As always you are open and totally honest in your Vlogs and your honesty helped me enormously when applying on the TLS website as I found the site very difficult to use and I could have happily threw my computer and myself through a window in sheer anger and frustration and this was when I went looking on TH-cam for help and found you and Leon. You made me realise it wasn’t my age or lack of internet skills that was at fault but the TLS site itself so I thank you for that ( and so does my husband who thought I’d lost the plot 😂) . We will continue to follow you and wish you every luck in your life and careers in France . Xx

Thanks for commenting! The admin is overwhelming but my advice is always to take it one step at a time. Sometimes seeing a process as one big operation makes it more difficult. Also CHAT GPT is my friend… anything I’m not sure about I’ll copy and paste into it and ask it to explain to me what it means. Pure gold. So don’t worry 😉 Thanks for watching! 🥰
Started following you a few weeks ago on recommendation of Rob and Lisa of Escape to France Charante. Caught up now. Very well done so pleased for you. Coincidentally I live in Kippax so we may have seen you at The Springs as we go most days to Caffè Nero….look forward to to your life over there. We have a Motorhome so visit France each year. I could bring more far rascals next summer if you have electric hookup….ha ha. All the very best. Well done. We are mid 60s and retired and have missed the boat thanks to you know what…good on you both.
That’s amazing! We know Kippax well! My family live in Garforth so when we visit the U.K., we’re always in that neck of the woods. It such a shame that the French dream seems out of reach for so many. The rules are so stringent now, the whole process is such a headache. Even if I knew the outcome that we would get our visas, I don’t know that we would have gone through it 😰 But that’s because we haven’t properly “lived” here yet. Lots of happy memories to be made so I’m sure eventually we will feel it was all worth it but my word! What a headache 🤕 I told my brother about your offer of bringing fat rascals down and we’re up for it! When shall we arrange the hand over??? 🤣🤣🤣
The stress of applying for a visa looks so daunting, it must be discouraging many people who have to go this process. The vlogs you make will hopefully help. Congratulations to you both, the pressure you went through is finally over, you can now live the dream, well done!! P.s. Do you have the contact details of the hand holder. I'd still go for filling the gas tank, €1600 doesn't sound bad. That was interesting about the forms you had to complete and will help others. You could set up as a consultant 🤩
You won’t be eligible for any grants until you have submitted French tax returns. It will also depend on your income however as you have visas the income required for those x 2 would likely be over the limit for any aid so I wouldn’t count on anything.
Thanks for commenting 😊 I did a bit of research this week and like you say, we won’t be able to make any sort of application until next year but the threshold is €45,000 which is in excess of our projected earnings so I think it’ll definitely be worth checking out once we filled out our tax returns ☺️
The meat is incredibly lean compared to the states. We bought several different kinds of meat to cook and eat at restaurants and we found it all lacking flavor.

activate visa in a new country - apply for free grant to heat your house. good luck with that.
