Very nice walk! I love how you periodically stopped to enjoy the amazing scenery! The exploration of the castle ruins at the end was such a great way to end the walk! Absolutely fascinating! Thank you!
Stunning walk, such a beautiful coastline - thank you for sharing this with us and for your narration. That bit at 31:25, I was just picturing myself falling down there if I were filming it, and the next thing you slip - luckily not all the way to the bottom! The way you captured the ruins and cliffs towards the end looked like a scene from a film!
It really is! So glad you enjoyed it. It’s a stunning walk along those cliffs. You might check out the other Scotland walks, especially up the Cullen loop -H
I really enjoyed you coastal walks from Cullen. I like your commentary and when you look around. It's great when you show an interesting feature or object. That's what I would do if I was actually walking there. Thanks.
I live in Minnesota and I'm totally landlocked except for Lake Superior and I don't get to see that very often oh, so when you're walking next to the ocean the North Sea or wherever please turn your camera on the water and let me watch and watch the waves rolling in it's such a joy to see such a beautiful thing thank you!
This is my absolute favorite virtual walk on TH-cam. I full screen these on my iPad and walk on my treadmill - Something I began during COVID - Many walks on TH-cam are silent so I just put my headphones on, connect to my phone and walk while listening to music. From the comments here, there is commentary so next time, I’ll make the hike with no music so I can hear about this gorgeous place. Thank you so very much for the time put into this!! (In case anyone else is looking for a great music pairing - Try this walk with Nightwish…The Greatest Show on Earth was a perfect accompaniment. 👍🏼)
Believe it or not, I know this area too. I spent some of my childhood at the RAF base at Kinloss and Findhorn on the western end of that walk near Forres. When the sun shines it's beautiful. Dolphins swimming in the sea or porpoises and little birds called puffins.
I love walking along the coast of an island. It gives you such an interesting perspective of where the lines of a place are. Thanks for this, Henry. : )
@@CityWalks I can get and about in the local area where I'm currently reside during this lockdown, but I'd rather be out there away from the 'busy' towns and cities. Hopefully this lockdown will end letting us adventurers get back out there doing what we love. :D

You're a brave soul! I could barely watch at the end! Some of my ancestors came from northern Scotland and the Orkneys - it must have been a grim existence. They ended up in Nova Scotia and their descendants are still there. That coastal walk was impressive but bleak and cold looking.
This is fantastic! I'm so afraid of heights like this that I'd never make it. But I can watch you risk your neck, somehow! It makes me peddle my stationary bike faster! Seeing ancient things like the castle at the end...awesome.
I have watched this walk all the way through for like easily 20 times. So good. The ending? The finding later Findlater? Totally gripping how dangerous that kinda just rolls off your back!
Really enjoyed the walk, the views were amazing! No traveling no with Covid19 so I’m working on getting fit and enjoying your videos. Scotland has been a dream of mine for many years since I first read Outlander 20 years ago. Thanks from Ontario 🇨🇦.
The final landscape is majestic, The Sea , Sky and the rocks uniteds! But You waking alone in more of 1 hour, by deserts ways! Do you not feeling fear or tiredness?
Thanks for watching. I actually enjoy the solitude and I'm not to worried about much. I did get tired on this walk because I had to walk all the way back too (not filmed). Thanks again. -H
OH Henry, this walk was beautiful. Thank you so much for these nature walks. Have you considered coming down to the North East of England. We have more castles than you can shake a flag at. Walks aplenty in the North East of England. No.1 Northumberland Coastal Path - 100km (62ml) of the best coast ever. You can tell I live in Northumberland. Also, there is Hadrian's Wall. Coast to Coast (East to West)
Hi Susan, thanks so much. And yes, I’d love to film more walks in England and the UK in general. I love the walking culture and all the trails. We’ll see when I can get over there again. -H
Stop for several hours at about 47 minutes and scrabble around under the rocks, especially where the ebb tide runs round bigger rocks, and you will soon fill your pockets with empty shells of Trivia Monacha. I am old and gammy now and won't be back, so can only now reveal to the world what I was doing. Over several years I collected enough to fill a crystal goblet for each of my 2 daughters, daughter-in-law and 5 grand-daughters. They all have pleasant memories of days spent at Sunnyside. and as well as enjoying the beach, the collecting is remembered as a family event.
It’s sort of depends on the wind and other ambient noises. Often it will cause an issue. In particular, this camera had no way of setting the record sensitivity. I actually had to turn all the way up and boosted it in Post. My newer ones tend to be a little bit better. Thanks for the suggestion. - H
@@marydezember_author I believe it was June. Apparently it was pretty dry for that time of year and we had mostly very nice weather but still a few stormy days too. Hope you can get there in person.
I love your video. Next week i'm going to Scotland to check that place and i also want to make a video about it. My question is do i need a permnission to film it and upload it on youtubue? Is it considered like a public place?
This was a fantastic walk. it made me wonder how various seasides can be so different. I have never seen anything quite like this area. Now I understand why all the houses I have seen are stone. I don't see any trees anywhere. I wonder if they ever had them there. After such a long walk, what comes to mind is how you get back to civilization or do you have to walk back the same way?
Hi Victoria. It varies depending on the route. Sometimes I walk a "loop" that brings me back to my starting point. In this case I just retraced my steps. It goes more quickly when I'm not filming. -Henry
The castle in Scotland do you have to retrace your steps and go all the way back or do you have a helicopter magically lift you from the castle I'd take you back to the mainland? Great trip.
Thanks - good footage for stationary bike ride. Missed the "plummet to your death" bit, though - did you disengage to power button for that? Serious question - I know there are managed deer herds in Scotland, but do the natives have to deal with disease carrying deer ticks? You were traipsing through some typical tick habitat.
Good question I’m not sure the answer. However, ticks and other bity things Are pretty much everywhere so I try not to worry too much about it. Thanks for watching and the comment. - Henry
I can’t help but imagine that if this were done in the states it would result in lawsuits and serious injury. As well as damage to the structure itself. Kind of a shame but a significant difference in culture. - Henry
