- A complete BBC-style nature documentary made entirely in Planet Zoo. I've spent the last 2 years building every continent - from Africa to Antarctica, this video features 50 animals in their natural environments across all 7 continents, sound-tracked by the beautiful music of JJ Ipsen. #planetzoo

"Planet Wild" would be a great concept for an upcoming Planet game I think, where you create wildlife reserves or something
I would LOVE that!
Sounds a little like the prototype of TerraNil I played.
Granted, you do not really deal with specific animals, and is more so centered around cleaning up a toxic wasteland, planting plants, and creating multiple habitats while balancing the money you have. It plays like a very hard puzzle game even on the game's easy difficulty.
There is a version of the game that is much more complex but that costs money, the prototype is free though and features rather charming pixelart in my opnion.
this gecko gets it!!! and their natural behaviour too, like pack of wolves hunting and then actually eating the kill and stuff like that, im sure guys at frontier are capable of such thing when their models go this hard
Yeah, and it would be so cool to see their animals behaving outside the restrictions of planet zoo's habitat and exhibit systems, like small lizards and snakes moving about freely, birds and fish populating the sky and water...
Would be amazing to just observe really
That would be amazing.
Dude this is probably the best planet zoo project I've seen, hands down. The sheer scale of what you have built is amazing, it looks like an actual nature documentary. New subscriber earned for sure
Wow, thanks!
All this was missing was David Attenborough narrating! You could seriously make a nature documentary using planet zoo! They have programed some great social interactions and behaviours and your work to make natural environments and scenic shots would make it easy. Was in awe over that wonderful slow pan down the waterfall at 1:30 and the sunset kangaroo dominance battle!
Haha thank you! He is my hero. That waterfall shot is one of my favourites!
Im leave near the Leopard land. It's actually looks pretty similar, but there's much more hills. Still looks beautiful, just like home❤️
Awesome! Thanks!
this is so beautifully made, well done!
Thank you!
Sad there was no San Bernadino episode this week but I really loved and truly felt touched when watching this video! Great job!!
Aw thank you! SBZ will be back next week, I'm working on it now.
I've had the thought of doing this but I just didn't have the patience, props to you for being able to, especially with keeping up with all the DLC animals that came out over the years lol
If you ever find the time to do another Planet Wild build, I'd love a Canadian one! Including the moose, beaver, some bears, maybe the reindeer/caribou, ect! :)
Otherwise, I'm excited I found your channel and can check out your more 'normal' builds too now lol
Awesome thanks for the suggestion! Enjoy the videos!
Hey Zshplays I was wondering if you could do the Okavango Delta, if you have Time tho like I don't mean like right now
Haha thanks for the suggestion, it's actually on the list already but time is not my friend!
this looks better than irl
Hah thanks!
I love this! It’s amazing how all these look so natural. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! Will do!
The continents are all soo realistic my favourite is the Africa continent mainly cause off the rhinos 😂
Thanks! We've seen quite a few Rhino recently 😁
Gorgeous
Thanks!
Phenomenal! I love this!
Thanks!
I wish I had the last 2 dlc to save my edits on hunters of the Kalahari
Aw shame
@@ZSHplays thank you for the empathy
That Bandhavgarh tiger reserve was beautiful I’m from India and it’s fantastic
Thanks!
i got so excitef at the south america part
and europe and north america
Awesome! South America & the Lion Hunt are my favourite parts.
@@ZSHplays being venezuelan i really enjoyed that part. the flooded forest was so cool
FINALLY THERE IS WILDEBEEST “I have CHORTLES!!”😊
They were the first new animal I added 😆
Can you do a planet wild on the great migration or anything else with wildebeest
Outstanding, great job!
Thanks!
I aspire to do what you do. One day I’ll figure it out for franchise mode. It’s so incredible.
Thanks!
This is insane keep working brother.
Thanks! Will do!
This is beautiful 😍✨
Thanks!
Wow, That’s cool
Thanks!
How did you make that giant log walkable/climable for the tiger?
It's a climbable item, don't need to do anything special with it
@@ZSHplays oh I missed that one then! Thanks!
Will we be getting San Bernardino Zoo back next week?
You will indeed, been working on it today!
Another reason i love this channle
Thanks!
Can you do the great wildebeest migration in serengeti national park in Tanzania
I'll add it to the list, thanks!
