Trekking Rajgad During Monsoon Season

- What is it like climbing a steep mountain in the rain? AMAZING!
This was one of the best experiences I've ever had travelling. The forts at Rajgad in Pune are breathtaking during monsoon season when the rain makes the mountains green and the local climbers trek to experience their heritage.
Come on this journey with me as I meet new friends along the way!

Raigad is a captivating destination that offers a perfect blend of history, architecture, and natural beauty. The trek to the fort, the panoramic views, and the well-preserved structures make it a must-visit for history enthusiasts, nature lovers, and adventure seekers. Visiting Raigad is not only an opportunity to immerse yourself in the legacy of the Maratha Empire but also a chance to appreciate the stunning landscapes and create lasting memories.

It felt like heaven being in the clouds! One of my favorite memories ever
You have been to one of the most sacred and historic places in the world. You need to read history of this fort . Some amazing thing have happened here during Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj era. HE IS THE HERO OF MAHARASHTRA
I have been enjoying reading about the history of the Maratha empire, super interesting. I definitely felt how special it was when I trekked to the top of the fort.
He is not only the hero of Maharashtra he is the hero of full INDIA..
@@EdVenturesVlog CHHRAPATHI SHIVAJI MAHARAJ said that he is not making Marath Empire.. he said he is making HINDVI SWARAJ..
@@vipulshinde088 Oh that's interesting. So his intention was to rule all of India. I definitely need to dive deeper into the history of India. It's so interesting to learn about, such a rich and long history.

It was one of my most treasured experiences I've ever had.
There are more than 300 similar places in Maharashtra... You can visit!

I'd love to visit as many as possible in the future!
Thank you so much for coming......today is birthday of maharaj👑
I loved my time there! Ah happy birthday to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj!
Really appreciate your efforts to know the indian culture that too with learning Indian languages... I love to travel the world ...
Thanks, I am still learning. I also love travelling the world.
You are legend man. I watch some foreigners travel vlogs but no one visit these places in India. Just travel in few famous cities, eat street food and voilà "this is India vlog"
I feel sad when more than 85% of India is rural/village area. Less people, slow life, beautiful nature, humble people and most of all Indian culture.
Just cities don't represent India. Places like these does and more than 350+ forts are in Maharashtra state. We call them GHAD/KILLA in marathi but totally different structure than what you imagine by saying a "Fort".
I personally really appreciate and respect you for visiting this place and experience what really close to our heart.
Well I forgot.

Wow I really loved your vlog
Most foreigners visit Rajasthan and Taj Mahal but this place is truly amazing ❤️
Thank you! I was living in Pune at the time so Rajgad was close by and I'm glad I went! It was an amazing experience, and not overly touristy. To be honest, while I loved the Taj Mahal and thought it was amazing, the one thing that really annoyed me was the tourist aspect of the place. There were people everywhere constantly trying to sell you things, take you places and it was SO crowded.
Going to Rajgad felt more natural and it was a lot more relaxing and refreshing to be out in nature like that. The people I met along the way trekking were so nice and had such a lovely spirit of friendliness and welcoming to them.
@@EdVenturesVlog If you were in Pune then you must have visited Sinhgad Fort 25 KM away from Pune. There is Hindi movie named - Tanaji which is based on fight at this fort. Also there are many hidden places like Harishchandra Gad, Harihar gad, Rajgad & many more. There are 300+ such forts. Some fort are built in Sea as well. These places are for real adventurers, gives you thriller experience. Lot of people fear to go here. But the real beauty of Maharashtra lies here. Congrats 🎉 that you explored one of this place and showed it to the world.
@@vikasmalkar6675 Thanks! Yeah I definitely want to explore more forts next time I'm there, and I will certainly make more vlogs. Next time I hope to make even better vlogs in Pune! Rajgad was first capital of maratha empire it was won in the year 1645-46
It has 3 extended stretch like fortifications called "Machi" In native language, for more perspective of fort & it's stronghold see drone footage. History is it was built, like financial part was handled by money found on nearby fort of Torna. Capital then shifted to Raigad which is in Konkan region of Western Ghats. You shoot this video on way to main Entrance. Complete trek will take almost 2 days to see everypart.
Very interesting! Yeah I didn't see all the forts in this area but maybe one day I'll go back and do them all!

@@EdVenturesVlog Its my pleasure to see you here in our pride(in our forts)... I am waiting to see you here soon !!!
It was the first captial of Swarajya, hence it's importance over the other forts.
Oh very interesting!
@@EdVenturesVlog The first captial for 25 years and then it got shifted to Raigad after this. You should visit Raigad. Raigad is a standalone fort which is not connected to any other neighbouring mountain range. Hence it could also function as a watch tower in a way as the visibility is clear from the top in all the directions.
