Would’ve been useful before 2017, now there’s Free chargers all over America, and incredibly fast 400V DC charging- giving you 150-350+ miles per hour of charging- while still being cheaper than the cheapest gasoline. They’re every 40miles, multiple networks, on most Interstate highways (some even Free). I just did an impromptu unplanned roadtrip from Northern CA to Oklahoma in 2.5 days in a Kia Niro EV with only 239miles and 77kW DC charging. Took I-40 almost the whole way. Charged almost exclusively at Walmart-which have Electrify America stations in their parking lots. I never charged for more than 15 to 20 minutes each Walmart stop by coing from 35-60% state of charge. The trick is to stop more frequently, for less time, to get there quicker, with better piece of mind. Also 800V charging is already being implemented, meaning 15min 10-80% charging will be the new standard in just a few years. Which also means, 35 to 60% charging will be quicker than filling up the gas tank. Have fun changing oil & getting ripped off by gas prices with this Shark….

Ill probably buy the Hybrid, and then after I realise the battery will be fine, then Ill buy the full EV version. I dont need to go 500ks away from a charger. And If I do, Ill take a Gennie and some solar panels or one of those elctric bikes that can work as a generator, or some Hyrdogen or something
Can only tow 5500lbs? That’s major fail for BYD . ford f150 can tow over twice as much at 13000 lbs. …heck even Ford ranger can tow 7500 lbs. and $54K for pickup in Mexico. 😂. BYD leave pickups to experts.