YESSSSSSSSS
@@ZSHplaysLETS GO
They need more artic/antartic animals
I'd love a rockhopper penguin
@ZSHplays Maybe some walrusis and more Arctic birds
Did you do Zealandia? Which is technically now the 8th continent.
Never heard of it 😆
@@ZSHplays 😮😮😮
This was wonderful! But why only 1 locale for Africa when other, smaller continents got 2 or 3?
There were actually 2 but I was unhappy with the majority of the cinematics from the Hoanib River Valley so I only used the opening shot
No luck catchin them swans then?
I couldn't possibly, they belong to the King 😁
2:12 forgot the Bushmans There
I have no idea what this means 😆
Didn't you see that your "Africa" is missing something? Desert and tropical forest. Desert is at the north half and tropical forest is right in the middle of Africa.
Also thank you for recreating Ukraine👍. Europe wouldn't be completed without amazing Ukrainian prairies.
I only have so much time 😆 If you want to see me build Tropical Africa then there is an African Forest in my San Bernardino Zoo series.
NOOOOOOOO NOT PUMBA!!!
Sorry 😁
@@ZSHplaysI wonder what warthog tastes like
nah cuz wheres canada LMAO
Hah, every continent not every country 😁
@@ZSHplays i saw ^^ but for north america, the only things included was the USA
It would be so awesome if PZ had real herd mechanics, the African plains would be sooo cool if the animals actually gathered together in a herd and ran around like that instead of just chaotically, but such an amazing work you put into this beautiful video. I really loved the European section a lot, amazing! 🎉
Yeah I agree, and thanks!
They should be able to do it. They have the pack feature aswell so they could expand on that I think?
I was thinking the the same thing!
@@Silkencira1710 I saw your reply on my comment and have to say your dog is cute! I also have a Silken Windhound 😂
I agree! That was my very first thought seeing Africa. Zoo Tycoon 2 had herd dynamics so I'm sure PZ can too!
I loved every second of this! Really reminds us how beautiful nature truly is. Also shows how cool Planet Zoo really is, with how natural the animals behave.
Thanks!
Dude…You’ve Really Outdone Yourself. Building An Accurate Model Of Pripyat Is Insane, And The Addition Of The Recently Reintroduced Przewalskis Horse There Was A Nice Touch.
Thanks!
You were very accurate with my country of Australia. Around the 1800’s, settlers brought in camels to Australia and the hump jockeys have been wilding out in the outback ever since.
Hump jockeys 😆
This gives me an idea, may or may not be possible but in one zoo terraform out each continent scaled way down and build exhibits the shape of different biomes inside the continents with oceans in between, for example the North American section would probably be 8-9 sections built into realistic shapes of those biomes in reality
Lovely idea!
Why am I crying?? This is so beautifully done ❤️
Hah! Thanks Sparrow 😁
For one of the next episodes, can you please recreate the Congo rainforest, the Everglades, or Patagonia? I think they would be really cool to see.
I've put them on the list, thanks!
If you ever do another one of these, especially if Frontier introduce any more New Zealand native birds into the game, I'd love to see you tackle an environment like Tongariro National Park.
I've put it on the list, thanks!
I just saw your other video on creating a Underwater Viewing Experience. These are incredible.
Great taste, patience, cunning use of tools and diligence. Alot to learn from this, thanks mate. Cheers
Thank you very much!
i love the implementation of pripyat, people think its an area thats like a baren wasteland where nothing can live but in fact, its one of the best places in europe for animals to live in... as if someone would forget to tell them radiation is bad haha
Haha, thanks!
This is such an amazing series, it's truly wonderful and inspiring in so many ways!
Thank you!
One thing I would be say would be cool is if PZ had herding mechanics and if there was more then 1-(however many depending on the animal) per group in one big habitat it would make like a spectate make group and the best male(s) would be kept to that group of females or just female (best females would make up main herd/group and the rest would make a like girl group)
Yeh that would be cool
I want a stampede behavior for blue wildebeest
So well done. Thank you for all the work, the concept and the effort.
I'm on the Xbox series X and I think I should buy this game, as it's so beautiful.
Thanks!
Alright next is planet universe
Hah, I'm not sure I have time for a whole universe 😁
@@ZSHplaysalso i wouldv loved an african rainforest with gorrilas and chimps
Damn, this all looks cool!~ keep it up ^_^
Thank you!
This is incredible! You're really showing how limitless your imagination is :)
Thank you so much!
You should make documentary about planet zoo that's gonna be really appreciated❤
How do you mean?
