This is amazing, i was imagining a future when all of animal's behaviors would be documented. Game developers then could incorporate those to their game and people could make their own animated BBC nature documentaries. Lol, is it too impossible?
No they didn't, however, I had deaths turned off to make it easier to film so the warthog was just 'severely injured' rather than dead. Don't know if they would have eaten him with that turned off. Maybe I'll change the setting and have a look!
@@ZSHplays from what I know they will only eat if their hunger status is higher importance than hunt status (only when they are starving or close they will eat immediately) From my experience, carnivores will continue to hunt until the prey is long out of radius so it gets really messy fast when it’s not organized and it’s not really spread out.
You should make a planet wolf spin-off, with Prehistoric Kingdom, a prehistoric zoo management game, you can make natural environments, there’s a LOT of prehistoric animals, like Mammoth, Tyrannosaurus, Saber Tooth Tiger’s, FREAKING Wooly Rhino, I just feel like you should do a planet wolf spin-off using prehistoric kingdom, anyways, Ciao!
Great concept! I've just discovered this series and I'm in love with it, I love the nature documentary cinematics at the end... I'd really love to build something like what you did for this series, maybe something Southeast Asia related...
Thanks! I have already done four episodes set in America - Flooded Forest, North America, Monument Valley & Twilight Forest, they’re in the playlist. Will definitely look at Southeast Asia one day!
@ZSHplays Not for long. With Planet Zoo being pro-conservation, they take their cue from the real world. With Colossal set to de-extinct Wooly Mammoth, Thylacine, Dodo Bird, plus a few others, it frames the how that complete dinosaur fossils are being scooped-up at auction, because the why of recovered soft tissue does occasionally happen. The when being the climate change of now, the where being a world destroyed by global boiling. The Anthropocene isn't the first epoch to cause a mass extinction event, but it may be the first to restock the planet, and simulators like Planet Zoo and Cities: Skylines 2 via AI are the only way we're going to conceptually prepare for a Jurassic World of our own making. I anticipate a dinosaur expansion pack coming within 3 to 5 years.
@@Nishkween Aha, well so far I've done North & South America, Africa, Arctic & Eurasia, check the playlist to see them all! Looks like we need to visit Australasia soon though!
I'm working on a safari map for a while, very detailed, very nice, no buildings, no animals yet. It's not finished, but it will probably never be. You want it for some video making? :)
Sounds great! Thanks for the offer but I prefer to make my own stuff. If you ever finish it though you can send it to me for a zoo tour! I'd love to check it out.
you should make a series about like the animals living in the wild and see the population growth of different prides population, and the death of some, you could even name them, have people recommend names in the comments it would be so nice and unique
That’s a great idea, unfortunately it’s not doable as the game isn’t designed to mix predators and herbivores so all the herbivores would be dead in about 5 minutes 😆
I really REALLY hope we have a blend of Planet Zoo 1, with a bit of Jurassic World combat mechanics for a Planet Zoo 2. I mean we are all nature lovers but also we want to see, "who wins, tiger vs lion", and maybe they could put a mechanic where it isn't always one or the other, factor in size of each animal, maturity. Give animals a combat rating as they battle and get wins or kills. A TRUE Sandbox mode. Have the animals hunt and kill only when hungry, and have PACK hunting. Have it where 3 or more lions or wolves can attack larger prey. Have them only attack large dangerous prey when they are extremely hungry and have them go after smaller prey if it's available. Go after large prey if their pride or pack is large and give the AI the ability to decide. This game would be unstoppable and unparalleled if they would do that.
True, although to be fair, it would be an enormous waste of resources in an already power-hungry game to have that kind of behaviour when it would be the last thing you would want in a zoo! Would make for an excellent alternate game though!
@@ZSHplays Well, maybe when Frontier will add all animals they want, we will get such behaviour update but... I'm not sure, watching discussions about ideas like that.
India is on the list. Just to give some perspective the list is currently at 25 suggestions (not counting those that have already been made) so I have a lot to get through!
Hey guys, I added the zoo file to the workshop! Have fun! steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2876643409
You should make a series
This is so amazing, it really shows how beautiful this game can be and its refreshing to see the animals in the natural habitats. Great job !
Thank you Daniela! I'm glad I achieved my aim!
Personally I would love to see an American pine forest sort of thing but In winter full of reindeer wolves and bison and of course other animals
There’s American temperate forest in the North America episode if you’ve not seen that? I winter forest would be cool though!
Im trying to make Alaska in planet zoo and its incredibly annoying how you cant turn off animal hunger in the sandbox settings..

I like how you create nature reserves instead of the traditional zoo.

One of the things I think Planet Zoo lacks is that animals doesn't eat grass, that would be perfect for this environment.
A few of them do like the horses but it would be great if more did!
