5:40 The funny thing is that out of the encounters she listed as Alpharad killing, only the Farfetch'd didn't have a four-times weakness.
And none of them were four times weak to grass, Charizard four times resisted grass.
A lot of people are saying you and Mikey doing a Soullocke, but I think it would be way more fun to see you and Jack do one. the chaotic energy of it would be hilarious, plus Mikey hates nuzlockes anyways.
Yeah I agree getting Jack to do it would be better than Mikey. I love Mikey's content, but it's clear he doesn't enjoy playing nuzlockes, and forcing a content creator to play something they don't like doesn't make for fun content. Plus Jack is just amazing with nuzlockes.

Every time I see Jacob's luck in this nuzlocke experience I think "that guy needs to buy a lottery ticket."
Considering all the misfortune he had in his first Nuzlocke, he was bound to have insanely good luck at some point.

As another Jacob, I can confirm that we're often very lucky 😅
People are always so surprised that Alpharad accidently KOed the Farfetch'd, Gyrados and Charizard but you have to remember that was the first few routes, so they were likely level 2-4 and Alpharad was using a fully evolved starter with a level advantage, of course he was killing them.
Yeah I'd have been surprised if the Torterra WASN'T steamrolling the first route
Farfetch'd I understand, but Charizard and Gyarados are also fully evolved Pokémon. And Gyarados has Intimidate. I'd say those two dropping easily to Torterra is still a surprise.

I love how she put the hats on the pokemon to show who owned who, and that she was playing with the male outfit and he was in the female outfit. This soullink was nuts.
I love how they fused the designs of Jaiden and AlphaRad's respective Ethan and Lyra characters into one character for the video

Cradily didn't get Leech Seed until the Gen 8 games, but that would have been a fantastic help here.

It sucks Salamance type is no longer a thing. It was hilarious looking up weaknesses and Google saying it or Onyx as a result.
For a short amount of time there was also Electabuzz type I think.
For a tiny bit there was also Charizard Type

I wouldn't be surprised if it was finally fixed because of this playthrough bringing this to prominent attention. Jaiden has a huge audience.
Because of Jaiden's video, I'll always refer to the Kimono Girls of Ecruteak as 'A Horde of Asian Women'
I have a way bigger appreciation for cradilly after my sapphire nuzlock and seeing Jayden use one so well made me think “I did not use that thing properly at all and it still helped a ton”
She probably should have got Lileep instead of Anorith in her Ruby Nuzlocke, now that I think on it.

Do a soul link with Jack but have Mikey there setting random extra rules or messing with you two in some way (since he doesn’t actually like nuzlockes).
I imagine a Soul Link with Jack would be a nightmare because he'd absolutely kill a pairing that favors you out of spite.
There is literally a running joke with Alpharad (Jacob) being "the luckiest boy" started in Mario party and just seems to be carrying on in Pokemon now

This and the Friendlock season 2 playthroughs have made Cradily the best fossil pokemon in my eyes.

This reminds me of the time I helped a couple poketubers on their way through the sinnoh league. This now makes twice I’ve handled a final champion battle and saved it. -some story telling craydily
I like how Jaiden lost a mon to Froslass everytime she faced it, it’s like Froslass was made to beat Jaiden LMFAO
Don't forget that they always had a Snow Warning Abomasnow before the Froslass showed up.
Froslass to her seems like Porygon2 to me, the thing that's somehow managed to give me a ton of grief every time I battle one.

I appreciate that you pronounced Jan's name correctly in the video, especially since Jaiden didn't (not that she did it purposefully, I'm sure if she could go back she would pronounce it correctly in the video).
Nice reaction videos, I enjoy being able to rewatch videos like this through a different TH-camr's viewing lens. It almost feels like we're watching together in a parasocial sort of way.
I know Alpharad knows the proper pronunciation (he has called Jan by name with the proper "yahn" pronunciation), but still names the rival "Jan" as in Jan Brady, as a bit. Possibly the same thing, here.

Don't underestimate Cradily - it's a pain in the butt to train up, but when you get it where it needs to be, it is INSANELY tanky and it also helps that it has an incredibly annoying movepool.
The Hoenn fossils are both great imo, and while i too was skeptical about Beautifly, the one I used in my bug only playthrough was very fast and along with my dustox set up status effects like no ones business. Never underestimate a Swarm Beautifly with Quiver dance or bug buzz.

About the Kimono Girls, there is a difference for them in the remakes:
In Gold/Silver/Crystal, you can battle them as soon you arrive in Ecruteak City and you can battle one at the time (can go to Pokémon Center between battles).
In Heart Gold/Sould Silver, you battle them after getting the last badge and you have to battle all five in a row, without breaks.
First I would love to see the utter nonsense that would be a PM7/PlurpleCliffe SoulLocke.
Second I would love to see some big collab vid between you, Jack, Mikey and Jaiden. That could quite possibly be the greatest Pokémon video on TH-cam.

a soul link with jack would bthe funniest thing ever, just because john is gonna tryhard (in a good way not in a annoying way) and jack is gonna screw him over (intentionally and unintantionally but still in a fun way) and it would be the funniest video on the platform.
Soul links in the new Violet and Scarlet should be great considering the multiplayer functions. You can actually journey together

He remembers the Kimono Girl fight happening sooner because in Gold/Silver/Crystal it did happen sooner. You fight the girls on your first visit to Ecruteak to impress the patron into giving you the Surf HM. The remake changed this to a fight with a Rocket grunt then fighting the girls to access Lugia and Ho-oh.
Seeing all they're friends is about to make me cry. 😭

One thing I’ve learned by watching a lot of these nuzlocke videos (Namely this and Salty’s Friendlocke Season 2) is that Cradily is a really strong Pokémon

Fun Fact but if you look closely at the animation when Jaiden said they went down the ladder in the burned tower to "scare off the dogs" You see Entei running off with a "dead" Suicune draped over its back to hammer in the whole "We killed Suicune a while ago." joke.

healing in battle in nuzlockes is part of the stratergy and experience sitting therewith your super soaker pp stalling the npc hopeing they dont crit kill is so much of the nuzlocke experience
13:05 My rule regarding healing items is that I can use them in trainer battles if and only if the opposing trainer uses them first.
Wild battles are fair game, though admittedly this was just so the Grand Underground wouldn't skewer me.