That is very ambitious. After 40 species, I think my computer is giving up 😅
Thanks! Most of these maps only have a handful of species on them
My 1# goal is to get a pc that is strong enough to play planet zoo, for now I'm stuck building them in minecraft also, Spectacular video! Your dedication and building skills are amazing:)
Thanks! Good luck!
i need some tips on this game. One thing i REALLY don’t understand is where to place the buildings for staff. my guests are always unhappy with them or the staff can’t reach them
Check out my Top 10 Tips for Franchise Mode video, there's a lot in there including a section on staff buildings
can you build the ardennes belgium in planet wild
I'll add it to the list!
@@ZSHplays thx
Absolutely stunning. Happy I clicked on this video 😭🥰
Thank you!
This is amazing ! You even added invasive species !!
Hah yup! Thanks!
Best Planet Wild video ever. I like the tiger in the Bandhavgarh National Reserve. Much better than, "Planet Zoo Animals in their Natural Habitat."
Thank you! Yeh I had a lot more footage and more time for this one, really pleased with it!
This looks like Planet Earth and I love it!! 😻
Thanks!
This actually looks like animal planet it’s not even funny
Thanks!
AMAZING!!! My fave is chernobyl.
Thanks!
Amazing loved this video and hopefully we will see more planet wild
Thanks! It was fun going back to it!
Amazingg. I’m sad that there weren’t painted dogs
Thanks!
Every now and then I forgot im watching a Planet zoo Video. It felt like some "Blue Planet" episodes! This is an amazing work!
Thanks!
This is truly beautiful! Is there a series where you build this? I just revisited this channel
Thanks! There is indeed, it's called Planet Wild, there's a playlist on the channel
This game is coming to console this month or next month when I get it I’m going to things like this thank you for this vid it inspired me
Have fun!
@@ZSHplays thxs
Please tell me ya turned predation off
Apart from the chase sequences, yes.
How did you build this?! because I would love to add you on discord and talk about this!😁
Check out my Planet Wild series, I show you how I did it all there. You can also join my discord!
Thanks for the help!@@ZSHplays
For north America you should of done a "Florida Everglades" one with the alligator. That would've been so cool !
It would! Reason I didn't is I already built one for my Wetlands Florida zoo! Search for the Alligator Swamp episode if you haven't seen it.
@@ZSHplays oh makes sense I'll sure check out your swamp video as I'm trying to recreate a Florida Everglades themed zoo enclosure in America 👍
I don’t have much time to play but whenever I watch these Videos, I am so glad that this game exists
Thanks!
Absolutely beautiful.
Thanks!
Hi can you give me the name of the songs pls thanks a lot.:)
They’re all from the 2nd PZ soundtrack or Sounds of Summer. Might be a couple of trailers in there as well
@@ZSHplays thanks:)
how can i get into your zoo
Most of the environments you see here are on the steam workshop, just search for me and you'll see them
It’s gorgeous…
Thank you!
the india part made me hungry for biriyani
really cool
Thanks!
bro this is one of the best things i've seen in planet zoo, it would be cool if i knew how to make an actual ecosystem
Thanks!
Lovely work, I am really quite amazed by your building skills. The only thing I would say is missing is a Planet Wild featuring the animals of Southeast Asia. I would love to see a recreation of the jungles of Borneo or Sumatra, with the orangutans, gibbons, Malayan tapirs, sun bears, binturongs, etc.
Fantastic job though, all of these were beautiful
It's on the list! Just don't have time to build much in this series now
Poor Pumba!
Hah sorry!
Frontier should just make maps like this for all continents so we can view animals in the wild. How many animals are visible could be dependent on how many animals you released.
You can grab most of these maps on my workshop if you like
Howdy, ZSH. Great idea for a video. The South America part was my favorite.
If you don't mind, could I possibly use some clips from this in a video I plan on making? (I'll credit you, of course)
Thanks DQ! Glad you enjoyed it! I'd rather you didn't use it in your own video to be honest, nothing personal but it took 2 years to put it together! You can download pretty much all the maps on the workshop though, why not film your own? That would be more fun anyway! 😁
Totally understand. I am almost done with my project anyway, but I then saw this and was fascinated.
