    Being injured could be an ironic blessing. So many of us see athletes whem they are at their prime but we see the fitness. You are showing us the mental endurance behind the fitness. The human mind is such an amazing muscle we forget how strong it is until we really tap into it. Thank you so much for showing us true grit and resilience.

    Couple garage gym questions
    1. Do you have something on the floor? Coating or something to help with dropping weights?
    2. Which rack were using in this video for pull-ups?
    Thanks Josh! Pay the man!

    Before I use to rely on motivation but that only gets you so far. Now I rely on drive cause even on those days that you just dont want to do anuthing. I push my self to do it and get moving. Even if it's just 10 pushups. That's why the analogy of the sand was head on. I like that. Some days are just going suck but still got to go for it prepare your mind for it anyway. Ever since I started watching your vids it helps me continue my drive to make my self better. I found myself saying pay the man during work outs. Thank you for that. Keep up the great vids. Pay the man!!!

    Idea: write a short read on crossfit training methods and ideas for injuries/recovery as this caliber for those who have been injured, are recovering, and may one day become injured. I know what the mental struggles are like to have to have to cut back but still try. The motivation and guidance could be a life saver for some to not give up.

    Really appreciate your explanation on mental preparedness as opposed to mental toughness. You become fitter by preparing the body, therefore you must be better able to deal with challenges by preparing the mind for them. Never thought of it that way, and it just hit a note for me, really helps thanks.
    Good to see how you can adapt to injury too, really appreciate all you guys share. Hope the leg heals up for you soon, will be great to see Bridges name up on the leaders board for the 2020 crossfit games.....

      Always brother, I have a question about ice bath or cold bath/showers, about how long should you sit or take one?

    • @JoshBridges
      @JoshBridges  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Spartan Matt25 I typically sit in the cold tub for about 3-4 minutes during the off season and up to 10 minutes in season

    Josh - Wish you had a nice 50 Meter Pool close by to incorporate into your workouts.....some nice 250 Meter free-style sprints in the water...then, pop out of the water to Pull-Ups with Weighted Vest + Dips + Push-Ups ....back into the Pool for another 250 Meter Sprint and then back out again [you know the drill]... = No hard sharp impact on the knee, but the rhythmic movement of the legs in the water will assist healing...also, the Cardio of the Free-Style Sprints in the water would be off the charts...another super great cardio is true Deep Water Running. I work out at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center in Pasadena CA...It is a 12 foot deep, 50 Meter Pool....and I often do free-style swim, mixed in with Deep Water Running Sprints....I know you know what I am trying to describe Bro...Elbows and Kneecaps / like a 100 yard sprint...but you are doing it in the 12 foot deep water...then pop out and hit the Pull Ups, etc.....You will be back in business in no time Bro...and no hard, sharp pressures impacted on that recovering knee....Great VDOs that you are doing...Thanks!

    It’s funny. I don’t like crossfit at all but your videos kept showing up in my recommendations. Then I saw how much you interact with your fans and are willing to spend time to answer questions. I really respect that, so I subscribe and like your videos to help out your TH-cam metrics. Karma is a funny thing.

    Awesome video as always! I am wondering if you could do a video on what you would do if you have a shoulder injury like rotator cuff? I have been trying to train through my injury but it doesn’t seem to be getting better with stretching or light weight warmup routines. Thanks man!
