Loved the video, Dan. I'm learning how to weld and you've taught me quite a bit. You, Dirt Lifestyle, JK Gear and Gadgets, and Tim Welds are my go-to channels for learning welding, fab, and various 4x4 mods. Thanks for putting this out. Just wanted to let you know that your work IS appreciated and I can't wait for more.
@FlawedOffroad the way I see it, you're more of an every man, like myself, who can't afford the crazy expensive equipment those guys have and don't have massive space to do all of this in (I live in a trailer park, for crying out loud). I can relate to you more than them. TH-cam is their jobs. Nothing against them, but just like me, you have a regular job that funds your projects.
@@theezeelife292 true true. When I started this venture I had hoped it would do better and I could make it my job. and if someday it gets popular enough for that to happen, I can promise I will still be the same everyman. Maybe with some better equipment or a better space even. The tools I have amassed over the years, while not the best, is still more than your average person/hobbyist has laying around. Somewhere there's an invisible line that creators cross that suddenly they are less relatable. whether its jealousy or success based, who knows. I want this to be more successful, without crossing that line haha. I'm way too redneck to ever be fancy and uppity, and showing my screw ups is half the point of my videos. Always appreciate the support my dude.
Hey I’m an MVP!!😅 I love watching fab work no matter how long it takes. It’s all the little details. Scraping is where it’s at, metal is soo expensive. Nice job.
Thanks! I always keep an eye out for people throwing out good used metal, and sometimes I find some cheap material on marketplace also. All the square tube came from a guy that salvages stuff old factories/businesses and sells the stuff cheap. I traded for the tube.
Hi Dan. Thanks for another fabrication video. I appreciate you showing the cuts and what you cut with. I am still working with an angle grinder. Watching others videos where they run to the plasma table really makes me jealous. Thanks for your time and explaining the process.
I started doing this kind of work with next to no tools. Over the years instead of buying a nice car or fancy stuff, I spend money on tools. Someday I will have a small plasma table but I will probably only make things on it that need to be precise. Little quick stuff will still be faster to do by hand.
@@buckchase1 thanks. I wasn’t going for looks I was sort of speeding through it and fighting the elements but it looks alright. If I slow down and focus I can lay some pretty decent caterpillars
Honestly I've had great luck with the machines. The gun on the 250 pro is the same as the tweco 2 I believe, rated for 250 amp. They just copied a bad design imo. Set the gun down too hard and the plastic thing inside breaks and causes those issues. Id rather use the 150 amp gun on my other yeswelder as the nozzle just threads straight on. but its not rated for as much current.
Nice and yes I never do the same thing twice as same. And my friend had did his finds little different they are skateboarders. So his fenders on the trailer are like a ramp half bump. If you seen a hip like with like a rounded half bump that what his fenders are neat looking but a lot of welding. I’d rather build yours easier
Yeah me too, even if they frustrate me. Just about everything that could have went wrong, did. Broken consumables, ran out of gas, ran out of wire, blew up my air compressor. Its the way it goes!
Im cheap when I dont have to be, but have no problem spending all extra funds on good parts and tools when needed haha. Thanks for checkin out my video!

Nice work! I scrap together stuff as much as possible too. I think yes welder is junk after going through a couple of their machines.

I'm a function over form kinda guy on most things anyway
I'm ok with projects on the cheap that take longer to finish than estimated.

I do the same thing. I don't like to buy things, he I can fix it or make something work.
Steel has gotten so outrageous. I did have to buy the 1/8" diamond plate for the skins and that was $100 I or a little more just for 2 pieces, 9"x8'!
That grinder just needs new brushes
