Wow... what an incredible video. I cannot even comprehend the man hours that it took to create all those amazing stone walls and houses. All the garden gates, the peaceful sounds, the gabled roofs , the crunch of your footsteps..... perfection! The history and beauty of this village is a feast for the eyes as well as the imagination. I can't imagine living this peaceful existence.
Good afternoon Liane. Thank you for your lovely comment. Yes, that is some wonderful craftsmanship in the village when you think about it. Hope to see you again on another walk. Regards. OAAW
Had those same thoughts when seeing the rocks walls everywhere when I lived on the Azores. The key is that those walls were built over hundreds of years by uncounted generations. Everyone added a little more until you have what you see today. So not a big effort for any one person.
Ahh soooo tranquil, not many have this on their doorstep anymore. This is truely England......very important to keep the crowds away. May this little village retain it's beauty......
This is wonderful! I’ve been very sick lately and this beautiful, gentle walk is just what I needed. No music track, no talking, slow paced perfection.
@@bigbadbootydaddy515 villages are different here. In England the cottages can survive much longer, presumably because there's less cold and damp to eat away at the stonework. So you have lots of mediaeval villages in England, with houses still occupied. You don't get that here.
ut@@bigbadbootydaddy515 their original cottages are very different and many were pulled down to build these foul modern houses with big gates.I love ireland but its villages are completly different
Exactly....I say execute all illegals, immigrants and non Anglo races from England and all of Europe and Scandinavia...rid our beautiful lands from the filth and scum 💪
I grew up on the Isle Of Wight in the seventies, and there were small villages & hamlets that were very similar to this in many ways. The poorer natives still owned their stone cottages & were able to sustain themselves at that time. My neighbours had a 15th century stone cottage & were often unemployed. It was a beautiful place to grow up, but it would be impossible today. The natives are all gone and wealthy folk have taken over everything. That does not take the beauty away from this upload, but it is tough when you've watched similar places undergo such radical changes. Reminds me of James Herriot's Yorkshire.
Tell me, please, what do the inhabitants of small villages do? I am delighted to watch various videos about villages in England - everything there is so clean, neat... I don't see if there are domestic animals in the villages (chickens, geese, cows, pigs, rabbits). If so, where do they live? I am watching a video from Ukraine.
@@ІринаРоговська-й5р That's a very good question really. It's all changed so radically even since the 1970s. I imagine that Ukranian villages are still more like UK villages were in the past. Your question about where everything's gone ( livestock, and other village necessities) is an answer in its way. That kind of true working village is mostly a thing of the past in the UK. The village I grew up in during the seventies is now a quiet, very tidy, sanctuary for wealthy commuters or retired people. The houses are far too expensive for anyone else now. The native people that used to live in them had to move into towns or cities. I'm not sure about the country as a whole, but I think these facts about my old village apply to most of the UK. Perhaps someone else knows of old-style villages in the UK that I'm unaware of?
I can literally feel the tension leaving my body while watching your walks! The natural sounds. Nothing manmade except your footsteps and even they are calming. Thank you for your video walks .

I moved from UK thirteen years ago from Norfolk and there are many villages there that are like the Cotswolds . This walk was lovely and to hear the familiar bird songs certainly took me 12,000 miles back home. Thank you.
Almost 20 years ago I stayed in Bingley Yorkshire, I have always dreamed to visit that lovely village again. It seems that my dream has come true, though it is not Bingley, even much more picturesque. Thank you for video and sweet memories
This makes my heart just ache with an intense longing that words can't convey. Cotswolds was my dream world at 14...I had mmseveral books , it was 1985......when my real home life was just a hellish abusive nightmare...now to have this gift....I craved more than ANYTHING to make it there....I felt and all my life felt such profound kinship for England & all of UK.....knowing at 51 I'll NEVER make it to England ....I'll only ever have it in my dreams...💔 It's so stunningly gorgeous it almost to much!
Ah bless. Hope you get the chance to visit. We take our countryside for granted. Probably why we have hoards of people trying to get residence in the country
Frau Hulda, my childhood home life was a hellish abusive nightmare too. My mother went through 5 divorces by the time I was a teen. As soon I graduated from high school I got out. Not long after that I made my way to England. Believe me. You are getting the best of England this way. The reality is not as good as the storybook fantasy of stone houses and cottage gardens. I hope you've managed to make a very cosy home for yourself and have a garden of your own to enjoy. I would like to imagine if the Out and About Walking guy walked by your home one morning and filmed that there would be people dreaming of how lovely it all is too.
Eastleach is beautiful. I live about 15 miles away and walk there regularly. It's as gorgeous as it looks on this video. My now grown up kids paddled in the river Leach from the clapper bridge every summer. The two medieval churches in close proximity are because it's actually two parishes separated by the river. Eastleach Turville and Eastleach Martin. It's the quintessential Cotswolds and never full of tourists, an undiscovered gem. Glorious Gloucestershire at it's finest.
Good evening Gary. Thank you for the lovely comment and sharing some of those nice memories with us of past times enjoyed in Eastleach. Thanks for your support & all the very best to you.
One of my favourite spots. The pub is a lovely spot to sit back and have a cup of coffee. They often play jazz there. But the feel of Eastleach, even though this is very early, is so perfectly captured here. The atmosphere is so gentle.
I like watercolouring, reading, knitting, gardening, walking, listening to the sounds of Nature. If I were 50 years younger I would relocate there, and I would fit in perfectly....
And people say nothing about England is beautiful. To the people complaining about the "background music" there is none whatsoever. This is what it sounds like in the english countryside at all times of day with varying degrees of intensity especially early in the morning. We have no major natural predators left in England they have all been hunted to extinction which means all of the remaining wildlife isn't afraid to make sound and roam freely. Stunning scenery. Beautiful country.
The beautiful Cotswold village of Eastleach. Wonderful clapper footbridge and a riverside walk through wild daffodils in the Spring. The closely-sited early medieval churches of the parishes of Eastleach Turville and Eastleach Martin. The Victoria pub is a welcoming watering-hole. Peter Ustinov grew up in this village. A unique local event called the “Eastleach frolics” takes place in early Summer. One of the Cotswolds’ best kept secrets.
Good evening to you Ray. Thank you so much for your informative comment. Eastleach is truly a hidden gem in the Cotswold Crown. What an absolute pleasure it was to walk there. I may well return next Spring for the sights of the wild daffodils. All the best to you. OAAW

