@EdVenturesVlog don't say that you can and you will, this is how we can take inspiration from great Marathas they were very few in numbers like around 20,000 still they were able to defeat Mughals with 8,00,000 multiple times so we just need to take efforts I am proud to be a maratha and I feel honour to introduce myself for being from great chatrapati shivaji maharaj bloodline ❤️🚩

It felt like heaven being in the clouds! One of my favorite memories ever
Hi! Ed, your new subscriber here. So, i was just watching you India related videos and got to know that you are vegetarian. I am also a vegetarian. I was born in India, I'm a Punjabi. I moved to the U.S when i was 13 years old. I remember how hard it was for me, being a only vegetarian there. but since, I like other cultures and studying other languages, I adjusted pretty fast. At the moment along with English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, I speak Korean fluently and I am studying Japanese right now. I remember, in early 2010's, I also discovered Japanese prank shows and fell in love with them. It was a show called "Gaki no Tsuaki" where one would get finished if they laughed. I rediscovered Korean drama at the same time, and still watch them. I love watching anime's too. I also wanna learn Chinese, but i feel it would the most difficult language to learn. You are lucky, you got to travel to all the countries you wanted to travel to. I wish, I could go to Korea and Japan too. but being a girl, i am too scared to travel alone and also, my parents would never let me (even though, i am in my late 20's lol). Also, how come i never meet people (specially a guy) who likes the same things that i like in real life lol. One of the reason, i am single is that, i don't want to date or marry a guy who eats meat. But it's so hard to find guys who are vegetarian. but it's nice seeing people like you on internet, it gives me hope. anyways, i hope your channel grows and best of luck :)
Thanks so much for your kind comment! I hope you continue to enjoy my videos. It means so much to hear someone else shares my interests! Wishing you all the best, I know you'll get to travel someday! How did you learn Korean?
@ So, back in India, when I was about 7-8 years old, around 2003- 2004 a Korean show called “Ghar ka chirag” would air on the Indian national channel. My entire family and other people in the town also enjoyed that show. Along with that show, emperor of the sea and movies like the host, would air often on Indian tv. At that time, I didn’t know those shows and movies were Korean. It was the time, when we didn’t had internet and social media, specifically in our small town, people didn’t even had computers. Later, when I was in the U.S (2011) two of my friends introduced me to K- dramas and I was like “what’s that, never heard of it.” One of my friend, Emily gave me a list of k drama to watch. When I went home went to the website they gave me to watch the drama, suddenly I thought, “ wait a minute, are these the kind of shows I used to watch back home,” I was surprised at the fact that these shows were popular in America too. Later along with the Japanese reality shows, I started watching Korean reality shows, specifically “Running man” it’s my favorite Korean reality show. And that’s where my journey started with learning about Korean culture and language. Ed, do still learn hindi? Or any other language? I kinda want to also learn Arabic and Turkish. I recently discovered Turkish shows. They are fun to watch.
Oh that's awesome! I am still learning Hindi, but haven't had as much time to devote to it as I used to. I hope to be able to focus on it again and go back to India soon! Did you take any formal Korean lessons or you became fluent just from watching shows??? That's some serious dedication. Im not fluent in Chinese yet even though I've been learning it formally for almost 2 decades and living in China twice! 😵 You said you haven't been to other countries besides India and the U.S.A. right? I think you should try to go on a trip to a new country with some trusted friends if you can! I know you'd love it.
@@EdVenturesVlog So, I actually took 2 Korean language classes in 2016, when I was in university. But before that, I was already use to listening to the language, its flow and nuances. I could speak like simple phrases and sing along some of the songs. After, taking the classes, I learned how to read and write Korean. And In my free time, I learned Korean on Duolingo. Because I really wanted to speak Korean, I would would even think in Korean. You know how sometimes we think or talk to ourselves in our mind, I would do that entire process in Korean. And it became such a habit, that sometimes, when I’m talking in Punjabi, I would suddenly blurt out Korean words. I still have trouble switching gears from one language to another😆. And also, like I said I think Chinese is one of the most difficult language to learn, so don’t bad😔. And yesss!!! I really wanna travel and go see the world. I don’t know, when I’ll be able to do it. And I’m such an introvert, like I have no friends. the only time I leave home is, when I need to go to work. But honestly, end of this year or spring of next year, with little courage, I’m thinking of going to Japan, because I think Japan would be safe for solo female travelers. What do you think Ed? Since you have experience traveling, do you think it’s a good idea?
I think so, Japan is one of the safest countries to visit, but I'd still maybe go with a friend, even if that means meeting another girl online who's also interested in travelling to Japan and video chatting with her to make sure she's real lol. There's a lot of Facebook groups, discord groups, etc. for solo travellers. Maybe make a post on Subtle Asian Travel on facebook to introduce yourself! You can also make friends through language exchange websites, but just don't give out personal info. Or, what I might recommend is a month-long language course in another country. That way you can have a community and adults who are responsible for you and you'll make friends and experience the country together through the program. I've made some of the best friends in my life that way. :) I know what you mean about thinking in another language. Sometimes when I'm speaking Spanish or Hindi and I can't think of a word, the Chinese word comes out automatically because I'm more used to that language haha
❤
Thanks for the ❤️!
