALLY really helped motivate me to complete it especially when everything was in 1000 pieces and at times felt daunting. Anyway, here she is: facebook.com/groups/782673441746643/permalink/3104662256214405/ Thank you again for your videos! I couldn't really imagine doing this as a total tear down/rebuild without being able to reference your vids!
Damn Kelley! That things looks freakin awesome! I love the color. If she runs as good as she looks, then that thing is a keeper. Well done! Next time, film it so we can all watch 🤓

Amazed that you do not have more views, but damn i love it.
Thanks for learning me stuff on the other side of the planet aka Denmark. 😊
Hey thanks Joakim! My math tutor through high school was Danish. He was a hard ass, but could do calculus in his sleep. Tak igen for at se 😊
You do outstanding restoration work. Thumbs up!

Thanks! Surprised you’re still watching mopeds with your new Honda to play around with 😜
@@DavidFixesHisShit Can't run away from my origins LOL. Started on a moped, suffered with a moped and will always love mopeds xD
@@DavidFixesHisShit Plus I just love the chill style of your videos. :)

Hey just wanted to say I really like your videos! Relaxing and also really educational.
Greetings from a Dutch fan
Thanks Vince! Happy to have you watching!
Looking forward to it sir, catch you on the next one.
Lol, I love using the Dremel boxes to organize all the lil shit.
Perfect for jets for a bunch of different carbs!
Nice job Dave!! I love these bikes though sad thing is they're a little uncomfortable to ride.
then you're going to love the adjustment on the Peugeot mopeds, any luck finding a TSM model yet? good luck finding one.

Hey david. Any idea when the last part will come online? I'm waiting for it men love your youtube channel! Greetings from the netherlands. Bas
Heya Bas. Got it recorded, now I just have to get work to leave me alone long enough to edit! 😜
@@DavidFixesHisShit hurry up please i'm waiting to see it run 😁😁😉😊✌

Nah. Just to play around and check spark and for air leaks. As it turned out, the new jets came in plenty of time for the first start and ride.

cliffhanger! I can't wait to see her braapp! gorgeous bike!!

I'm not 100% sure what you are referring to. Perhaps the oil fill plug?
@@DavidFixesHisShit that's exactly what it is. I realized once I actually checked it out.

Some people are just a tease it’s just not fair lol.
Went out with the GoPro today, so now I just have to edit and then this one is all done. Phew.
