I'm 36 I still can't stay away from bass. I've got a single 12 inch alpine type r which is more than loud enough for me. I've tried going down the shallow mount sub route they just don't go low like I want I had the Rockford fosgate p3 and audison. If I was you I would go with a single 10 it will save you a lot of space and give decent bass
lol we same age and think alike bro. Yes I agree these don't go as low as a bigger box, ive got a 10' jl audio micro sub that I may change to further down the line.
Good question mate, its okay actually. Put it this way you can tell there is a bass enhancement over stock system, its no where near a proper single 12" sub for example.

I was about to get this but they have vibe slick 10 underseat sub might be a bit better
Slick is usually higher quality, I would just double check what the stats are between the two and decide from there.
