Well done for persevering 😅 I have this trouble almost every time I decide to make something on my machine, you made me laugh so much, my exact same reaction. Makes me want to give up and chuck the sewing machine out the window 😂 usually I go off and regroup, then eventually get it done like you. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🤗🌈🌾
When your stitching looks all looped and bunched up on the bottom, The top tension is the problem. Most times by far it's not threaded correctly. An easy way to test it would be to lower the pressure foot without the needle thread under it. Then just pull on the needle thread. It should have strong resistance. If it pulls through easily, you have no tension. Make sure your needle thread is between the 2 shinny metal disc in the tension. Also be sure you thread the machine with the pressure foot lifted.
Oh God, I feel your pain: my machine had the same problem and no amount of cleaning, oiling, changing needles or rethreading the bobbing solved it... as a new sewist I thought I had done sth wrong, so I ended taking it to be serviced: best thing ever, apparently it had a manufacturing problem...
tips for fixing bunched up thread: check your tension (top and bottom), clean your machine, oil your machine, change your needle, check if the bobbin is in correctly and the thread isn't caught in it, when you start sewing make sure both threads are a good ways away from your stitching site so they dont get pulled in, and don't start sewing too quickly, that can mess it up as well
Late to the party here. I used to have a Singer Simple before I upgraded to my current Brother. I had huge issues with tension with the Singer and the only thing that would get it sewing nicely again was a professional service. I also found I had to use Singer branded needles with it otherwise it would have a meltdown. Anyway, not that helpful, but thought I’d share!
I used the ones that came with my machine. I just took it to get serviced and the person at the store said the Singer Heavy Duty has a lot of problems 🥲
I’m in the process of following this same pattern and my machine is giving me problems too.. it definitely seems like the issue is jammed up around the bobbin area!
Hi! I really love my local fabric store if you have one, they tend to have classes and a cute community. Also online paternos for some TH-camrs can be a fun place too!

Thank you for the tip! I’ll make sure to try this next time.

right! I’m glad the servicing worked out!

Thanks for the tips!
it turned out so cute!! the reversible strap is such a great idea
Thank you! Literally could not have done it without the sewing store community 👌🏻
the bag is absolutely adorable (also your editing is phenomenal wow!)
Thank you!
love the energy and the bag came out soo good!! keep the videos coming!
hi that top stitch on the strap tab is an edge stitch which is 1/8" or sometimes 1/16"-1/8", yours looks good!
Thank you!!!!
Your bag looks so good! Well done 🎉
Thank you!!!
Cute bag, I love the cowboy fabric. Great job! Best wishes for your channel ❤️💐
Thank you!!!
When your thread nests like that, you automatically think it's the bobbin, but it's threaded wrong. Give that a try. Love your video
Thank you! @@kimwolfe1375

Thank you! I struggled with my singer, I’ve been enjoying my Janome a lot though :)
Do you have the correct bobbins for your machine?
I used the ones that came with my machine. I just took it to get serviced and the person at the store said the Singer Heavy Duty has a lot of problems 🥲
Check your bobbin. Get a new one. And then mine does it when I don’t hold my threads when I start to stitch
what size pattern did you use from blackbird fabrics?:)
Hi! I made a medium size bag :)
Skipping is usually needle! Old or wrong type
Thank you!!
I feel like most times my machine is giving me trouble the problem is the bobbin. Which is annoying but an easy fix at least
Do you usually have to re-thread itv
I’m in the process of following this same pattern and my machine is giving me problems too.. it definitely seems like the issue is jammed up around the bobbin area!
Very pretty 😀
Thank you!
You need to ditch that machine! The BEST thing I’ve ever done for my sewing was ditch singer and pick up a vintage Bernina from the 90s!
I did! I got a Janome and I love it 😍
Love that bag and the fabric, where did you purchase it?
Thank you! I got the fabric from a thrifted button down and a local fabric store (Needles Studio, CA).
can you suggest some sewing community to join?

Ficou top, muito linda 🧡❤️🩷💛👏👏👏👏
For flipping the strap inside out - next time use a knitting needle, wooden spoon or even stick of the broomstick. So. much. faster!
Thank you!! Will def try that next time!
It's fine.
I love it❤
Thank you!
Change your needle.
You shouldn't use metal bobbins in that machine
