      @@jackemerson1171 There is no magic solution as Jon rightly said and we hear you on the confusion front. All we can say with confidence is that we will never sacrifice our principles, give wild marketing claims and release products we dont believe in. The detailing community is blessed with real good people who review the products, give factual evidence on their findings and give everyone enough information to make informed buying decisions. Forensic Detailing, Paul Dolden Details, Apex Detailing, Auto Detailing Podcast and Obsessed Garage. There are up and coming channels like Obsessive Car Detailer, Specky, Goose who have great content that educate and dispel some myths.
      We hope some day you do us the honor of purchasing our products and give us feedback good or bad. If its bad then we go back to drawing board and improve with future versions, if its good then we all win :)

    I love this stuff. It’s great deep cleaning abilities leave the perfect base for either further decontamination or fresh protection. I don’t always want or need to clay because after claying you need to polish. Zero followed by a fallout remover will get the car decontaminated sufficiently for me in most scenarios.

    I have had some for a while now, my main use is a wheel cleaner, mixed in a sprayer it works very well on coated wheels. I tried it on some relatively new Menzeran Power Lock and as most people say it will not strip new products. I used it on the weekend on a three year old car that never gets washed and it cleaned it really well.

    I bought this out of UK and shipped it to AUS, I really like this for decon washing my ceramic coated cars. I double up with the foam presoak (1:10 feels like enough) and contact wash, and it works so well, I’ve found I’m not having to reach for tarx either. I use it when I haven’t been able to wash the car for a couple months and it’s got baked on wet road grime - on my white daily the clear bra on skirts tends to yellow behind front wheel from road oils driving in rain, this decon wash seems to restore the clarity back as well, and I find I’m not having to use an abrasive cleaner

  • @jc7879

    Sounds interesting. At present I use Clean Slate and it does a good job for a strip wash. I think BH Auto Foam is also good for that purpose too as it isn’t ph neutral. I’m led to believe it more alkaline on the ph scale.

    • @jackemerson1171

      I've heard mixed reviews on Clean Slate- how do you apply it ? Or how many rounds of application?

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      you cant gauge much about how a product strips based on it not being PH neutral (or based on its PH alone). It can give you a tiny hint perhaps.. but you could have a PH8 formulation that could attack protection more than a PH 12 one for example.

    • @jc7879
      @jc7879 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jackemerson1171 good question. There are a few ways you can apply it. 1) Via snow foam lance, 2) use it via your normal 2 bucket method. I use it via the normal 2 bucket method and it has always worked well for me. The key here is that your protection needs to be old. On freshly protected paint, one application will not be enough and you would probably need to go over it multiple times. These strip wash products are aimed at older protection, in my opinion I.e. a wax that has been on for say 3/4 months etc.

      Hi Derek, if you have a system that works for you we would always encourage people to stick to that and master it. One of the main uses for /ZERO: Decon Shampoo is to remove bonded contaminants that get bonded to the car over period of months which avoids the use of claying. This is a really key point as you dont want to be machine polishing your car every 6-12 months if you can avoid it and kept the clear coat swirl/scratch free. Another key point is avoiding the use of lots of different chemicals in a multistage decon (fallout remover, waterspot removers, tar removers, strong wheel cleaners, apcs etc...) - this is very much a process accelerator and saves time.

As contaminants don't get to settle for more than a week on my trucks' bodywork I don't get a build up. Its a lot like when Jon does his bits on the longevity of a product, its all relevant to some but as everything gets done every Sunday between 0900 and 1700hrs its only got to last 7 days in my book.
      I would really like to see a review of your wheel cleaner, the disks and pads were replaced a couple of months ago and are blacking up the wheels and tyres big time. Even the tarmac where I wash them is beginning to stain with the amount of iron being washed off, I've resorted to hand scrubbing each wheel every week.

    As this product doesn’t claim to remove tar or iron what’s the difference between this and me adding Surfex HD to my Auto Wash?

    • @GarageTherapyOfficial
      @GarageTherapyOfficial 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Totally different level of cleaning power using this method. One of the main advantages is the lubrication system so you do not inflict damage whilst clearing the contaminants. It terms of tar removal, as it is extremely strong product you will be surprised how effective it can be but yes we do not claim this to be a tar remover or iron remover, totally different chemistry.

      Hi! Absolutely not, different types of surfactants and strength/concentration of product is no where near the same. We recommend buying PVD Magazine, they have done some excellent reviews and articles on different types of surfactants.