But actually, if those maps are in the workshop, then yeah, I'll definitely check them out. Thanks
Hi ZHS, new to your channel but what I seen before is very good and that is why I have a big favor to ask. Nobody has ever done a video that could help thousands of players with the same problem. The problem is, yes, you show how to do it, but you are skilful, patient, and maybe you have a bit more time. me, and probably many other players, would love to use already uploaded amazing content. However, when I try to use this in my zoo, it never works. Mostly because the pathing is horrible and mostly due to restrictions. I play franchise only. I have every DLC, unlocked every single item, and researched all of them. Yet, I am still unable to use most of the items I downloaded from the workshop. If I'm lucky, and it's actually possible to do it, then I can't place them where I want, and it's impossible to place paths and barriers accurately.
What I would love you to do is to start a zoo and, using your stuff from the workshop or maybe others, create a zoo from many different blueprints. Show us how we can import them, how we can connect everything blend them nicely, what the restrictions are, and how to overcome those restrictions. Show how to edit existing blueprints, maintain the same style of the zoo, and what to avoid. Like I mentioned before, there are many tutorials on how to place a blueprint, maybe even one or two showing how to try to path them, but no one is showing how to combine this altogether. Some say use your imagination, be creative, but not everyone is good at this. I want to enjoy the game. I can't enjoy it with my level of creativity the way I would like to play.
Here is what I have in mind: start a new zoo with 40,000, like every zoo, then with just some cheap habitat and only essential stuff buildings, build up some reputation and cash, and then replace them with amazing creations. Make everything exactly like the authors of the blueprints wanted and combine them together. I hope you can respond to it, and maybe even agree to it, as that would allow me to play the game like I always wanted. I even got mods from Nexus that allow free placements, but it still is not working for me. Do you use mods? Maybe you could show us how to use them properly. Thanks :)
Thanks. I would not be good at making that video as I never use habitat blueprints! Apart from an aircon here, a bit of netting there I don't use blueprints. Sorry!
Ist comment omg!! This is probobly the greatest idea for a video ever!
Nearly! 😁 Thanks!
I think with this concept u just showed everyone that site B mode is indeed possible on planet zoo besides Jwe2 and Prehistoric kingdom
Indeed!
This is so cool! I've just started playing PZ & seeing this amazing creation makes me want to play & practise my building skill.
Go for it!
This is absolutly amazing and I loved every second of it! Really impressed what you did there. Great job and I hope we all can see even more of your builds in the future :)
Thanks!
I loved this video! All the detail was amazing. My favorite was the underwater forest! Absolutely amazing job!
Thank you so much!
This is so beautiful, really well done
Thanks!
Okay! I've started watcing these after catching up on San Bernadino Zoo. I am not disappointed :)
Awesome!
Fantastic job, proof that Planet Zoo can be more than just a zoo simulator. Best zoo game ever! Even more than ZT.
Thanks!
Funny fun fact about Norway: Norway is the country farthest north and we also own a small portion of Antarctica.
Yes indeed, I’m looking forward to seeing it
Wow! That was a great! Maybe you can blueprint them and make a zoo out of them!❤❤❤
Thanks! Most of the environment are on the workshop already, just search for my name
Bloody amazing!!!!!! ❤❤❤ i felt like i was watching a documentary!
Aw thank you!
It was one of the best videos that I've seen lately , but there przewalskii horses do not live in Ukraine they're natural habitat is Mongolia
They were extinct in the wild and have now been reintroduced to various places, one of which is the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone 😁
AMAZING! Great footage and edited like a Wildlife Documentary
Glad you think so!
Thx for adding capys to the rainforest!
No problem!
What is the song that plays under the showcase of Africa called?
Maputo Marshland
This is really beautiful! You probably already know but there are a ton of really well-made species mods for Planet Zoo that add a lot of diversity to the game, although I totally understand if you don't use them on principle.
Thanks! I don't use mods although it's not really principle that stops me, I just enjoy the creativity of working with what the game gives you. And I like that I've never lost a zoo 😆
@@ZSHplays fair enough! I have no where near enough commitment to make a zoo for more than a week or so, I just use them for more diversity when I do stuff like making ecosystems like in the video
These are so incredibly accurate and amazing!
Also, if there was an animal to be added to planet zoo, which one would you like added?
Mines probably coyote or a sable pine marten lol
Thanks! A Pine Marten would be great actually! I want tamarins/marmosets myself
@@ZSHplays ofc! And that’s awesome both those would be great additions to the game :)
it is very beautiful, but i am maybe stupid, but why are there camels in australia
Dromedaries have lived wild in Australia for over 100 years now, they were introduced by settlors. Definitely not a classic Australian animal but I liked the imagery of them walking through the desert.