Warm summer morning. Birdsong . Old buildings remind us of the history of past years. A lot of trees and green plants. This is what gives all the beauty to the English countryside. 🤗
Im American and its crazy to see people living their regular lives in such old historic buildings. Really cool! I havent gotten past 00:17 and i dont think ive seen a wall that old ever in my life. The oldest man-made stuff here in the states is only 200 something years old.
Have you seen ADRIAN'S WALL???? It stretches across SCOTISH/ENGLISH BORDER what the ROMANS BUILT to keep the PIC'S OUT (SAVAGE SCOTISH) from raiding ENGLAND.And you can see what's left of the ROMAN ARMY GARRISON and BUILDINGS.. Pretty cool stuff..
Pretty sure you have a few buildings over there that are touching 300 year old. But yes, history is just everywhere here. Most villages and towns have a church at least 400-800 years old that you can just walk into . The thing is, we don't really even notice after a while.
Not true. America has very little history. It's dull, so absolutely dull. Even central and south America has more European history. We are sterile, isolated,a truly a sad country. Only few places remaining with character. Tell me last time u saw something like this anywhere in America? And I'm not talking some Martha vineyards for the elites. Where was last time u saw no sidewalks?

Beautiful English villages. So evocative. Greetings from Ireland.
Thanks for visiting. All the very best to you
Don't they have them in Ireland too ??
@@bigbadbootydaddy515 villages are different here. In England the cottages can survive much longer, presumably because there's less cold and damp to eat away at the stonework. So you have lots of mediaeval villages in England, with houses still occupied. You don't get that here.
@@gezley100 okay. Thank you so much for that explanation.
ut@@bigbadbootydaddy515 their original cottages are very different and many were pulled down to build these foul modern houses with big gates.I love ireland but its villages are completly different

I actually thought id died and gone to heaven as I walked with you . Thank you so very much for sharing 🇮🇪
I hope that this is what it really is like.
Thank you very much for your reply@@steelyman08

I moved from UK thirteen years ago from Norfolk and there are many villages there that are like the Cotswolds . This walk was lovely and to hear the familiar
bird songs certainly took me 12,000 miles back home.
Cotswolds was my dream world at 14...I had mmseveral books , it was 1985......when my real home life was just a hellish abusive nightmare...now to have this gift....I craved more than ANYTHING to make it there....I felt and all my life felt such profound kinship for England & all of UK.....knowing at 51 I'll NEVER make it to England ....I'll only ever have it in my dreams...💔
It's so stunningly gorgeous it almost to much!

So good to see England as it once was, beautiful and peaceful. So much history in our amazing part of the world (Europe and Great Britain)
Thank you for commenting. All the best to you.
This was really well done, slow panning, no music, no talking, letting the scene play out just as it would in real time.
Thank you for the experience!
Hi, David. Thanks very much for the positive feedback. All the best to you.
One of my favourite spots. The pub is a lovely spot to sit back and have a cup of coffee. They often play jazz there. But the feel of Eastleach, even though this is very early, is so perfectly captured here. The atmosphere is so gentle.
Good evening Jago :) It does look like a lovely spot to sit back & relax. Thanks for walking with me. All the best. OAAW
I was surprised if the music in Norway, London, Tromso and others in that area. Jazz music. Who would have ever believe 🇺🇲
Jago: You are right! And the word GENTLE, as in the beautiful English hymn ‚I vow to thee my country‘, is key here!
I like watercolouring, reading, knitting, gardening, walking, listening to the sounds of Nature. If I were 50 years younger I would relocate there, and I would fit in perfectly....

Здесь , как будто время остановилось . Какая архитектура , какая природа , просто восторг .
Thanks very much for your comment. I am glad you enjoyed the video.
People were saying it is a good video because there was no background music.
The sound of birds is so soothing ❤
OAAW

@@v8cool231 they likely live in the Northwest or someplace like that. Lots of places in the Northeast have buildings from the 1600s.
