I admire of how Marty continues to call the company Gotway, but not begode. The previous name was much better and the logo looks nicer too. Marty is the best! 🙂

Hey Marty these battery packs are the custom Samsung packs that Ewheels uses. They come with their own buzzers for battery temp warnings.

Hi Marty, 31:15, minor point, it has Extreme Bull branding on the pedal magnets but there was Gotway branding on the LCD screen. No bull, lol. Can't stop with that

Was riding the commander the weekend with Afeez Kay great battery he had the toque version and I had me new EXN mss 3150wh what a great ride we had

So far I like it! The sharp handles are an easy fix with some neoprene or foam pad cutouts & I love the rain 'cover' concept. If human have rain jackets, why not wheels. Now for some riding/handling impressions & if possible, a comparo of how this rides vis a vis the Sherman esp since they share many similarities. I think you may have the 1st NA Commander, at least on YT vid. Thanks for the quick vid Marty 🤘

I haven't watched the video yet but I have to say that I got excited like a kid in a candy store when I saw that you posted this video! I'm so excited about the new wheels! hehe!
I was hoping for better water proofing and more attention to detail. Sharp handles, unreadable display (why even bother), power button right in the worst position for water exposure and no water proofing around circuit board is quite a disappointment. In my opinion bigger wider foot pedals are a negative not a positive. On single track wider is not better. But overall improvement for Gotway. I guess if a company keeps changing there name, Its a good indication of intention and quality. The range potential of this wheel is so huge. If the wheel was weather proof, a person could set out on full day adventures with no worry of what weather could develop. An adventure wheel with this range, weather proofing is non negotiable. I hope the S20 and Abram blow our mind. Im sure the commander with perform greatly as Gotways do.
yeah its a nice wheel otherwise, your reviews are always exciting and informative between you chooch tech and speedy feet you guys got me into this sport. keep up the great work looking forward to the range test review lets see how the commander it holds up!

So everyone is calling this a Begode wheel, but it's Extreme Bull, not Begode. I get that it has alot of Begode parts, but the mechanics and electronics (the bulk of a wheel) isn't Begode, it's Extreme Bull, so what gives? 🤔

The shell design is Extreme Bull. The motor, electronics, and firmware are "Gotway". I'm under no legal obligations to call it anything, so I choose Gotway :-)

I didn't know EB only did the shell. Well then that's more a Gotway wheel than Extreme Bull. If I took a VW bug and just put a Ferrari frame around it (somehow), it's still a VW. 😂
i wonder with that design what the seat is going to look like and how they will implement it.

Great teardown if I could afford the commander and a S20 I would buy them both would love the range but I defintly want 126V wheel. "can anyone hear that high pitch noise every time the wheel is on"

V11 Spiked pedals are 250mm x 125mm (9.84 Inch x 4.92 Inch)
So now I'm curious. What is the size of the Commander pedals.
Awesome feedback and close ups of the wheel. I must say I was hoping that the two speakers was bright rear lights and a bit better weatherproofing on the top but as you say you can just fit a show cap style cover for when it really rains. The pros is the side and top tyre clearance that I could see so getting rid of mud and stuff would be easy. Tyre is awesome and trolley is in the middle and easy to operate same as the Sherman. I like the flat sides so people can fit pad if they like and the pedals looks great out the box. Allot of good on this wheel. Oh and they should have used a better screen. Less information and clearer is better than allot of info that you cannot see.
Various negatives for sure but in the big picture I really like this wheel

Now I'm curious if they did the V12 heatsink trick. Where the heatsink is using the air stream in between the tire channel, and is exposed above the tire on the inside (English hard 😆)
If you shine a light in between the tire can you see the metal heat sink?
As I pointed out early in the video, there is no exposed heat sink (also like all earlier KingSong wheels) within the tire well
I think I need to install the Commander pedals on my other wheels 🙂

A different company and they want a slice of the pie. But why would someone buy a Commander? Watch a later video of mine, but this has more power and probably more range.
KingSong 20X due December 2022. 3500 watt Hollow motor Peak 7300 watts, 126v, 3400Wh battery, 20" wheel, Smart BMS, HST (Hall sensor less technology), CPT (Cutout Prevention Technology), limited to 52mph. Called the Cheetah. hehe im just guessing....
Good quality but needs better waterproofing on the top. But overall nice..

Once you learn, adapting to any wheel is fairly easy. So I'm sure you'll love the Abrams. Good luck and enjoy all the fun in your future :-)

I like opening up a new box
Power wires appear to be 14awg. They say 14awg on them. You can see it on the vid. Also,looks like there is a small computer fan at the back side where those tiny leads run to. The part that has the QR code on it.
I'm afraid that you are incorrect regards the 14awg wiring. You are looking at the battery wires. What the community cares about is the gauge of the motor wires. Those are 12-gauge. Battery wires never melt. Motors do :-)
Yes, there is a fan under the control board.

Hmmmm, anyone thinking if it’s possible to transplant a Commander control board and motor into an existing Sherman? Since they all have the standard axles.
Wonder if anyone can comment on the BMS connections to the boards and the communications going on between them.
Typical Gotway... So many of the details don't make sense and yet another name for a product that is undeniably made by the same people. Thanks for the great video Marty!
The nub that has the pedal magnet in it looks like it would hurt your ankle.
I haven't felt it so I think that's a non-issue (for my feet anyway)

With that many batteries, Encasing them like the V11 would of been ideal for better waterproofing. Looks very cookie cut to get it out quick, do not trust this around water, looks like the Hero is gonna be the better option.
I don't trust any wheel with water.

Careful running fingers and hands over the metallic lettering; I cut my finger on the tip of the ‘k’ on my new Nikola. Nothing serious but a stingy bloody little cut it caused. 🙏🏼🧘⚡️🔋🛸☮️🔌

Definitely reverse engineering, but as long as we're moving forward the means seem justified.

Such a pathetic attempt to mimic the Sherman - I don't see any advantages, why would anyone buy this wheel?
Is anyone fooled by this attempt to distance themselves from the Gotway brand name?
ps: another Gotway caught fire in NYC recently, it wasn't even charging, it destroyed the dude's apartment
This wheel is better than the Sherman. Haven't you noticed almost all high performance riders are on Gotway wheels?
The reason someone might want a Commander instead of a Sherman is for the longer range and a peppier wheel
@@ElectricUnicycles It's a minor difference in battery, and the larger/peppier motor may end up using more battery and making the range difference insignificant. It's an ugly unoriginal wheel that was created out of desperation. The Sherman and the Abrams will sell 10x more than this knockoff, as will the S20. Gotway is a dying empire no matter how many times they change their name.
that looks like a major MAJOR no go no proper waterproofing they never learn and shade copy they Sherman damn. to cough up that amount of money to cry in the rain :-(
