Ah fantastic ecosystem you’ve made there! How disappointing about your trip to South Africa and Namibia. I live in Cape Town, South Africa so when you find yourself in this part of the world, give me a shout and I can organize a tour showing you our unique wildlife and nature. So many tourists come to Cape Town to see table mountain and drink wine, while very few know that this area is one of the most biodiverse in the country. Give me a shout and I’ll show you around! Great video as always! 🤩

Interesting building series. Maybe try and recreate an Yukon Forest housing wolves, moose, bison and beavers. Reindeer could also be added onto it.

A South African coast line would be awesome, you could even slit it into the tropical Kwazulu Natal side (Indian Ocean) and the Western Cape (Atlantic Ocean) where the two oceans meet. I am definitely using the Californian sea lions as Cape Fur Seals in my South African zoo. Well done on a great build. Love the vids keep it up!

This is a very solid attempt with what is possible in PZ. Even though we have so many African animals the foliage never convincingly reminded of places in Africa I visited. There is a real challenge in making ¨empty¨ areas look interesting, in which creative games exceed the limits of alternative uses of pieces.
I will definitely use this as an example, but I feel there should have been more implied grass roots and low growth, as well as more bushes. This really would have created high contrast between greener areas on the riverbeds and drier areas near the rocks. I think I would have played with elevation a lot more too, also as a way to have trees and bushes grow between the cracks and shades.
In terms of animals, I would have left out the giraffe and gone for much larger populations of Gemsbok and Springbok. It's a shame the AI works as it does with herding not really existing, but elephants grouping together would have been a very charming sight.
    Looking forward to seeing more!

Hey, thanks for the analysis! I completely agree that it would look better with more shrub etc. The reference photos I used had hardly any and, as you say, it's really hard to make empty look good as you don't have the tiny cracks, pebbles etc that you get IRL. I should have added more gemsbok just roaming the map without worrying about keeping them in. The Serengeti is on the list of viewer's suggestions so maybe I will revisit an African build at some point.

    How?
    Also, love your videos, congrats!

    • @ZSHplays

Thanks OTakeshirr! I didn't change the grass texture, it's the standard texture for the north american desert map.
